we begin this noon with developing news. a collision has injured 16 students including william penn students. paramedics spent hours rescuing one of victims. chad pradelli is live at the delaware state police head converts with the latest. >> reporter: not a lot of details are released with this investigation but a few moments ago a spokesperson with the colonial school district confirmed that at least four injured were students at william penn high school, they were taken to the local hospital and they were seriously injured. >> we are just relieved that none of the injuries appear to be life-threatening, we know that two of the students were siblings, the family is at the hospital as is an assistant principal from william penn. >> the collision collapsed the front of the suv, one teenage

victim was trapped inside. it took paramedics and firefighters 1 s 45 minutes to release the girl. the suv crossed the median on basin avenue. the newcastle county department of public safety says that the patients are suffering from abdominal and lower extremity injuries. >> it appears the students were on their way to school and at least two of them are siblings, we don't have much more information than that. >> reporter: and names of the injured have not been released. the cause of the head-on collision is still under investigation. i'm chad pradelli, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. now to breaking news from south philadelphia where police found a man's body notice middle

of i-95. chopper 6 hd was over the scene at 10:00 this morning. police believe that the man fell from an overpass near christopher columbus boulevard and washington afternoon. they believe he is 40 years old but don't know his name. the situation causes traffic to backup for miles. traffic is once again moving at a normal pace, stay with 6abc.com and "action news" for updates on the story as more information becomes available. a man remains at large after police say he attacked a mother and daughter in the frankford section of philadelphia. is happened on the 1900 block of prat street, a 19-year-old girl told police she was sexual assaulted while her mother was badly beaten. police say that the suspect is a family member of the victims and they are searching for him now. one of the delaware --

charged -- the 16-year-old is the only one blessed to have striked amy joyner fan sis. the hearing is set for july. the other two suspects are facing less serious charges and will be tried in family court. philadelphia fire investigators are working to determine the cause of a braise in an occurred at an american legion post. dozens of veterans and their families were wrapping up a memorial day banquet when someone noticed the smoke. american legion members believe the blaze started in the attic and one firefighter suffered a minor injury. the nicer conditions are back after a pretty bloomy memorial day. going outside on sky 6 hd in penn's landing. and the delaware river there. warm and sunny and all good if

down at the shore it was wet most of the day. the action cam out earlier, it's hard to find a cloud in the sky, we found one, this looks like what sara? a shrimp. that is her cloud interpretation, any way temperature 84 degrees currently in philadelphia. a beautiful day out there. dew point has slipped below the 60 degree threshold for humid air, not feeling all that humid. at 8 miles per hour. the wind has turned out of the north and that will help to lower our humidity a bit. 82 in allentown un82 in reading and lancaster and 84 in philadelphia and down the shore in cape may, 74 at this hour. there go the clouds, when we took to the airwaves earlier this morning we were socked in with fog down at the shore in areas like millville and that cloud cover would exit the coast and really has. a little high stuff filtering in over pittsburgh, it may be part

of the package today. but mostly sunny and less humid through the day and really seeing the humidity drop up north, and 86 is your high temperature in allentown and bethlehem and easton. 75 and mostly sunny and lower humidity at the shore and later in the day it feels sticky as you stroll the boards and that humidity has a tendency to drop a bit in philadelphia. not as humid and lots of sunshine, and definitely warm enough to keep the cool drinks going. especially if you are out there playing sports or working out or just doing some outdoor work. but at least it's not as humid. for the evening commute, shades still essentiaessential. and in the mid-80s by as late as 7:00, a lot of sunshine out there with high cloud cover mixing in. if you head to the phillies contest that season, washington nationals versus the phillies,

mostly clear and 85 for the first pitch and 74 for the ninth. you don't need a jacket tonight. 66 is the overnight low and mainly clear and comfortable and winds light and variable. and tomorrow a frontal boundary that is suppressing the humidity to the south and keeping the affects of bonnie down to the south. that keeps us warm high of 83 and plenty of sunshine and a beautiful day with the humidity staying down there. now, of course things change a bit as the frontal boundary to the west heads down into the end of the week and thursday night a shower and better chance of that on friday. the next few days no problems, 83 tomorrow and sunny and nice and great for phillies fans and union fans over the next few days. clouds and rain on thursday, we could see a little bit more cloud cover developing and friday more clouds and 76 degrees and sunny breaks and in the afternoon and evening some
