the king of prussia mall back on march 31st. it was first shown in court back in early may at a preliminary hearing. we were there as the detective narrated the video you're about to see frame by frame. a judge decided last week that it was in the public's interest to release it. in the surveillance video from march 31st, you can see a woman police identified as 32-year-old sherri amoore approach malekah hunter shopping with her seven week old son and her toddler. the two women did not know each other before this encounter. amoore strung a conversation with hunter and the two can be seen on the video walking through the mall together. they sat town in the food court and shared a meal. after awhile amoore picked up the infant and hunter handed her a blanket to cover the child. she had held the baby boy for quite some time while hunter attended to her toddler son. still standing amoore picked up her purse then some of the items from the table and walked to the trash can to throw them away with the infant still in her arms.

with the baby's mother still seated at the table looking at her toddler amoore walked away with the child in what appears to be a fast pace. she crossed the food court. you can see her walk by the escalators. then she took the stairs two at a time. watch as she exited the mall with the infant in her arms. when the video was shown at the preliminary hearing amoore's attorney was asked if this is an opened and closed case. >> it's opened and closed as to what happened. what's not closed is why it happened. and the case will wind its way through the court and we'll be able to show evidence as to why it happened. >> reporter: amoore's family called police when they saw the surveillance images of her leaving the mall with the baby on the day of the abduction. the child was found safe at amoore's tredyffrin apartment. she told authorities then she delivered a baby in february but the child the not live long and passed away. what's youwhat's your client's f mind? confused.

emotional. upset. not clear. >> reporter: at that hearing we asked amoore's attorney if she had ever actually been pregnant and he told us there had been a baby shower with more than a hundred people in attendance but didn't explain any further. amoore's formal arraignment on charges of kidnapping and other offenses is set for june 22nd. she has already waived her appearance. live in king of prussia, i'm sarah bloomquist, channel6 "action news. >> thank you sarah. here at the big board now nearly a year after a delaware county delivery driver was killed police now know who killed him. just hours ago they announced that they are searching for this man rodney shelton. police say shelton killed thomas childs last june 9th. childs was shot on a loading dock at ridgeway industries in yeadon. police think the motive was robbery. the district attorney thinks shelton is hiding out somewhere in either north carolina or georgia but he does have family in this area.

meantime investigators have also identified the suspect wanted for the killing of a 78-year-old man in southwest philadelphia. investigators in that case are looking for quintis clark. they say the 18-year-old killed joseph daly last week. daly was found tuesday murdered in his home in the 6300 block of theodore street. police say when they arrived at the home the back window was broken and daly's van was missing. police found that van days later at griscom and oxford avenue. if you know where clark s-please call police. >> an investigation is under way tonight after a home exploded and injured two people in new jersey. the blast because strong enough to destroy a duplex and send debris flying in a phillipsburg neighborhood. considering how powerful that explosion was, they are fully aware that the outcome could have easily been much worse. >> it is amaze nothing one was killed. >> reporter: phillipsburg new jersey mayor steven alice is talking about the massive explosion that leveled a four unit apartment house on the unit block of fillmore street this past saturday night. mayor ellis says he knew something bad happened right away. >> i felt it. i was at my house. i just left the relay for life event over at our high school and it shook the ground which is about a mile awayism amazingly only two people were injured. one victim identified as 36-year-old clay metzger suffered serious burns and remains in critical but stable condition at lehigh valley hospital. a neighbor who didn't want to be identified says it was obvious right away that metzger was badly injured. >> the neighbor was spraying a hose on him because his skin was -- it was coming off. he was -- it was so bad. >> reporter: the other person injured suffered a laceration to the face but that victim is expected to

fully recover. meanwhile the question that lingers is, how did this happen. >> we have a specialist here from elizabethtown gas, pardon me, in georgia and we also have our detectives sifting through the rubble to find the cause. >> reporter: back out live on the scene here, at least one of the neighboring homes may still have to come down. investigators are still not sure yet. also, two dogs were injured in the blast. they're being treated for burns. in fact one was burned seriously. once again still no word how this happened but several neighbors reported to police that there was an odor of gas in the neighborhood before the explosion occurred. reporting live from phillipsburg, new jersey, walter perez, channel6 "action news." >> thank you, walter. the teenage here admitted stabbing another teen to death was sentenced to eight to 16 years in prison. frisbee had already admitted to killing anita cotton in a parking lot of a walgreens store in the hunting park section of the city. the two got in a fight after the fourth of july fireworks last summer. the judge handed down that sentence today.

