balls the rain is going to -- because the rain is going to move in. >> reporter: that's right, after 6:00 p.m., 7:00 p.m., the showers will move south of the city. yesterday we topped out at 90 degrees, today we're forecasting 86, 87. 70 in allentown. poconos 64. cape may, 64. atlantic city, 66 degrees. satellite and radar, clouds quickly on the increase now, you can see them stretching through central pennsylvania all that will increase and push into our neck of the woods as the day wears on. as you look toward the bottom of the screen. you see the showers pop up south of charleston, west virginia an. today is a good one, we'll have sunshine.

sunny 74. 1:00 p.m., it's warm and humid, 85. 3:00 p.m., 86. 5:00 p.m., 85 degrees. we only manage to reach a high of 86 today that will break the stretch of 90s that we have seen so far. we've had three straight days of 90 degrees or higher in philadelphia. it's technically a heat wave. today we'll break that and come to an end. storm tracker 6 live here's the moisture from the remnants of bonnie off the coast of charleston, south carolina. this moisture moves in. right now it looks harmless enough, they have not seen much wind damage or flooding in the carolinas, but we could have flooding concerns here as we get into tomorrow afternoon. tropical downpours is on the way. the forecast guidance is suggesting 2 to 4 inches of rain in parts of the area.

civil war general george meade is laid to rest there. "action news" was at the vfw post 1 in wilmington. all across the area parades and ceremonies are honoring those who gave their lives for our freedom. surveillance cameras could help find the shooter who killed a man in southwest philadelphia this morning. the 30-year-old victim was shot multiple times in the head in a van at 52nd and woodland avenue. it was a violent night in the city of trenton. 6 people are in the hospital after two separate shootings first happened before 1:00 a.m. in the 600 block of martin luther king boulevard in that incident four people were hit by gunfire. around 1:30 a.m., trenton police responded to a shooting of two

people at a corner grocery store in the 200 block of spring street. all victims were taken to capital health regional medical center. a rider taking part in the cow town rodeo has died from injuries he received in the accident last night. the bare back rider was trampled during the the event. cow town was contacted they had no comment. torrential rains caused mass flooding in texas. two people died and four missing. that state is not out of the woods just yet. elizabeth hur has the latest. >> reporter: this will be a memorial day weekend of bad memories for so many in texas. flood waters chasing them from their homes. we got what we could and left. watching the water, have nowhere to go. >> reporter: always streets became rivers they dialed 911.

we got ahold of the fire department this morning and they came by at 8:00 a.m. and got us. >> reporter: firefighters went door to door rescuing people from the rising waters. this man was removed on a stretcher. up to 16 inches of rain in 24 hours washing out roads and submerging cars. at least four dead after days of violent storms. in wichita an 11-year-old boy is missing after being swept away after he fell into a creek trying to cross it. this family heading to their son's graduation by boat. i have all his stuff, cap and gown here. >> reporter: in the southeast they are bracing for tropical storm bonnie set to hit south carolina. high winds and high surf have the lifeguards on high alert, the big concern potentially deadly rip tides. it's a little chop, a little rough, but not terrible. i think it will get worse.

coast of charleston, south carolina. these are the tropical systems you want to see, the ones that produce beneficial rains and no wind damage. that's what's reported here. they have seen rough surf and rip tide, but only 3 to 4 inches of rain throughout a 24 hour period. which has not caused much flooding or much in the way of wind with this. all this will move northward and into the delaware and lehigh valleys to pretty much ruin your memorial day. future tracker 6, increasing clouds, clouds lower and thicken throughout the evening hours. 7:00 p.m. this model has the area rain-free. accuweather suggests there could pop ups around south jersey and delaware and the delaware bay region. regardless it will move in after midnight tonight. 9:00 a.m. it's coming down like cats and dogs across the philadelphia area. the i-95 metro from wilmington

