15-year-old boy dead over a buzzer beater basketball game that took place last week. this is where it all started. this took place in the baltimore recreation area park. here is what we know so far. barnes and his two friends ables 14 and 16 were walking home from a game of basketball at 10:00 when shots rang out a brock from here at 51st and baltimore. one was hit in the arm and the other in the leg. barnes was shot in the face. today new details are surfacing. captain james clark says the shooter was lying in wait and exchanged words and fired at least ten times, listen to what the 14-year-old victim told us. >> i started running, i seen the first shot. he got hit and died right in front of me and just fell, and i said who is that?

a 96-year-old woman was the target a home invasion in east mown irish, and now police want your help to find the man responsible. they have surveillance video of the crime. take a look at the video, a man knocks on the door and pretended to be a philadelphia gas works employee, and when the woman refuses to let her in the man forces his way inside. he when to the bathroom and took a diamond ring from her jewelry box and ran off. police want anyone that recognizes the suspect to give them a call. and now police say that an

inmate that shot and killed two bailiffs was handcuffed. he wrestled away the weapon and shot and killed two officers. his family believe he was trying to escape. at least 20 people are dead after two trains hit head-on. they hit head-on in an olive grove on a line that has one track. rescue workers pulled several survivors from the wreckage including a small child. crews are now working to untangle the wreckage to see if anyone else is trapped. if you drive a small suv, there is a new warning out about your headlights. you'll want to hear this. the insurance institute for highway safety tested 21 suvs and not one of them rated good.

temperatures are seasonably warm not that oppressive. 86 in philadelphia and 87 is the normal high for this time of year. allentown and reading 87 and wilmington 83 and notice the winds off the ocean along the beach, you get the sea breeze, cape may point 79 and beach haven 78 degrees, dew points inland are higher than yesterday. yesterday we had dew points in the upper 50s and mid-50s. and generally low to mid-60s, along the coast they are higher with the ocean and bay influence, dew points in the 60s and low 70s but those dew points increase tonight especially once the sunsets and the muggy air mass is moving in. satellite 6 along with action radar showing nothing more than a few fair weather clouds, if you look across west virginia and virginia, you can see showers and thunderstorms bubbling up and they are moving into parts of our region tomorrow. tonight partly cloudy skies and it's going to get very sticky.

from our delaware newsroom, one man is dead after being hit by a car on kirkwood highway. police say that the pan was hit on the intersection of that highway and limestone road. medics rushed him to the hospital where he die aid short time later. they say that the driver that hit him stayed on the scene and so far there are no charges in this case. two families were able to get out of their homes in german town minutes before the buildings collapsed. they were noticing problems for months with the twin homes, on the 4600 block of german town avenue, this morning they called in firefighters, at they talked to crews the homes collapsed right before their eyes. fortunately nobody was hurt and walter perez talked to the homeowners and he'll have a live report at 5:00. today police officers took extra steps to spend time with

center strip mall where the popular restaurant and other businesses are closed today after being damaged by the fire. they describe this deli as i landmark, one of only two jewish delis in the area known for giant sandwiches and friendly service. they spend the day cleaning up the shore hills deli. a popular restaurant damaged in a fire. it took fire crews 45 minutes to control the blaze and no injuries were reported but the fire damaged the deli along with two adjoining businesses and an insurance company on the sec floor. debbie and her daughter run the clothing store love on a hangar that suffered smoke and water damage. >> it came down into all of our clothes and floor and our furniture is all wet and drop ceiling all over the place, and the floors are starting to buckle up. >> the dry-cleaner next door

monica malpass. philadelphia police are on high alert tonight after threats to some of the city's finest and a tense situation already surrounding police nationwide, police are taking every precaution necessary. tuesday night and the big story is the steps that philadelphia police are taking to keep everyone in uniform safe. >> vernon odom has the details from police headquarters tonight. >> reporter: good evening monica and rick, make no mistake about it, it's a tough and intense environment these days for obvious reasons that make philadelphia police riders on the storm and even their own facilities have been threatened. three police districts were made targets for districts.
