donald trump accepting the nomination of the republican party as president of the united states. a few moments ago, the balloons and confetti started raining down on this assemble. the trump's and the pence's came together to accept the cheers of the delegates in cleveland. tonight, donald trump delivered a raw speech shg about an hour and 20 minutes, a speech that promised assault on terrorism, immigration reform, a new day for the economy, lower taxes, but most of all, a return to law and order. >> when i take the oath of office next year, i will restore law and order to our country. believe me, believe me. in this race for the white

p.m. to 6:30 a.m. the unveiling of the stage at the wells fargo center. in other news, it has been a tragic 24 hours in philadelphia with four separate murders across the city. police do not believe they were linked. one was a captain beaten to death in her bed. dann cuellar has details. >> reporter: it has been a busy 24 hours for investigators who have been from one murder scene to another. in particular, the 25th district, the site of three homicid homicides. an icon loved by many. the pain and shock in the 3700 block of north percy the block where ruth ann called home. she touched many lives. >> she was a great community person, a block captain and gave lunches out. always clean. she never said no when you

138 people had to evacuate from a philadelphia bound american airlines flight that suffered a serious mechanical issue. two dozen people were hurt. the a-320 was taxiing on the runway when some alerts went off that the jet sprung a leak of hydraulic fluid. everyone on board had to slide down the inflatable emergency chute to get to the tarmac. 28 passengers and one flight attendant went to the hospital
