christie let the owe for channel six "action news". christie, thank you. now to a developing story out of camden county. investigators are looking in the rash of weekend fires that injured seven fire fighters. in fact, there have been 13 buyers over the last two days, including this one in the 800 block of pine street. this is viewer video. most of the fires have been at vacant homes just a short time ago. we have learned that an arson task force has been activated. some fires broke out while crews were on the scene of the different fire. they had to call in peck zahn even and bellmawr to help out. investigators are asking for your help. >> we don't know how these fires have started at this point but it looks like suspicious activity. people avoiding eye contact. walking through allies. and we think that most times, they are entering from the rear of the vacant property. >> the fires were started in broad daylight. if you know anything you are asked to call (856)757-7042. we have put that number on our

web site. a third watercraft accident has been reported at the new jersey shore over the past 24 hours. today coastguard air lifted three people after their jet skis struck a navigational aid and back bay area. good samaritan spotted the crash and called 911. responding crew rescued a man and two children. the man suffered leg lacerations and the children were in shock. that is after a boat ran a ground earlier today, and after a father a and son were killed yesterday during a jet ski crash in somers point. today was a bit overcast at the shore but still it was a fourth of july weekend. a few clouds did not stop visitors from enjoying the day. a warning is tape to the door of the home after police say somebody broke in the place in northampton county. the burglar left with his hand severed after the victim for the back. police say right around midnight two men broke in the basement of the house on the 1300 block of canal street this northampton boro. they attacked the man sleeping there. victim was injured but managed to grab a machete and slashed one of the intruders severing his hand. burglars fled but the injured suspect was dropped off later at a local hospital and flown to philadelphia for treatment. police tracked down and

arrested the second suspect. investigators in new york city believe a homemade fire work caused the blast in central park that seriously injured a young man who stepped on it. the 19 year-old from virginia was walking with friends, when they heard a loud boom. officials say the injured man is undergoing surgery on his left foot at a hospital. the bomb squad rushed to the park and scoured the area. >> those that could have been a experiment with fire works or homemade explosives. we do not have any evidence of a construct device or commercial grade fire works. >> authorities don't believe that the experimental device was meant to cause harm but they are still investigating. the victim is in stable condition. officialness iraq say a car bomb in september rally with baghdad has killed at least 120 people. the islamic state has claimed responsibility for 29 bombings that happened hours apart. bombs targeted family and young people at restaurant and shopping malls. the white house condemned the attacks saying u.s. will

one of the philadelphia's great traditions the independent day regatta wrapped up on the schuylkill river. rowers from across the world were in town to take part in the races. originally called the peoples regatta. this year more than a thousand boats from 82 clubs competed. time for a check of the accu weather forecast with meteorologist melissa magee. fourth of july shaping up to be dicey. >> it is cloudy throughout the first half of the day tomorrow and then we're tracking showers. we need to find tune where there could be possibly a postponement because of the rain that moves in later tomorrow night, guys. we will show you what is going on with storm tracker six live double scan radar, it is dry right now, no issues with precipitation. outside sky six live in hd still really nice outside, and penns landing. we are looking at delaware river and spruce street harbor park and we have partly cloudy skies, turning cloudy throughout the rest of the day

on monday and then we're tracking some showers, working its way in to some steady rain. high in philadelphia certainly wasn't bad at 78. normal for this time of the year is 86. below average but nice and comfortable with dew points fairly low. sixty-seven in allentown. seventy-one in the city. sixty-six in cape may. in lancaster 67. poconos coming in at 65. here's satellite six with action radar these cloud starting to build across mid-atlantic region. what we are tracking is essentially a frontal boundary across the ohio valley and then extending down to the south and west. a few ripples of energy along this front as well. moisture will move from the southwest to north east direction as we go throughout the day on monday. future tracker six showing 8:00 in the morning brighter skies to the north of the city and to the south of philadelphia, right through south jersey and delaware looks to be a mostly cloudy sky with that southeasterly win. at 6:00 in the evening we have those showers overhead that will be a approaching, they
