>> the hottest day so far this year, i had trouble get dogs to go outside. i want to stay in the air conditioning and eat the ice cubes. no rain or storms to cool us off ever being you step outside and the air mass hits you like a brick. right now the air temperature is 94 degrees, 93 in allentown un92 in millville and 92 in wilmington. we have dew points in philadelphia around 70 degrees and it makes you feel like 100, feels like 100 as well as the atlantic city airport and dover feels like 103, the good news is, i think this is the most brutal day we'll have in a while. the bad news is, we are not going to cool off much. just have some slightly drier air moving in. satellite 6 along with action radar showing we are rain free and we had a tornado warning for northampton county for this afternoon. that system pushes over new england and partly cloudy and

sticky and 77 in philadelphia and 72 in allentown and 72 in cape may and wilmington. it heats up quickly tomorrow morning, the heat index tracker showing that by 10:00 it's feeling like 93 degrees, if you want to go out and get exercise, do it early in the day if you can. by 4:00, 97 degrees and feeling like 95 by 6:00, instead of heat index values in the triple digits it feels like the 90s tomorrow. the but the air temperature will be another hot day with a high of 94 degrees and this cold front stalls over us on saturday. what that means is temperatures trim back a little bit to 90 degrees and we have slightly drier air across the northwest suburbs and could get a thunderstorm on saturday night. a great place to be in or near the water, that is what meteorologist, melissa magee

did, she is in sea isle city. is it feeling better melissa >> reporter: you know it feels better because there is a breeze, that is what be feel at the shore. i have mike at the helm, he is steering and eventually i'll take over. i don't know, i don't want to. we have the shore forecast covered for you, mostly sunny and a high temperature of 78 degrees and into saturday it's not bad a mixture of sunshine and clouds and warm with a late day shower or thunderstorm moving in with the front and a high of 85, on sunday a partly sunny skies and ocean temperature at 78, we are having a blasts here down at the shore, we have mike's seafood and fill up ore bellies and now it's time to set off. we were sitting on the dock of the bay and now it's time to go.
