sc pretty solid line treon to adph, lmgt and i was theayto ltalg e unr ti tnly relee me of this heat an humidity as we go over the next 24 to 48 hours. but a new severe thunderstorm warning just popped up just to the north and east of newark delaware, wilmington includes salem new jersey as well. this until 5 o'clock winds near 60 miles an hour and even some hail being detected with this particular storm. the worst of it is right along route two there to the west of wilmington. there are the times wilmington 4:21, pennsville at 4:27 auburn coming in around 4 4:40-ish. there is the same thing for swedesboro. that's when the hardest storm will pass through with the strong winds. 284 lightning strikes in the last 15 minutes. so a lot of vivid lightning with these storms a this storm still severe from woodbury half to cherry hill for the next five to 10 minutes winds near 40, 50 miles an hour as this sinks to the south and east at about 30 miles an hour in moorestown 4:21, blackwood 4:25 and somerdale at 4:25.

tangled love triangle. detectives are looking for these two people a man and his girlfriend who has been on the run since late last week. nora muchanic has the story from warwick. >> reporter: 33-year-old ed debinski was shot on his porch late wednesday night. the killer admitted to doing it to someone is now on the run. this is the man authorities are searching for thomas gould of bensalem. they've charged him with criminal homicide and looking for his companion 30-year-old naim known as asia for questioning. cops say naim was not only dating gould but had an on again off again relationship with the victim who died from one gunshot wound to the head. >> we assumed it had to do with the girlfriend 'cause they did have a lot of fights late at night. so we didn't know what was going on but i assume the girlfriend had something to do with it but it's so sad. he was a nice guy. >> reporter: authorities say gould and nain took off in this borrow champagned colored chevy silverado truck. they showed up in north

carolina last thursday where gould admitted to someone he shot dubinsky. >> we have not found the gun that killed the victim. we have to assume that gould and naim still have it. therefore we consider them armed and dangerous. >> reporter: they were living together at the apartment complex in bensalem where police found bullet casings matching the ones at the scene. the can couple was recently fired from fast capitol 360 a financial firm in southampton. the company declined comment. the image on the left is an old driver's license photo of naim. it differs greatly from this current photo on facebook. >> he said i can't marry her so i'm breaking off with her and next thing you know her car would be back. >> wherever you are, go to your local state police barracks, sheriff's substation turn yourselfism police are asking anyone who may have information about this case or the couple involved to contact them immediately. in warwick, i'm nora muchanic, channel6 "action news." >> it was a deadly encounter

in philadelphia's mayfair section and police now say they know who did it. investigators say 28-year-old styles russ ling shot and killed 34-year-old kevin twist saturday along the 3200 block of frankford avenue. the two had reportedly gotten into some type of argument which then turned physical. rusling is accused of pulling a handgun and shooting twist twice in the neck. from our new jery news room now take a look at this sketch. state police need your help finding this man. investigators say he robbed a pizza restaurant in old man's salem county. an employee at country store on south railroad of a told police the man pressed an object to their back then took cash from the register on june 28th. anyone with information is asked to call detectives

near the electrical lines there. getting a lot of pictures even some trees down in parts of philadelphia county as well and this severe storm near wilmington pushing towards salem county, new jersey. the severe thunderstorm warning in effect until 5 o'clock. winds near 60 miles an hour. also some small hail has been reported but the hail is kind of falling apart at this point. there you can see the rain really falling heavily wilmington down to newark, along 95 and route one. there are the towns and the times mullica hill around 4:55 once it pushes into new jersey here. 212 lightning strikes in the last 15 minutes and when you take a look at the rainfall rate, falling around stanton to wilmington, along 95, 495, 295, we're dealing with two to 4 inches of rain per hour. so, it is pouring in this area collecting on the roadways, so this storm meaning business with its respect to its rainfall, its lightening it's winds.

and speaking of our brave men and women in uniform, check out this viral video of firefighters training in arizona. and of course while it's all tough very dangerous work, this crew is having a little bit of fun with these exercises and people say, you know what, this looks a whole lot like the boardwalk game whack a mole. the firefighters train regular inside a three story bird house and they're hiding behind the windows. they open and shut them sporadically as a recruit on the ground tries to spray them. apparently this helps hone movement, foot work and precision with that very powerful hose there and you know what, it kind of looks like a lot of fun except if you get sprayed i don't think it's probab f then. you'd want to shut those shutters. the video has been viewed more than half a million times. pretty cool stuff. finally, if you need a happy tear today, we have it for you. there is a new campaign aimed at spreading joy and kindness. it's a project called dude, be nice. and the latest stop on the

nice tour landed them at reading high school in berks county. they planned a very special surprise for a pretty awesome man. >> this school is known as the castle on the hill. guess what? today, you're the king of that castle. and downed trees. njt's river line suspended between the walter rand transportation and the waterfront entertainment center because of issues with police activity goingo there in camden. meanwhile outside on the roads it's not much better. broken down truck and accident here on 95 northbound at girard. just one lane getting by so it's parked coming north of tasker in south philadelphia through this point at girard avenue. in upper dublin butler pike is still closed because of a crash. tennis avenue an alternate around that. but look at all the colors here in delaware and delaware county. now they disappeared but slow going on 202, the concorde pike northbound because of traffic light troubles. downed wires in upper chichester blocking 322 eastbound n south jersey 322 also blocked because of another set of dopped wires. lot going on brian and shar regional rail we'll check it again 5 o'clock. >> very good. than you very much. and let's take a look at why that red was on that map. a live look right now sky6 hd in downtown wilmington. you saw the lightning just there. it is coming down if buckets.

parts of kent county down to dover until 5:15, strong winds near 60 miles an hour is the main threat with these storms. we track the storm right here south of wilmington heading towards northern parts of salem. salem you can expect the heaviest part of the storm around 4:57, and then welchville around 5:01 and then alloway at 5:09 and also there's this storm to the west of middletown that is severe. you see all the lightning with it. that is going to be sliding into central and southern parts of new castle county around the next 20 minutes. dealing with heavy downpours, a few flashes of lightning, 15 in the last 15 minutes. this is not severe but heading towards route 206 south of tabernacle and kind of parallelling route 70 here near medford this area of heavy rain continues to push from the west to the east. it was severe. did bring some wind damage in and around blackwood but that continues to fall apart at this point as it heads eastbound. all of this action is really a break in the heat and humidity to come here tuesday and

wednesday. we are now in day five our third heat wave of the summer so far. it started on thursday of 96 degrees. today so far we've topped off at 95. we won't hit that again now that it has rained in philadelphia but again, those five days well above the normal of 87 degrees. the heat index is down but it's still very uncomfortable and kind of soupy out there from allentown, philadelphia to wilmington but areas that have still yet to see the rain it feels like 98 in millville, 90 in cape may and near 100 at the atlantic city airport. we have severe thunderstorm watches all the way from northern maine down to baltimore, so a lot of i-95 corridor dealing with the severe weather this evening but again, once we pass this front through, it will be quiet through most of the overnight hours tonight, remaining humid, 67 in the suburbs. flip that number 67 in center city but the front is off the coast here for your tuesday. a beautiful northern westerly wind tomorrow. lo hi,tays warm and sunny at 89 degrees and that high continues to dominate the
