police are being extra careful because they too may be targets? >> reporter: absolutely jim, normally police get anonymous threats off the internet all the time all too frequently but this one came from a person that came face-to-face saying there was a threat coming to the philadelphia police and she claimed she knew what she was talking about. since the attack on dallas police last week, philadelphia police sources say there has been an increase in threats directed towards them. overnight detectives had to investigate threats to blow up three districts across town. chinatown and northeast philadelphia and the 35th in olney. the claim was that people wearing burkas would come in wearing bundles that appeared to be infants but were actually suicide bombs. >> we take all the threats

investigating and regular customers a s ars are expressin upset. >> we love it, our boys and i come here often and i'm shocked to see this. sad. >> that is how people are reacting to the overnight fire that forced the closure of the popular short hills deli in cherry hill. >> all the way up at the top you see it three or four stories high. >> firefighters brought the fire under control in less than an hour but the restaurant suffers smoke and water damage. a lot of families will get hurt by this. >> and it's really a shame, hopefully they rebuild quickly to get people back here. >> kim's dry-cleaning store was damaged in the fire as was the clothing store it brought down ceiling tiles and the owner thinks all the merchandise will

we are getting close to another heat wave. >> yes, thursday and friday, a steam bath of tomorrow is humid and temperatured in the 80s, tonight we are rain free and the action cam is showing a good place to be especially for later in the week along the river. the schuylkill river showing some rowers getting set to do some rowing and the 6 abc does balloon flying up and we have fair weather cumulous clouds today and the big story the next few days is the heat. the accuweather highlights show an excessive heat watch posted for thursday and friday and all areas within 25 miles of the

i-95 corridor, these are the areas where the heat index will be around 100, thursday and friday, the air temperature, the mid-90s this is similar to last week at the same time, you factor in the dew points around 70 degrees and the heat index 101 on thursday and pretty close to that on friday, and this will be a tough period of time, for people that don't like the heat and humidity. today though, seasonably warm, 86 degrees currently, the high 88 one degree above normal. dew points in the low 60s and allentown 87 and trenton 82, notice the sea breeze, the ocean temperature 76 degrees, and the air temperature 77 and beach haven also 77. satellite 6 along with action radar showing we still have high pressure right along the eastern seaboard, this is keeping the showers and thunderstorms at bay, but that high pressure will nudge to the east tomorrow. that opens the door for

unsettled weather, rain free and partly cloudy and once the sunsets the human starts to rise and it will be sticky tonight and warm too, 70 in philadelphia and 69 in cape may and 76 in allentown and 69 in wilmington. future tracker 6 showing tomorrow morning a few spotty showers for the morning commute but most activity is holding off until the afternoon hours. mainly west of philadelphia and areas to the southwest and then it looks like it is consolidating more for the evening commute. it's one of those situations i don't think everyone will see the downpours but those that do could get hit pretty hard. showers and thunderstorms we'll have a lot of debris clouds and that will keep temperatures in the upper 80s instead of the 90s, and the main concern is not damaging winds or hail or tornadoes but the potential for some very heavy downpours with the air saturated and we are looking at the potential of 1 to

3 inches of rain quickly and that could cause localized flooding, the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, for tomorrow it's warm and humid with scattered showers and thunderstorms, a high of 87 degrees, and thursday though is when we get into the steam bath, 94 degrees and heat index. 100 to 101 perhaps and thunderstorms in the afternoon and steamy on friday and 95 degrees and saturday the temperatures are off a notch but likely in the 90s, officially making this the third heat wave of the year and could get thunderstorms and sunday now not looking quite as active as yesterday. partly sunny skies with the possibility of thunderstorms 89 degrees and bright and warm on monday 89 and tuesday warm and muggy and 88, i'll have an update on the timing of the storms coming up tomorrow night at 11:00. >> finally 1,000 special care packages are on their way to
