>> it was a mess dwr morning in rawnhurst after a water main ruptured in the overnight hours creating a muddy creek developing in the neighborhood. it happened on arthur street. neighbors were left without water service for a while. crews spent the day making repairs. police in philadelphia are investigating an overnight homicide in port richmond where the victim was found lying between two parked cars. at 5:00 a.m. officers were called to the intersection of jasper and east bear street.

they arrived to find the unidentified man lying on the street. he was pronounced at the scene. no arrests have been made. north hampton county a burglar's hand was severed after the victim fought back. two men broke into the basement of a home on the 1300 block of canal street in north hampton borough. moments later they attack the the man who lived there. that's when the victim grabbed a machete slashing toward the intruders serverring his hand. the person who lived at the home was not injured but posted a sign showing two hands on the door with beware written out. new york city police are trying to figure out who put a homemade explosive in central park today that detonated leaving a teenager with severe leg injuries. the victim an 18-year-old from virginia was walk winning friends when he stepped on something and it blew up. they reported the explosive

appears to be homemade fireworks and was there for more than a day. they say there is no evidence this is terror related and say the teen and his friends had nothing to do with it. >> it first thing i asked his friends i said come on guys, what did you have? they said he stepped on something. it was it was an explosive of some sort. the teen faces a possible amputation, he is in serious, but stable condition. we'll have the latest on the investigation coming up at 6:30 after "action news." >> unique nautical artwork is on display at museum at penns landing. it recognizes the ship's history. members. several ame churches across the city took part in a run in honor

one of philadelphia's great traditions, the independence day regatta wrapped up on the schuylkill it was originally called the people's regatta. more than 1,000 boats from 82 clubs competed. >> time for a check of the exclusive accuwether seven-day forecast. yesterday was perfect, today was good. >> reporter: a good second place as far as holiday weekend is concerned. >> reporter: lots of clouds moving in tonight we're tracking showers as we get into the 4th of july. >> that's third place. >> reporter: thank you walter. let's show you what's going on outside, here's storm tracker 6 live double scan radar. you notice light showers are already in south jersey and cape may and to the south of dover, we're tracking a frontal boundary an area of low pressure that would be moving on in as we go throughout the day on monday. with that said there could showers that could have an

impact on fireworks displace scheduled across the delaware and lehigh valleys tomorrow night. we'll talk about that. in the near term we'll show you the picture outside. the action cam was outside earlier today there in fairmont park. you can see the schuylkill river and boathouse row. we had a fairly cloudy sky across the region, we have breaks in the clouds, overall, the clouds prevail as we as we o the nighttime hours and tomorrow. the record 104 set back in 1966. at this hour, 76 in philadelphia. same thing in reading. same thing in the lehigh valley in the poconos, 73. at the coast, temperatures in the lower 70s and 72 in dover where you're dealing with showers. satellite and radar you can see the thick cloudy cover starting to build across the mid atlantic region. we had showers earlier across the areas of south jersey and

delaware, so certainly probably it was the best of these days. we're tracking moisture over the ohio screal and the mississippi -- valley, and the mississippi valley, as well. this will move southeast to northeast direction on monday partly cloudy, comfortable in the city. 60 in the suburbs for the overnight low. 66 degrees in philadelphia. so here is future tracker 6 as we go throughout the morning hours on monday 4th of july, lots of clouds around for philadelphia and points south and east. you can see the showers in dover at that time. even as we go throughout the rest of the afternoon hours, i would allow for showers across the region scattered about the region. as we go throughout rest of the night into monday night, i should say, 11:00 p.m., you notice the showers across south jersey which could heavy at times. there will be a period overnight monday into tuesday where we track a wave of energy moving on