the trial for the man accused of killing his coworker in a montgomery county meat plant will get under way tomorrow. police say peter attend stabbed his co-worker to death last year. the motive was revenge for a prank. a jury was selected today. testimony will start tomorrow. prosecutors have already said they will not seek the death penalty if he's convicted of first degree murder. >> tonight we're learning more about muhammad ali's final days and how his life will be celebrated. >> and for the first time one of his daughters is talking about her dad and his legacy. abc's marci gonzalez is in louisville with the latestism paying tribute to the greatest, muhammad ali's body now back home in louisville, his spirit honored around the world. >> it's only fitting that all communities, all nations have an opportunity to participate in this last episode. >> reporter: the 74-year-old

died friday of septic shock due to natural causes after a decades long battle with parkinson's disease. >> i felt like he was trapped inside of his body. so, i have comfort in knowing that he's not suffering anymore. >> reporter: the funeral plans now being finalized after a private service for immediate family thursday, there will be a public memorial friday starting with a procession down muhammad ali boulevard to the cemetery where he'll be laid to rest. then this arena will host thousands for an interfaith service. this plan laid out three years ago by ali himself. >> he was the people's champ. and so he wanted that memorial service to reflect that. >> reporter: also reflecting on his life, long time friends former president bill clinton and comedian billy crystal among those delivering eulogies saying a final goodbye to an icon whose legacy reaches far beyond the boxing ring. >> our job now as a city is to send him off with the class

in brookhaven a crash along brookhaven road at creek side drive. also still have the one in new hanover by the swamp pike pub along swamp pike at faust road. this is 295 in burlington county. still a sluggish pace on the southbound side from past 195 down to 206 but the vehicle fire there is long gone. we've just been trying to recover for almost the last hour now. on northbound 295 coming out of salem county into gloucester county there's still some downed wires blocking the right lane at auburn. speeds there are just in the low 30's. on the mass transit front delays of up to 10 minutes on the market frankford line because of some mechanical issues and yesterday new shuttle busing started on septa's route 10 and route 15 trolleys. that busing situation lasting for several months so we're getting used to that today. also getting word of a crash along the route 11 trolley route that's impacting the service and causing some delays. and njt's ac rail line is shuttle butsing again this week between philadelphia and cherry hill.

>> the mother of the three-year-old boy who was able to get into a gorilla enclosure at the cincinnati zoo will not be charged. last month the child apparently got away from his mom and climbed over the outer barrier then fell 15 feet into a shallow moat. a special response team shot and killed the 17-year-old gorilla to protect the boy. witnesses told investigators the child's mother was temporarily distracted by other children when the little boy fell. >> and if anyone doesn't believe a three-year-old can scamper off very quickly, they've never had kids. ali. >> reporter: hey guys this is part of the vice president's moonshot mission to help speed up research and find more cures for cancer. now, while many cancer centers have similar systems in place, critics say they're too limited and it takes too long to access information. the white house says the new public database will be easier to use. it starts with information from 12,000 patients. the program is designed to share details about the genetic makeup of different tumors and how they respond to different treatments. well, can a graphic picture spark someone to quit smoking? a four week study of more than 2,000 smokers shows 40 percent who got a picture warning on the cigarette pack attempted to quit compared to 34 with just a text ago warning. the study wasn't long enough to see if people actually can kicked the habit. but researchers say this is one low cost way to make a difference. still when the fda tried to enforce this a few years ago, cigarette makers sued to stop

woodland. this is a live pick can cherry from chopper6. investigators say a suspect led them on a brief foot chase after he crashed into a septa trolley and into a nearby lumberyard. no word if any passengers were injured. police don't know why that driver ran off when they arrived but they were able to catch him a short distance away. >> in other news speaking in center city today, federal reserve chair janet yellen gave a mixed view of the economy but said improvements in unemployment are impressive. >> in particular the job market is strengthened substantially and i believe we're now close to eliminating the slack that's weighed on the labor market since the recession. >> yellen also said today it's unclear when the feds should raise interest rates. she had previously said the increase would come in the next few months. yellen's speech comes one week before the fed's next meeting in students teachers and school district officials in camden gathered today to hopefully make what they say is a much needed change.

comfortable, a much drier air mass than yesterday. satellite6 along with action radar showing starting the day with lots of sunshine. we've got some of those fair weather cumulus beginning to pop up but if you look over southern delaware you can see some very thick clouds trying to stream from the north and this is from tropical storm colin. this is the latest infrared satellite and you can see that this is a really lopsided storm. all of the convection, all the thunderstorms are east of the center. so, it's not a very strong system, maximum sustained winds 50 miles per hour but it is on the verge of making landfall near big bend florida and it's moving very quickly north-northeast at 23 miles per hour. the big problem with colin across florida, georgia and parts of the carolinas will be the potential for some very heavy rain. three to 5-inches of rain, up to 8-inches in some localities but you can see with the track how this is not going to be affecting our weather. we'll have a cold front move through tomorrow afternoon and that will essentially kick

fill the tables and kitchen cabinets of hungry families. >> ♪ >> now the details. 2016 race for the white house will reach a critical threshold tomorrow. six states including new jersey and delegate rich california will hold contests. >> republican donald trump has already earned enough delegates to clinch his party's nomination. democrat hillary clinton will likely do the same tomorrow. >> so here's the break down. democrats in california montana new jersey new mess company and north and south dakota will vote tomorrow. 806 total delegates are up for grabs and republicans will vote in california, montana, new jersey, new mexico and south dakota. 303 delegates are up for grabs there. >> here is where the delegate count stands right now. as we said republican donald trump already has passed the so-called magic number to lock in his party's nomination. on the democratic side hillary clinton currently has 2,360 delegates. that's just 23 delegates short of the 200083 she needs for

