a father and son from texas is among is the dead. lets get the latest now in london. >> reporter: police are scouring the scene in downtown nice, piecing together who was behind this terrifying attack as the president of france declares three days of mourning. bastille day ending in horror, the truck turning into a lethal weapon crashed into hundreds of people there for a fireworks display. >> within split seconds of hearing the gunshots and i started running and the entire place seemed like chaos. >> killing dozens including a texas father and son.

southwesterly wind and same thing in wilmington and 87 in reading and the poconos 78 degrees and in the coast in cape may, upper 80s in trenton. we have dew point numbers in the upper 60s near 70 degrees, it is down right oppressive down across much of the delaware and lehigh valleys. looking like an air temperature in the city of 102. the excessive heat warning is in effect today. is it feels like upper 90s if not 100. future tracker 6 showing you late owner this afternoon. you can check out the heat indexes along the i-95 corridor feeling like the middle to upper 90s in the region and the evening hours on friday at 6:00 p.m., it will still feel like the lower 90s north and west. 82 in the poconos and 95 at the coast as we wrap up this week here. as we talk about what to expect,

beginning later today on "action news," and later this month, the entire "action news" team will cover every angle of the democratic convention here in philadelphia. our live coverage starts july 22nd. it's nearly one month since 12 young girls were rescued from a home in bucks county and now a mom involved in the case is fighting to get out of jail. trish hartman is live now where the suspect appeared in court. >> reporter: rick, this morning a bucks county judge ordered bail lower to 10% of $250,000. down from the original bail of 10% of $1 million. her attorney says she has not yet made bail. she must abide by the original conditions, she must have no contact with the victims in this case or the co-defendants. she and her husband daniel are

charged with endangering the welfare of a child after police say they gifted their daughter to lee kaplan after a falling out with the amish church that daughter is now 18 and has two children by kaplan s. 12 girls total were removed from kaplan's home last month, and is locked up on $1 million bail. investigators spent several days going through kaplan's home gathering evidence. and the attorney and the prosecution came to an agreement forbe the bail reduction her attorney still says it's too high. >> $250,000, is high for someone with no record. we are paying respect to the seriousness of the offense.

>> she would have to post $25,000 to get out. that say substantial cash bail and i think sts appropriate in this case and it will protect the community and ensure that she will be here at all subsequent proceedings. >> reporter: defense attorneys say they plan to make another request for bail reduction in 30 days, the soonest allowable date in bucks county and a preliminary hearing is here for all three defendants in this case. trish hartman, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. a portion of main street in manayunk will remain closed today because of a water main break, it happened at the 4300 block this morning as water flowed for an hour before it was shut off. 30 properties were impacted in some way, but basements of businesses along main street that intersect with grape street were flooded. we'll bring you the latest tonight on "action news"

his farm, they are looking into if it was straight line winds or a twister. nearly 80 structures including 81 homes are destroyed by a while fire in new mexico, it tore through 800 acres since starting on wednesday. power lines are down in the area so firefighters are worried about propane tanks possibly exploding. firefighters have the lines of the fire under control to stop it from spreading. investigators are working on the theory that a man shot dead by baltimore police officers last night was trying to lure police to the scene. four plain clothes officers heard gun fire at 9:30 last evening, the suspects started to fire on officers with an ar 15 style rifle and two returned fire killing the suspect and the weapon was found in the tree line at the apartment complex

we'll show you the picture outside. chopper 6 hd looking at valley forge national park. we have got clouds around when we took the picture, but right now a mixture of clouds and sunshine across the region and temperatures are warming up pretty nicely. temperatures in the 80s right now with the southwesterly wind. 85 in philadelphia and 86 in trenton and 91 in a.c. and upper 80s in allentown and lehigh valley. you factor in the heat index. 92 in philadelphia and dover 94 feeling like 96 degrees in cape may. and we are not finding much relief in comparison to what we had across the region just yesterday. here is satellite 6 along with action radar we have dry conditions right now, a frontal boundary that is essentially falling out to the west and slowly making its way eastward into the first half of the
