maximum number of people. authorities say they are not surprised that isis is quiet since the attack and there is a number of deadly terrorist attacks in turkey that bears the markings of isis and no claims of responsibility by that group. world news with david muir has the latest from turkey tonight that is at 6:30 right after "action news." the search continues tonight for the person who stabbed a cab driver in camden overnight. the cab driver is recuperating at cooper hospital. >> reporter: this surveillance video shows the suspect in last night's stabbing of a camden cab driver squeezing himself out of the window and running away. >> he crashed his car on purpose to cause a scene, so people could like -- you know just draw

attention. so they could help. >> we spoke with brandon ramos outside of cooper hospital where his girlfriend's father is recovering. he relayed what he told him. he picked up the young man at around midnight and asked to be taken to state and north front street. and when they arrived he asked for change of a $50 bill. he look in the rear view mirror and said what the hell are you looking at and red flag. >> he began to attack the stab driver, stabbed the cab driver several times in the upper shoulder. >> and tried to block him and hold the knife in his hand. >> at that point he purposely crashed the cab into the parked car and the suspect fled. the woman that owns the parked car and she came out and drove him to the hospital. >> the night before a different camden cab driver and punched multiple times. >> we would like to see the

employers outfit the vehicles with a video camera, it works as a deterrance in many communities. >> the suspect failed to get away in any money from the cab drivers, if you can identify the man camden county police want to hear from you. i'm sara bloomquist, channel 6 "action news." warminster police have made an arrest for a series of tire slashing, collin jones was in jail for a separate incident. the 1-year-old from southhampton is charged with criminal mischief and criminal trespass and disorderly conduct. tires were slashed on 20 vehicles and damages were estimated at $37,000. police arrested jones earlier this week after stabbing a juvenile in the arm, charges in that case are spending. officials believe that a water main break may be to bram for this hole that opened up on

a street in berks county. emergency crews were called to the 300 block of abington drive in wyomissing. seven homes were some businesses are currently without water service. school may be out for the summer but is the philadelphia school district is hard at work filling teacher vacancies, this morning at roxborough high school, superintendant, william hite delivered the exlen news on the hiring front that they reached 99% of their hiring goal. their on pace to have a teacher in every classroom this fall including district graduates eager to get to work in their neighborhoods. >> i am so excited about becoming a philadelphia school district teacher and honored to teach exactly where i attended school, that is a good thing to have a teacher that sat in the same seats they will be sitting

a deal to raise the gas tax and reduce sales tax from 7 cents to 6 cents. we need to give them relief through another venue. i believe that the sales tax is the very best way to do that. >> the money raised by hiking gas tax will fund roads and bridges and transit in new jersey. it's estimated to run out of cash by early august. >> they will see a $100 increase per driver and $400 plus savings in the sales tax cut, per family. that is why it called tax fairness. >> many are opposed to saying that cutting the saled tax will eliminate $1 billion from state

the philadelphia city trash collection crew was hospitalized after their truck overturned this morning in juniata park. chopper 6 hd was over the scene at 9:30, police say that the truck flipped while swerving to avoid a crash at hunting park avenue and l street. the truck hit a pole and mailbox and fence. one person is in serious condition. new at 6:00 tonight. friday marks the 100 anniversary of what they call the beginning of 12 days of terror. it was like the movie jaws but this was real life and it happened at the jersey shore. new jersey correspondent, nora muchanic, has the story. >> it was 100 years ago that the

jersey shore was in a panic when a shark killed two people. it happened in beach haven. 25-year-old charles van zandt of philadelphia was swimming with his dog when he was attacked. >> i managed to get hill out of water and they carried him back to the reception desk where unfortunately he bled out. five days later charles breweder was killed in the water off spring lake and then in the water at mattwant terror struck again. he was searching for the boy's remains, stanley fisher was mauled by a shark and died and another boy was attacked but survived. >> four fatalities and five attacks in a 12 day period created such an atmosphere of

hundreds of miles east of atlantic city and cape may and swings its way down into the carolinas, it remains there tomorrow and tomorrow night it pivots its way back to the north and introduces the humidity once again and the chance for scattered storms. for tonight a lot of stars and comfortable 50s in the northwestern suburbs, 66 degrees for center city and weak high pressure remains in control for tomorrow and still gorgeous and comfortable low humidity on the warm side. the warm front as far north as virginia and lifted through the day into friday and a cold front approaching on friday afternoon so between the two we get pop-ups in the morning and afternoon with that humidity of 86 degrees and high pressure behind this will kick everything off the coast in time for the holiday weekend. down the shore tomorrow, sunny
