trish hartman is at the folcroft delaware county police department with the latest on this one, trish this had a whole lot of people talking, what have you learned? >> reporter: that's right, gray, folcroft police after the shoutout where kenny chesney said christopher dorman passed away, he wanted to make it right calling christopher dorman in the hospital offering him drinks and take him out for football game. >> we knew as a police department he didn't do it on purpose. he was misinformed it was a mistake, he made good on it. >> reporter: after a social media push and video request from officer doormans from his hospital bed kenny chesney said this at the linc last night.

he passed away, before he passed away, he said kenny, please don't forget me. >> reporter: the country superstar mistakenly said the officer passed away. still the recognition brought cheers for doorman who survived being shot seven times in the line of duty friday after one year with the force. the huge chesney fan was supposed to be at the concert along with fell officers. chesney called the officer and released a same statement and he found out about officer christopher dorman right before he took the stage and the story stopped him in his tracks. part of his statement reads quote i was so caught up in the moment, i think the emotion got the best of me. i wasn't as clear as i could have been. officer christopher dorman is in

friend and other witnesses. a surveillance camera captured the image of the suspect's vehicle, a black suv with a new york plate. witnesses say it was speeding. after learning of the tragedy, ben simmons tweeted -- in philadelphia, police are looking for the person who shot a man in the back while he feels sitting in a car. the action cam was at the scene, soth and diamond in north philadelphia, where the road was littered with shell casings. the victim was shot at 3:30 a.m. he was able to drive investigating an nearby. they took the injured man to temple university hospital. no word ons -- on his condition. we're following developing news out of west virginia. people are recovering from the worst flooding they have ever seen. >> there are two dozen deaths
