bloomquist, and meteorologist, david murphy. bloomquist is on assignment in cleveland. in the news a fire inside of a parking garage leads to an evacuation in delaware county. the government buildings shut down for the rest of the day. and septa is facing questions over its long-term plans for troubles on the regional rail. but the big story on "action news" is donald trump, becoming his parties official nominee at the national convention but the big storey is his wife melania stealing her speech from first lady s. michelle obama. rick, the trump team is forced to respond to the melania speech after what some sai a successful night.

children were inside of the home. investigators say the kids with in another room when he stabbed his wife to death. police responded to a 911 call at 5:30 this morning. >> upon arriving at the residence they found a female body on the kitchen floor with multiple stab wounds. once they got inside they located the husband who stated that there was a domestic dispute there and he was put in custody right away. >> the suspect and victim own a deli in collingswood and their names have not been released . an 80-year-old man was robbed in his own house by three men that knocked down his front door and now the elderly victim is talking about the break-in. annie mccormick joins us live with the story. >> reporter: that is right police say they are looking for three suspects that robbed the 83-year-old man inside of his

somerton home. the 80-year-old victim spoke to "action news" and says the suspects knocked down his front door and barged into his bedroom and demanded money. >> they said stay where you and don't move. two guys one with a gun and one with a pipe. >> he doesn't want to be shown or name used. at 10:00 a.m. after busting down his front door two men with weapons entered his bathroom and demanded cash, police think a third person was involved too. >> it was so fast it was not that scary. they took a ring off me. >> they ransacked his house, bedroom and living room and when through several drawers season closets, they took $800 cash and took some medicine, and took some cash, and he was wearing a

ring on his pinky finger and they made him take that off and took his cell phone. the victim frequents parks casino and he won several hundred dollars there and thinks he could have been targeted by the suspects after his recent win and he was not afraid of the home invasion and will go about his life. >> what are you going to do? die? you have to live your life. >> according to northeast detectives even though there say gap from sunday night to when the home invasion happened this morning, they are looking into the possibility of that the victim was targeted at the casino and parks casino is fully cooperating and their cameras reviewing video from sunday night and looking at video from the neighborhood and any information that the public may have. reporting live, channel 6 "action news." >> annie thank you. a small fire in a parking

garage caused problems in delaware, media county. and the smoke made it into the building next door forcing them to shut down the courthouse and the building for the rest of the day. >> we put the sprinkler system back and making sure the carbon monoxide level is safe so people can reenter the building. >> vehicles were stuck inside of the park garage while crews cleaned up the fire. it's unclear when the courthouse and government building might reopen. turning now to accuweather, we are finally getting a break from the humidity today. sky 6 hd living live at the ben franklin bridge. oh that is penn's landing and still hot outside and we may be getting a brief break. karen rogers is in for david murphy and has a check of the forecast. >> reporter: speaking of a break

i have a wind gust and out of the northwest it feels pretty good. what a change from the past five days with temperatures in the 90s. community by community, caker town 80 and 80 in pottstown and 84 in coatesville and it's a warm summer day, and 85 in saint davids and 84 in center city. and new jersey 84 in browns mills and 83 in hammonton and 83 at the boardwalk in a.c. and 83 in vineland and 83 in dover, delaware. look at this number in smyrna s. 88 degrees, so yes we are keeping the warmth but not the heat and humidity. 60 degree dew points in philadelphia just in the 50s in the northwest so feeling nice and comfortable, still a little sticky in south jersey and delaware when the numbers are up and they are dropping over the next couple of hours. satellite 6 along with action

we are learning more about the possible motive of a bloody rammage on a train in germany. an afghan teen looking for asylum used an axe and a knife and police shot him. a hand painted islamic state flag was found in his room, and at this point they say he was

self radicalized but has no direct link to isis. funeral services are held today for a police officer killed in the dallas ambush. officer michael crull is being laid to rest in his home town of michigan. the 40-year-old was shot to death by a sniper in dallas. four other officers were killed and the gunman was shot to death by police. the trial date is set for an alleged pennsylvania cop killer found after a 48 day manhunt. eric frein goes on trial in march, accused of ambushing and killing corporal brian dixon and wounding corporal douglas. it happened in pike county back in september of 2014. in court documents frein says he carried out of the attack to start a revolution to get liberties back. a prison guard and one man died inside of a pennsylvania

state prison. the violence sparked a lock down at the luzerne county prison last night. tracy gilliam was behind bars for not registering as a sex offender. a san antonio police officer is being called a hero today, he talked three children in jumping into his arms from a burning building. he saw thick black smoke and without a safe way to got up. he talked the children into jumping down to him. he caught three of them one by one as they fell 12 feet into his arms, the 12-year-old boy winter back into the apartment but firefighters were able to bring him back out safely. >> still to come, researchers have connected the practice of fracking with another healt

the last storms pushed off the coast, when the front moved out. behind it we have nothing but sunshine and it's a pretty day and warm though, at the beach a nice sea breeze this morning and the winds shifted now, and it's warm in beach haven, 86 and 85 in ocean city. the farther south you go, the stickier. 87 in rehoboth beach and 88 is the high in beth any beach. 88 for the city, a couple of degrees below average, 88 in reading and 88 in wilmington and millville and 82 in cape may. lets look at the forecast hour by hour, by 2:00, 89. and by 6:00, 87 degrees and 8:00 it drops down to 83 and by 10:00 it's 75 degrees, we have a nice night ahead. it's going to be comfortable,
