meteorologist, cecily tynan, here with the accuweather forecast for an intense heat period. today is the worst of it, temperatures are in the mid-90s and the dew points in the 70s, tomorrow is hot but not as humid. still hot but not as hot as today. stormtracker 6 live double scan showing we don't have any storms to cool things off, we did have a cluster that moved through northampton county with a tornado warning at 3:00, that is now pressing into new england, we have plenty of heat and plenty of moisture in the air, dew point as long i-95 corridor in areas south and east in the 70s. 70 in philadelphia and a dew point of 78 in cape may, they don't get much higher than that. in this region, that is like a tropical air mass, you'll notice to the north and west, allentown and reading dew points dropped into the 60s, because of comment plex of storms rolling through

with drier air and allentown and reading, the heat index make its feel like 97 and 99 in philadelphia, we hit 101 at 3:00, and feels like 100 in trenton and wilmington 103 and the heat index soared up to 105 in dover, you definitely want to take it easy this afternoon. try to get air conditioning and for those people that have to spend time outdoors, drink lots of water and gatorade, that is key. satellite 6 along with action radar showing this is the system the dew point front that rolled through, behind it, it's not quite as oppressive tomorrow. and tonight it's warm and stuffy and 72 in the suburbs, 77 degrees for center city. and if you look for relief tomorrow, you get it in the form of the lower dew points, not cooler air temperatures, it's still very hot, with a high of 94 degrees and this front, will stall over us on saturday. that will drop the temperatures,

a high around 90 degrees, that will also bring slightly drier air especially to the northwest suburbs, i think that humidity levels will be high down the shore. this is what to expect tomorrow as far as the heat index tracker, it shows that by 10:00 it already feels like 92 degrees, if you want to go outside and get the exercising in do it early in the day and feels like 97 degrees at 4:00 and still feeling like 95 at 6:00. certainly brutally hot tomorrow and again not quite as oppressive as today. if you can't get into the water get on the water, that is what meteorologist, melissa magee has done in sea isle city, you look good there captain. what are you doing? >> reporter: i have man ship of the boat. you know what i mean cecily. it's definitely warm and humid here, but not as oppressive as it is inland, we have the shore forecast for you. on friday a mostly sunny skies