to trenton. when we start seeing maroons and deep roads and the magenta color there, that means rainfall rates are one to two inches an hour. that's a downpour. we're seeing that through the afternoon memorial day. hopefully it clears out by late afternoon and we start the drying process. memorial day itself will be cloudy and damp with the heavy downpours. rain arrives tonight probably in the form of showers early between 7:00 a.m. and -- 7:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. it transitions to downpours. one to two inches of rain expected, but there could heavier months that could cause flash flooding issues in poor drainage and low-lying areas. this future tracker 6 model has 4 inches of rain when all is

information about a lightning strike that left nine people unconscious in paris. the bolt hit a park in paris where phoenix gathered for a birthday celebration. 11 people most of them children were injured. overnight came word at that an off duty -- that an off duty firefighter saw what happened and rendered first aid. another lightning strike

bonnie, first comes the clouds and the rain and the downpours as we get into memorial day i felt. today is a nice day, 11:00 a.m., we're bright and sunny, 82 degrees with high, thin clouds mixing in the sky. 85 degrees by 1:00 p.m. increasing clouds, 86. at that point we're probably more clouds than sun. 5:00 p.m. we're completely cloudy. 85 degrees. increasing clouds high of 86. that's the call from accuweather. yesterday we hit 90 degrees. friday we hit 90 degrees and thursday we hit 90-degree. so we've seen three straight days where we hit that 90-degree mark. that means officially it is a heat wave in the city of philadelphia. accuweather suggests we could see 32 days of 90-degree-plus heat this summer. 86 in the city. 75 for the jersey shore. once again a sea breeze keeps you cooler down there. sun and clouds, it will be a little sticky.

90s. tomorrow it all goes down hill. later this evening, 7:00 p.m., 8:00 p.m., showers could move in south to north. the high today 86. allentown, 63. trenton, 67. cape may, 66. these numbers more important numbers represent how much moisture is in the error what it feels like out there. numbers have retreated. dewpoints have dropped into the upper 50s, low 60s. all numbers were in the mid 60s yesterday afternoon. that's why it felt so muggy yesterday afternoon. you get into the mid 60s it's uncomfortable. today the numbers will lift, as well as the day wears on. we start to get the clouds rolling in here, eventually the tropical rain. right now the center of bonnie

is 50 miles per hour southeast of charleston, south carolina. maximum sustained winds are 45 to 50 miles per hour. it's not a wind storm it's producing beneficial rains for the carolinas. heavier rains expected across the i-95 corridor from richmond to new york city. you can see the outer bands working inland across cape hatteras and wilmington. clouds in the afternoon. after 6:00 p.m. that's when showers could start popping up to our south, south of philadelphia. but this particular model keeps us dry through 7:00 p.m. accuweather says allow for a couple of showers. after midnight tonight that's when the heavier downpours start moving on in. they will stin through -- contie through the morning hours into the first participant of the afternoon. -- participant of the part of the afternoon. in the evening hours, all the rain will be off the coast,

erin o'hern has more on preventing bullying. >> reporter: bullying used to be dismissed as a right of passage that will help kids to the hard knocks of adult life. the national academy of science recently called it a serious public health problem hurting victims and bullies often into adulthood. i was kind of sad because he was calling me stupid. i was depressed after that. you want to bully back, but you know it's not the right thing. >> reporter: children's hospital saiz bullying -- says bullying is to exert power over others. there are bullying hot spots, but it's just as likely to happen through phone text and e-mail and video games. parents may not be aware that xbox for example or other

games that have chat features can be agreat way to play, but can be used as an opportunity to bully others. >> reporter: parents used to be advised to control kids' pass worth and monitor computer traffic. kids know technology better than we do, as parents. >> reporter: what works is good communication between parents and children be being a good role model and teaching respect, empathy and restraint. set aside five or ten minutes to talk about their days and learn about their friends and school. the opening communication can be vital. cyber bullying kids don't come to parent or teachers. >> reporter: if kids witness an incident, don't watch, report the victim and walk away, report them to the teacher or
