want to jump into the water. >> that's the place to be, outside we go to chris sowers for more. >> reporter: good morning, guys, it's warm and soupy. relief down the shore, ocean temperatures in the low 70s that will feel nice and refreshing. the poconos head north into the higher elevations. poconos, 81 degrees no humidity. there are a few areas around the delaware and lehigh valleys where temperatures will be cooler. everybody else, though, looks like we're setting -- sweating it out again with temperatures in the 90s and dewpoints in the 60s and 70s. fleetwood, 69. manners creek, 67. glassboro, 76. vineland, 68 degrees, 70 for smyrna and dover, sea isle city, 74. here's satellite and radar, we're going back to 7:00 p.m. yesterday evening, as anticipated the showers and storms we saw were spotty in

nature. those of you who saw them got hammered as it continued to rain and rain and rain. some places picked up 4 inches with the isolatederstorms. in the meantime, now that the system is working out to sea, we've got a gorgeous sunday in store for you, sun and clouds, it stays hot. yes it will be humid, but not as intense as yesterday. 1:00 p.m., 89 degrees, 4:00 p.m., 91. with the humidity it will feel a degree or two warmer than the numbers you see in front of you. so, again, not as intense as yesterday. as we look ahead here's the weather headline, it stays hot and humid in the short term. 9 of degrees that was the -- 96 degrees was the hottest temperature recorded on thursday. we'll make a run at that tomorrow, with temperatures in the mid 90s it will feel like 100-plus. in the seven-day forecast we have a heat busting cold front on the way. i'll tell you when that arrives

and how long the cooler conditions last. nydia. >> we have a developing story out of kensington, philadelphia police are looking for the killer who stabbed a woman to death. the action cam was at the scene where the police found the 35-year-old victim's naked body at the intersection of east literally and jasper street. police got 911 calls at 11:00 p.m. of a woman screaming. she was attacked in the alley of east cumberland street. the woman ran for a block before she collapsed and died. >> when units arrived we located a deceased female on the corner of jasper and literally. she was bloody from head to toe and completely naked. she appears at this time to have been stabbed once in the right neck. >> police have found about ten surveillance cameras in the area, investigators are hoping that video from those cameras will give them a clear image of

the killer. >> if you're just waking up with us, time, 7:03. this morning, tension remain high in turkey where the president has stopped a military coup. the turkish president accused a muslim cleric living in pennsylvania being the mastermind behind the violence. turkey is demanding the u.s. extradite fethullah gulen who lives in the poconos. he denied having anything to do with the coup. he said he is opposed to throwing over the government by force. >> democracy cannot be achieve through military coups. thousands of supporters celebrated the defeat of the coup. hundreds of judges and prosecutors have been arrested along with 3,000 soldiers. the accusations targeting

that muslim cleric has brought attention to the poconos community where he lives. jeff chirico has been gathering more on fethullah gulen all weekend. >> reporter: the coup attempt may seem like a world away, but a defiant turkish president said it's the workers of a man he calls the main cause of the coup. fethullah gulen lives in this retreat surrounded by followers who are praised by neighbors. >> they are the nicest people, they gave me work when i i didn't have work. >> reporter: to reporters fethullah gulen denied involvement in the uprising that remained to overthrow his fierce political rival. but opponents outside the compound don't believe him. >> they shoot against elected government, so we show support to our country.

over a certain area and rain themselves out and we develop over the same -- redevelop over the same area and keep raininga. they produce tremendous amounts of rain in a short period of time. these are the doppler of them in camden county. 3 inches of rain in southern berlin doppler radar estimated. we get into the northeast southern portions of burlington county some areas picked up 3 or 4 inches of rain. here are the specific amounts recorded. atco 3.79. sicklierville flash flood warning 2 1/2 inches of rain. washington township, 2.37. springdale two inches. everybody else picked up a trace or a tenth of an inch of rain. some areas didn't see anything

everyone, 7:25 sunday morning, looks like we'll see drier air trying to work its way in here over the next four or five hours. that's what we look for, the water vapor image, this rent dry air, this is all soupy humid air up and down the eastern seaboard. yesterday shower and thunderstorm activity, look at this pocket of dry air that will work into the mid atlantic and the northeast. we'll see dewpoints from 68 to 70 degrees, that's extremely sticky. but the numbers will drop off a little bit as the day wears on. the 92 predicted high for