download for your mobile device. philadelphia city council may give the go-ahead to the police department to issue swift justice for nuisance crimes during the democratic national convention next month. the legislation will allow officers to land out 100-dollar civil fines instead of making arrests for minor infractions. they include disorderly conduct, blocking a street or failing to heed a request to disburse. police officials say they don't want a repeat of the republican national convention in 2,000 when more than 400 protestors were arrested and nearly all of them later acquited. >> residents on part of florida's gulf coast are preparing for tropical storm colin as it churns toward that state. they are filling sand bags to secure their homes the best they can. the storm could bring serious flooding. some schools closed early today and graduation ceremonies were postponed. florida's governor rick scott has already declared a state of emergency. >> don't go out, don't drive through standing water. don't go outside if you don't need to go outside. don't get out of your house.

have water, have food, have radios that you can listen to the national weather service. >> governor scott says he has notified the national guard and the state has the potential to activate 6,000 national guard members if needed. world news tonight with david muir will have much more on the approaching tropical storm colin as well as a preview of the primaries tomorrow. you can watch that following "action news at 6:00. >> philadelphia police say a man was fast asleep when someone broke into his home and assaulted him. this was there scene along the 3900 block of roosevelt boulevard around 4:00 a.m. the victim told police the person walked up to him and hit him with a gun. the suspect then ran away without taking anything. the homeowner was taken to the hospital for treatment. still not clear why he was allegedly targeted. from our delaware news room tonight, wilmington police took a suspected bank robber into custody after the man allegedly targeted the artisan's bank on kirkwood highway. authorities tell "action news" that workers at the pnc bank across the street saw the

robbery unfold and called 911. as you can see the man was taken into custody a short time later right there. detectives have not released the suspect's name or what charges he will be facing. authorities in bucks county have identified the suspected robber who was shot and can killed while allegedly trying to rob a levittown pharmacy on friday. he was 33-year-old willie bozarth of sewell new jersey. he was kill when the own are of pennsbury pharmacy opened fire to protect himself. the owner saw the man coming because of his store's surveillance cameras. his alleged accomplice kim goldsboro was arrested at the scene. a a truck traveling along corner catch road near carrington drive at 10:00 this morning when it got too close to the shoulder and overturned. you can see there it got tangled in the power lines. the 69-year-old driver was rushed to the hospital to be checked out. it took about four hours for delmar have crews to restore power.

philadelphia police want to know if you recognize this man in surveillance video. they say he stole a city vehicle from a municipal parking lot along whitaker avenue in jun juniata park. turns out the employee who drove that car was in the building when it was stolen. and a would be robber looking to make a quick buck at a south philadelphia dunkin' donuts was thwarted by the cash register. surveillance video from inside the store here along the 800 block of broad street, the employee reportedly told the suspect she couldn't open the register. he implied that he had a gun. the man then reached over himself and tried to open it but he couldn't, either. he ran out empty handed. >> pennsylvania senator bob casey said there are too many people living in our state and across the country that are hungry. he spoke at the nonprofit grocery store fair and square here in chester today. it's operated through philadbundance. senator casey called on can congress to do more to support young children and families in need including stopping the

philadelphia 85. trenton 84. 84 in wilmington and reading. allentown 83. millville 83. and the cool spot, cape may, 74 degrees with that wind off the water were. so tonight partly cloudy, pretty comfortable night again with that low humidity, 61 degrees in the suburbs, 68 degrees for center city. satellite6 along with action radar showing we have a little bit of squeeze play going on with clouds. some of those fair weather cumulus clouds moving in from the west and then you can see this veil of thicker clouds moving up from the south. that cloud cover is all associated with tropical storm colin. maximum sustained winds 50 miles per hour. you can see how all the convection with the storm, all the thunderstorms are really east of the center so it's not a very powerful tropical storm but it is on the verge of making landfall near big bend florida and then it's going to be skirting across southern georgia through the carolinas and then tomorrow it gets kicked out to sea by a cold front. this cold front will move through here late in the afternoon.

could bring us a spotty thunderstorm or two. i don't expect anything widespread. ahead of that front another warm day. 85 degrees. but behind that front, we get that wind tunnel effect so it's going to be a windy day with wind gusts up to about 30 miles per hour. it's going to be a cool day as well with a high of only 70. that's 10 degrees below normal and with this troth, this little piece of energy in the atmosphere we could get some pop-up showers in the afternoon. wednesday you may want a jacket or a sweater and an umbrella but thursday and friday looking really nice and at this point the weekend is looking pretty nice as well. the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast, you like it warm, you've got it again tomorrow. 85 degrees. a good amount of sunshine. late in the day with that cold front could have a couple spotty thunderstorms. nothing widespread. lined this system on wednesday, though, temperatures drop dramatically. the high only 70. lehigh valley, you're going to be stuck in the 60's. it will be windy and then in the afternoon some scattered showers. but we clear out those showers on thursday.
