sarah bloomquist channel six action news. >> was saw the first real clash between protesters and police today, 17 people were arrested after a protester tried to set fire to an american flag. cleveland police are reporting that that protester accidentally set his clothes on fire and the claim spread to others. nobody was seriously hurt. police responded fast and in large numbers, one officer used mace to quiet an individual. police far out numbered the protesters and photographers may far out numbered the police. meanwhile the trump campaign did admit today that portions of malania's speech were taken from michelle obama's speech from 8 years ago and contained two sections that used the same words and phrases as obama speech but for 35 hours the trump people denied that there was any hint of plagiarism.

out of lower marion township where the river has been searched for a man suspected of jumping in the river in the last 40 minutes in his quest to evade police, no word on why police were pursuing him but apparently this is happening near hollow and river roads and again about 40 minutes ago a man apparently jumped into the river to evade police and are now searching for him with police boats launched into the river, choppers are overhead as well as they continue that evening search. also breaking news out of north philadelphia a 16-year-old was shot during a robbery tonight, it happened about 9:30 here at sesel and wood bee street the victim just left his girlfriend's home when two tried to rob him and shot him twice. the teen was rushed to st. christopher's hospital the suspects fled, they remain at large. meanwhile the gunman who shot a 15-year-old boy tonight in philadelphia's frankfurt section

is also on the run and police know who they are looking for in the case and believe the motive was an argument yesterday with some pushing and shoving. today the shooter came back with a gun. he opened fire in the 4800 about 5:20 tonight. the teenage victim is in surgery in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the stomach. a 20-year-old firefighter suffered burns to his legs battling this blaze at a new castle motel late this afternoon and broke out in one of the motel rooms in the 200 south dupont highway, investigators don't know what started it, no one in the unit was hurt but a 60-year-old woman and a neighboring room needed to go to the hospital for some breathing problems. the manhunt is over tonight for thomas gould and zanaatul and naim in bucks county surrendered

tonight to police and he was dating gould but also had an on again, off again relationship with dubinsky and he was shot in the head at his home and naim is considered a person of interest, gould has already been charged with the murder. now to a developing story southwest airlines is trying to come back from a technology glitch. some of them have grounded flights across the country for hours. the airline says more than 600 flights have been delayed, 17 flights have been cancelled, the computer outage at one point today kept passengers from even being able to buy ticks online to check flight status or check in for a flight, that led to lines like this enormous line in baltimore, maryland take ebb -- taken by an action news viewer and not all are frustrated and we spoke to passengers arriving on southwest at philadelphia international and called it uneventful and smooth sailing

and may have tracked down the source of a problem that put more than 100 rail cars out of service the silver liner five trains says it is due to what is called faulty welds, the weld is part of the suspension system and it involves a load bearing beam. now that the problem has been identified the train manufacturer hundai says two possible replacement beams are being considered, the company blames the bad welding job on one of its subcontractors but that office did not return e-mails or calls or comment to the associated press and has not given its official determination of just what caused all the cracks. a darby bureau neighborhood is up in arms or a tire slashing spree and woke to a dozen flat tires all in the 1100 of chest nut street and no idea why they were targeted and they had two cars hit and cost that one family hundreds of dollars to

barely believe he is alive after this rollover crash and says it's thanked to good samaritans who rushed to save him on a south carolina highway yesterday and 20 year old driver lost control, flipped up side down this a ditch and the car was leaking gas. more than a dozen people pulled over to help him and to roll his car up right as you saw. he was stunned but barely injured, suffering just a slight burn on his arm.
