impacting their rides. one of the major impacts weight restrictions in place along 95. as a result of those weight restrictions which are no vehicles over 5 tons can travel 95 between the platt bridge and center city, as a result of that, they've set up police checkpoints to make sure that no vehicles over the weight limit do travel on that chunk of 95 so all day long we've been seeing delays going into those checkpoints. this is the northbound delay approaching philadelphia international airport and the exit for the platt bridge. coming southbound you also have a delay from past the betsy ross bridge into girard where lanes are blocked with those police checkpoints. coming eastbound on the vine there's a checkpoint right up ahead as you try and get on 95 to make sure no vehicles over 5 tons are getting on the southbound side. we've also seen intermittent closures throughout the day of the vine street expressway as motorcades have moved through and the delegate buses have moved through. the ramp from the schuylkill eastbound to packer avenue is closed all week in the

afternoons and evenings and of course south broad street is closed between packer and terminal but it's also extended north that closure during the day today because of protestors marching down broad. you can imagine a lot of septa buses are on detours, septa's broad street line is not running between oregon and at&t because of security but on the regional rails everything is pretty much as it's been for the last few weeks with the trains running a little bit behind on those interim schedules. we'll check it again though alicia, coming up at 5 o'clock. >> all right, matt, thank you. and still to come on "action news" we're going to tell you about a deal for the kids that is heating up with the weather. parents are going to love this one. stepping outside sky6 hd is looking live at the wells fargo center. meteorologist adam joseph with your exclusive hot and steamy accuweather 7-day forecast next. longhorn's grilled tastes of summer.

60 miles an hour with these storms and has had a history of producing hail up to 1 inch in diameter. you can see this cluster of color here along i-78 and extends down to macungie, 101 lightning strikes in the last 15 minutes so it's a continuous flashing and rumble of thunder time of evening here in and around parts of the lehigh valley but this storm, at least the intense part of it with the hail looks like it's beginning to fall apart. another severe near bucks county princeton pennington until 5:15, winds near 60 miles per hour as it pushes to the east-northeast at about 35 miles an hour approaching pennington route 31. you can see this purple developing along i-95 heading towards 206. that would be small hail with this storm with about 30 to 35 lightning strikes in the last 15 minutes so passing north and east of new hope as well as newtown and now heading into downtown trenton.

watching this severe storm heading to the north and east and again, it's that heat index of 108 in philadelphia, 101 in trenton that is helping these storms to reach levels of 30 to 50,000 feet in the atmosphere, tapping into strong winds as well as that hail core that high up in the atmosphere, 107 in wilmington as well as millville and feels like 114 degrees in the last hour in dover. satellite and radar, the cold front is still way to our north and west. these are just kind of renegade storms that are popping ahead of the main line. we're going to track that main line that passed through philadelphia between about the eight and 9 o'clock hour so at 7:30 future tracker showing the actual front pushing through wilmington, philadelphia and trenton, hits the coast around 8, 9 o'clock, 10 o'clock and even by 11 o'clock, we could still see some scattered storms trying to fire up even as that cold front slowly pushes through. now, behind this boundary it's still hot tomorrow. there's no relief. we hit 95 degrees in the

afternoon tomorrow and it is still humid. it won't be as oppressive as today but it's going to feel like 100 degrees or so for the main area around philadelphia between about 2 o'clock and 4 o'clock so very little in the way of relief even after these storms pass through. the exclusive accuweather 7-day forecast hot, still humid, 95 tomorrow. a little break in the humidity on wednesday but still blistering hot of 95 degrees. the humidity spikes again on thursday so thursday very much like today with the heat and humidity feeling well over 100 degrees with storms coming in once again in the evening and those storms could linger into friday of 90 degrees but we are back to the 80's with still high humidity over the weekend but hey, we'll take 88 degrees for three days in a row for saturday, sunday and monday around here. still a very brutal week for those folks who are in town for the dnc. no really break from the humidity and heat until the weekend. >> we do have a hot deal for parents trying to keep their
