accuweather? >> the system ending the heat wave is bringing much needed rain and too much too quickly. that is the flash flood threat. double scan live radar showing the conveyer belt of moisture. it originated in the gulf of mexico. that is why we have the tropical feeling and the threat of severe weather shifted south of philadelphia and the national weather service canceled the severe thunderstorm watch for philadelphia and areas north, that is really south of philadelphia south jersey and delaware until midnight. these are the areas that have the threat for damaging winds and hail and we have been seeing this with a cell that was moving out of dover. double scan live radar showing along the i-95 corridor in delaware, but south jersey delaware is where we see the heavy hitters as we zoom to the south that is the cell i tracked out of kent county and heading to cape may. 140 lightning strikes in this

view alone in the last 15 minutes and that came with a 60 miles per hour wind gust at dover air force base. that could cause damage. the story is the air is saturate and can pull down a lot of rain in a short period of time. the flash flood continues tonight until noon on friday, some areas get more than 3 inches of rain than can cause flash flooding and i'll talk about that in the full accuweather forecast. >> thank you cecily. 40,000 residents of camden are being told to boil their water tonight after a water main break in pennsauken. that sends water into camden and they fear that the contaminated ground water is flowing into the city as well. crews are on the scene trying to make repairs but no word when service will be back to normal. we are live once again inside of the wells fargo center. in south philadelphia.

this will be the most important night of hillary clinton's political career and the delegates are here filled with anticipation and expectation and the realization that if clinton wants to come out of this convention with momentum, she needs to knock it out of the park tonight. >> and tonight is the climax of the democratic national convention, this event began on monday with the democrats split between delicious and sanders camps and reason to wonder if they could come together. speeches by president obama and vice president biden helped to bring them closer but tonight hillary clinton has to seal the deal. >> she will be introduced tonight, by her daughter chelsea, chelsea has been playing an active role in this campaign and of course a very interested spectator during the first three days of this

convention. vice president joe biden got the delegates going last night with his very direct verbal assault against donald trump. he said any notion that trump cares about the middle class is quote, a bunch of malarky. after his speech i asked the vice president what hillary clinton's number one priority must be in her speech to the country tonight. >> she has to let people see her heart a little bit. see her heart. everybody knows her head and everybody knows how smart and how tough and resilient she is. but i hope they get a little glimpse of her heart she really cares about people. >> sara bloomquist is live on the convention floor, sara what are the delegates hoping to hear from hillary clinton tonight? >> reporter: jim they want specifics to spell out what she would do as president and get a better feel for who she is as a

the wells fargo center. tonight is the fourth and final night of the democratic convention and of course hillary clinton officially accepts the nomination and the party is well underway. katy perry will perform tonight. she will take the stage before chelsea clns takes the stage toin truce her mother. katy perry was on the stage for a sound check and she found everything just fine. we saw minor clashes between police and protesters last night but it's so far quiet today. chad pradelli has that story from fdr park. >> reporter: we are here at fdr park and it's relatively quiet because of the rain inimpending storms. we see a few protesters arrive here outside of the wells fargo center in the past few minutes, they are relatively quiet. earlier this afternoon we are over here at what is called tent city in fdr park and we saw

people packing up and trying to stay dry as the wet weather is moving in here late this afternoon and into the evening. over the past couple of days what we have seen is the park has been quiet in the afternoon but by 10:00, 11:00, the protesters get out in force and make their voice heard. last night you had a half dozen protesters storm the fence at the wells fargo center. they were arrested and charged. also, over the past several days, police tell me that more than 100 people are cited for disorderly conduct and that is a fine. they are lobbying police for their interaction with protesters and handling them. >> i am surprised by the discretion by the police, they are going out of their way to keep things calm. >> of all the people cited and it's been 103, think i. all but five are from out of

stuck, they were worried that the truck hit a gas main but the all clear was given. gloucester county held their first disability job fair today. job seekers could meet with a variety of potential employers, among the companies, target, goodwill and fedex and lockheed martin and workshops are held to prepare job seekers for interviews. 46 people from 21 countries are the newest citizens tonight. and they took the pledge in morrisville, bucks county. that mean they will cast their first votes in this historic election. many are undecided so far and looking forward to hearing month of what the candidates have to say.

carroll martin luther king carol king who just finished up. the dnc is going out with a lot of fanfare. and on top of the newscast i talk about the cell on ton of cape may county. the national weather service issued a severe thunderstorm warning until 8:15 because this cell packs a punch with winds up to 60 and the potential for hail and moving to the east at 25 miles per hour. all the communities in the path of this dangerous storm. whitesboro and cape may and north wildwood 6:35 and tonight harbor by 6:40, if you have friends on the beaches she should be getting inside immediately. it's not a good beach day at all.

the rain riding up the garden state parkway and oceansville and atlantic city also rain but not a lot of lightning strikes here and this system is putting an end to the heat wave and causing violent weather, west bradford, chester county, 1:00 this afternoon you had a violent cell move through there. and medina a lightning strike hit a house and dover air force base reported a 63 miles per hour wind gust and gloucester county close to 3 inches of rain and chester reportsing a lot of flash flooding and this is coming on the heels of the last day of our heat wave. 95 degrees today and the heat index 100, and seven days in a row of temperatures in the 90s and the heat wave, the longest one so far this year the fourth of year it's over. temperatures down into the 70s and the next six days temperatures should hold in the 80s but it's not a perfect forecast heading into the

weekend, satellite 6 along with action radar showing you can see this really conveyer belt of moisture it's all coming up from the gulf of mexico. so this has a tropical connection and what will happen is we'll have a series of low pressures moving over us over the next three days. tonight we have heavy thunderstorms and severe storms possible south of philadelphia and widespread threat of flash flooding and that continues until noon tomorrow. and 69 in the suburbs and future tracker 6 showing at 11:30 people are leaving the wells fargo center and tomorrow morning tapering off to showers and into the afternoon we see breaks of sunshine however a possibility of a pop-up shower or thunderstorm. a little bit of instability left. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast it's warm and humid and 86 degrees and early thunderstorms and peeks of sunshine, we have isolated thunderstorm and the weekend will remain unsettled. not a washout but scattered
