bloomquist is off, in the news a young woman involved in an attack on a gay couple in center city is getting out of prison today. and a south philadelphia deli is destroyed by fire for the second time. and the big news is what is happening on the campaign trail. one time rivals are joining forces in new hampshire. bernie sanders finally endorsed hillary clinton as their party's nominee. abc's stephanie ramos is following the developments and joins us live in washington. >> rick, you got it after more than a year after policy clashes, bernie sanders finally endorsed hillary clinton. bernie sanders and hillary clinton are finally teaming up. the two former rivals hoping to unite the democratic party after weeks of back and form negotiations between the sanders and clinton campaign, sanders

gunned down last week. the president and first lady took off on air force one and the president is expected to address an inter faith service and trying to offer a measure of comfort to eye see stunned by the ambush attack. we'll have a live report coming from dallas our next half hour. a young woman convicted for her involvement in an attack on a gay couple in center city is getting out of prison. katherine knot is being let out of prison after five months. two co-defendants accepted plea deals and were sentenced to community service and probation. and a scare by counter terrorism officials in center city last night. a man and woman were caught with smoke bombs and cameras on the rooftop of the bellevue building. mccormick joins us live with more on the two people taken into custody. >> reporter: rick, that man and woman were detained here at central detectives and questioned by the counter terrorism unit and have since been released late this morning. and only the man was charged with criminal mischief and trespassing and that he was a photographer and only trying to take pictures. chopper 6 hd hd over the bellevue after police responded to a 911 that came in at 7:00 p.m. >> police received a 911 from a couple of people in another build that saw two people acting suspiciously on the rooftop. philadelphia police responded with a counter terrorism unit and several agencies. on the same rooftop police found camera equipment and several items that seemed to be suspicious like a smoke bomb and

landing and high winds and things on the sticky side and tomorrow things really start to heat up again. lets check in with david murphy with a preview of the accuweather forecast. >> for those of you that like summer weather it's a good day, and more humid than yesterday. and those that have a tendency to react to that, satellite shows you a lack of significant cloud cover and fair weather cumulous around and not much of a breeze and warm conditions in the region, 82 degrees at the lunch time hour and 80 in trenton and 81 in wilmington, at the shore relief at cape may and 79, there it is muggy and definitely warming up the rest of the way. dew points are different than yesterday. we were in the 50s yesterday and anything below 60 is not considered humid. as you glance down to the south there are 70s in cape may and dover, and that is when we talk about oppressive humidity. allentown you were in the 50s

and now 56 as we expected the humid air is pausching to the south. if you head to the playground. cool drinks and sunscreen. 84 is your high this afternoon and that high of 88 is one degree above average, it could be worse the record is 97 we are nowhere near that really. but it feels worse because of the building humidity. speaking of which it will be more humid tomorrow and thursday back into one of those shots of oppressive humidity and that could last a couple of days. i'll have details on that coming up in the exclusive accuweather forecast. shades if you are out here for more than a couple of minutes and sunscreen and cool drinks. >> thank you david. six people including four children are out of their homes in german town after a fast moving fire. caused the house to collapse. chopper 6 hd was over the scene on the 4600 block of german town avenue.

you can see a pile of debris under the roof. the fair started in one home and spread to the other and then the home simply collapsed. license and inspections will tear down the remnants of those homes today. from our knowledge newsroom a popular restaurant is destroyed in a fire for the second time in recent years, the flames tore through the short hills deli. back in 2008 the same business was destroyed after a carelessly discarded cigarette caused a fire. police have not yet released the name of the 15-year-old killed in a triple shooting last night in southwest philadelphia. two other boys ages 14 and 16 were injured on the 1600 block of baltimore avenue last evening. teenagers were shot after leaving a basketball tournament, the 15-year-old was hit in the

face and died at the hospital and they believe the shooting may have stemmed from a fight that happened on the court last week. authorities need your help finding this man who police say impersonated a gas works employee to steal from a 96-year-old woman. it happened in the east mt. airy section. she refused to let the suspect in but he pushed her door open when she went to get her mail they advised her to call police and the woman's diamond ring is missing ever since. pennsylvania lawmakers are scrambling to come up with the finances to fund the 31 billion dollars budget that went into affect at midnight. it went into law without governor wolf signing it. they say they are working to

produce a 1$1.3 billion revenue package to pay for the budge and be approved by governor wolf. the state cannot work on an unbalanced budget and avoid a credit downgrade. and a collision by to trains that should not have been on the track to begin with. and multiple tornados strike the midwest we have more on the damage.

holy cow. >> this video was captured in minnesota yesterday when at least two tornadoes hit. nobody was injured but up to 20 homes were damaged. they reported 11 inches of rain falling in the matter of hours. new information about the deadly courthouse shooting in michigan, the sheriff says the inmate was handcuffed when he wrestled a gun from a deputy.

suspect, larry gordon, was being escorted from the courtroom to a holding cell. gordon watt was shot to the death after the struggle. at least 12 people dies when two trains collided head-on in literally today. rescuers are trying to reach victim that may be trapped in the wreckage. at least two passengers were pulled out alive and the trains were operated by a private company that served local students and local commuters. a day after his visit to iraq, defense secretary, ash carter, moved to afghanistan today. he arrived at the air base at kabul, and talked about training the afghan troops. they announced that 8500 troops would stay in afghanistan past the end of this year. in washington now attorney

1/2 of 1%. we have people on the beach in cape may and it's looking nice. today is the day to get relief on the beaches, it's not as warm there as it is here. 82 in philadelphia and dew point up to 65. we were in the 60s yesterday and it was comfortable now stickier but not full-fledged soup weather. we look at temperatures, warming up in allentown, 83 in read and 80 in trenton and 1-in wilmington and 81 in millville and 79 in cape may, new jersey at this hour. cloud cover to the north is rying to dish through and it kind of evaporates and some fair weather cumulous and high weather cirrus, but today will maintain a bright look and bright feel. sun and occasional clouds and a

high of 88 degrees it will be cool drink weather in the lehigh valley region, the shore better upper 70s in places like surf city and beach haven. probably 80 in ocean city and atlantic city. the ocean temperature jumped up to 74 degrees, down in rehoboth 81 and 74 in the ocean water there. the uv index is running high today and make sure you use the sunscreen at the beach and elsewhere. sun mixing with clouds in philadelphia. 88 is the warm high and winds from the south at 5 to 10 miles per hour. for the evening commute, still muggy and warm, and maybe it's windows up and the a.c. on. 88 is your high and 84 by 6:00 and by 7:00 still hold on to the low 80s. overnight tonight, getting more muggy, 70 is the overnight low. tomorrow a change. high pressure is off the coast and continuing to dish the southerly flow into the region and ta makes us more humid.

tomorrow we start to feel oppressive at times, the high is only 87 and we are not thinking a heat warning or anything. it's not hot enough for it. it's still pretty sticky. there is a chance of a thunderstorm at times. this new model run is changing thicks for us. most of the action is late in the day, by noon, it also wants to put stuff in philadelphia. i'll show you what is coming in later at 5:00, scattered downpours here and there, this latest model run pushes this past philadelphia where most of the model run keep its out to the west. whether or not it's grasping on to something accurate, i can't say. 88 and a bit more humid today and stickier tomorrow with the thunderstorm chance, it feels like 100 on thursday with a high of 92, that is oppressive heat
