rick carlisle, presenting with sloan and the son of casey jones, who wasn't able to travel with health issues. >> jeff: sloan coached the jazz for 32 years. there's a lot of records that may never be broken in sports. i think there's no doubt. it's a miracle when coaches coach 23 straight months as a team. to get to 23 years, that may never be broken. unless pop does it. >> mike: and the stokes award was also given out. it doesn't receive as much recognition, but it's just as meaningful. an award named after two hall of famers, teammates for the royals back in the late '50s.

we don't have time to get into the full story, as we wind down the game. but if you have a chance to look into it, it's an unbelievable story. twiman, taking care of stokes after he had brain damage, and then became his legal guardian. meanwhile, the cleveland cavaliers should be awarded for their magnificent performance tonight. williams, a three. a 31-point lead by the cavaliers. barbosa, fouled. cavaliers threw ahaymaker in the first quarter, and the warriors never able to recover. curry, 19 points.

klay thompson, hurt himself in the first half, with a thigh contusion. returned. now, it will be golden state's turn to respond, after a beating. ball tipped out. clark can't hit. and many of this sell-out crowd in quicken loans arena, on their feet, cheering on their cavaliers. what a return home for cleveland. another dominant victory at home. williams gets inside, finds mozgov. and can't quite hold on. they'll improve to 8-0 at home in the playoffs.

the winds came through here at 60 miles per hour and did a lot of damage. this is what happened to the wilson building at camden community college. fortunately, nobody was hurt when an overhang was lifted up in an apartment building in atlantic city. i do and then there was this -- a tree crashing into a swimming pool. the big story tonight is the calm after the storm, but only after destructive winds passed through the tri-state area today. light and a tree fell on my car. >> and a car demolished by a large tree with people trapped inside. again, remarkably no one seriously injured. mother nature showed her temper today, but in incident after incident no one was injured, it is the spirit above that showed grace. dann cuellar channel 6 "action news." and power lines sparked a car fire, and capturing this video of the car in flames. and the driver got out safely. crews had to wait for the power company to shut off a line before putting out the blaze. and you can see the car was a burned-out shell when it was all over. a toppled tree caused power outages in the area of new albany road in cinnaminson tonight. a representative with the cinnaminson baptist church says they can be without electricity for a couple of days. many of our viewers helped us

yesterday. the showers and thunderstorms developing across our far northwest suburbs around 10:00, and then racing to the east quickly crossing the i-95 corridor and moving off the coast by 1:00. a quick hit, but it did cause tremendous damage. this is stormtracker and you see the exclamation points it is storm reports. we had about three dozen reports of storm damage with the sis telling. the good news that is now history. and really now the big story is the cold air behind the system. cold for this time of year. looking at temperatures dropping down into the 40s and the far northwest suburbs feeling almost like fall. i am tracking the chance of a stormy and afternoon evening and i will let you know when in the full accuweather seven-day forecast. >> thank you. at least one person suffered critical injuries tonight in a three-vehicle crash in mercer

county on nottingham way in hamilton township. a pick up truck broad sided the minivan, and the van was then pushed into the car. a car and van collided just after 7:00 tonight in bucks county. a passenger in one of the vehicles was knocked unconscious. the crash on keystone drive and east old state road. fortunately, we have no word of the condition of that passenger tonight. the city of philadelphia moved closer tonight to imposing a soda tax. and they are making significant changes to mayor kenney's plan. and christie ileto with that story. >> very much a win. it's not the whole anything as the mayor proposed, but it is still a lot of money. >> the hotly-contested fax completed three hurdles but not without changes. now instead of 3 cents it is 1.5
