given the chance to leave by the militants. instead, he chose to stay with his friends. they were all killed. jennifer ekl ston, abc news. >> and an attempted terror attack in saudi arabia that may been aim at the u.s. a car bomb detonated in the second largest city. two security guards were injured. the suicide bomber was the only reported fatality. an explosion in new york left one man severely injured. there's no evidence suggesting the blast was terror related. the 18-year-old from northern v.a. was walking with friends when he stepped on something and it blew up. police believe the device was homemade fireworks. >> hillary clinton is campaigning this week with the president and vice president. days after being interviewed about her private e-mail server. she described the tone of the

interview on saturday as civil and business like. the fbi is nearing the end of the investigation into whether clinton mishandled classified information on her server. after the meeting between bill clinton and loretta lynch sparked outrage, lynch said she would accept whatever decision was made regarding the e-mail. donald trump has tweeted about the meeting between lynch and president clinton saying only a fool would believe that it was not arranged. but it was another message from trump that triggered another uproar on social media. he posted this ain't hillary clinton message showing an image resembling the star of david. after people criticized it, the tweet was deleted from trump's account and reposted with a circle instead of a star. a ship from turkey carrying more than 10,000 tons of

humanitarian aid arrived at an israeli port sunday. they're delivering food, toys, clothing items before a major holiday. a six year political break ended last week when the countries agreed to normalize ties. and here in new york, eli e wiesel was mourned as one of the last firsthand witnesses to the holocaust. he died saturday at age 87. >> tennis fans might have thought serena williams last performance at wimbledon, just another typical sunday, but her victory was one for the history books. williams now has 300 wins. that moves her past chris evert to second all time. williams is six times behind the
