and flash flooding has been reported in spots. meteorologist melissa magee -- adam joseph joins us now, adam. >> we are dealing with heavy rain through you pennsylvania and northern counties in new jersey, southern delaware, southern new jersey, it has been dry through much of the afternoon and flood warning, consists of areas in mercer county until 8:00 p.m., up to 6 inches of rainfall even near lawrence, planes boro and just to the east of ewing, new jersey. again, this is really heavy rain falling in very short amounts of time. as we look at storm tracker six live, with this estimated rainfall totals you can see here near princeton as well as lawrence, about four and a half inches of rain so far. pocket of six just to the east of princeton and there have been some reports in and around the princeton area of water rescues, again, you never want to drive-in to flooded roadways, you don't know how deep that water is. present radar on storm tracker six live double scan will show intensity diminished along 206

and route one but is there still more heavy rain to the south, southern bucks county, montgomery counties. the rain is not over just yet. as we look to the west, near pottstown, downingtown, malvern, norristown, schuylkill expressway, northeast extension, very heavy rain passing through and it is all because of this very tropical air, we have in place with those dew points remaining near 70 degrees. atmosphere is moisture loaded right now and with energy passing through it is sparking these downpours and thunderstorms and literally rings the at whose fear out. you can expect throughout the rest of the weekend, even into monday with these on and off downpours at anytime, with that tropical humidity and additional one to three or more inches of rain can still occur that will lead to some road and some creek flooding. walter, we will look another look at storm tracker six live for you and show you future tracker what to expect for tomorrow again in the accu weather forecast. >> we will keep an eye on that thank you, adam. an investigation is underway after a new jersey

state trooper shot a 76 year-old man inside his own home. trooper's were responding to a 911 call but it turns out they responded to the wrong address. "action news" reporter jeff chirico is live at the state police barracks in bridgeton with the details, jeff? >> reporter: hey, walter i have just checked and gerald sykes condition has been upgraded from critical to stable condition. terrible situation, was brought on by a series of misunderstandings by both police and the victim. police responded to the home after dispatchers incorrectly traced a 911 call made from a cell phone, to sykes house, in the 300 block of centerton road. according to state police two uniformed officer knock on the door, identified themselves and announced why they were there but when they made it around back, there was an exchange of gunfire. sykes fired one round from a shotgun and troopers fired four shots from their handguns, hitting sykes, multiple times. police have not said who fired first.

sykes then ran back into the house and only after calling 911 did he come out, for medical treatment, he was flown to cooper university medical center in critical condition. his wife who was also home, was not hurt. it is unclear why police thought the call came from sykes home but there is a cell phone tower on that property. one of the troopers were told received a grazed wound, both troopers were taken to the medical center and treated and released. attorney general's office is handling this case and they say they will release more information, once the investigation is concluded. good news is that sykes condition has been upgraded, from critical to stable condition. we are live from bridgeton, jeff cher coy for channel six "action news". >> thanks, jeff. it has been a violent day across philadelphia meanwhile. just before 3:00 a.m. office are on patrol heard gunshots in the area of the 2400 block of south 24th street. when they arrived at the scene a 23 year-old man was lying in the passenger seat of a car with a gunshot wound to the chest. he was taken to penn

presbyterian where he was pronounced dead a short time later. an hour and a half later officers were called to kensington on reports of the person with a gun in the area of e and west moreland streets. they arrived to find a 20 year-old man suffering from gunshot wound. he was taken to temple in critical condition. then at 11:00 this morning a 26 year-old man was shot three times in north philadelphia. he was hit twice in the head and once in the stomach, and that unfolded, along the 3100 block of north sheridan street. he was pronounced dead at temple university hospital. meanwhile families affected by gun violence gathered to remember their loved ones and reflect honoraries event crime in the city. "action news" reporter trish hartman was there where people came to share their stories, and called for an end to the violence. >> reporter: people filed into this north philadelphia funeral home, signing the guest book and reflect nothing front of the coffin. but this isn't a memorial for just one person, or even one family. >> we are welcoming all of the families that have suffered a tragedy. >> reporter: impact gun

richmond home and so far no arrests. the continued violence inspired her father, and many others, to be here. >> i think when they do something like this and they realize all of the families that have been affected and they realize that they have a voice, they just keep going with it. they keep going. next thing you know you have a group of new advocates. >> reporter: reporting from north philadelphia, trish hartman for channel six "action news". from our delaware news room a fire truck, struck a person running in a dirt bike this afternoon. it happened 1:30 at the intersection of fourth and van buren streets right there in wilmington. ladder truck was responding to a 911 call at the time. victim was rushed to christiana hospital. no word on his or her condition. water services have been restored to all but one customer in a neighborhood near roosevelt boulevard in northeast philadelphia after a the water main break. main broke at 2:30 this morning, as you can see, right there from the boulevard near levick street. police had already shut down outer lanes when the water started overtaking inner lanes

forcing the closure of all northbound lanes in that area. work continues to repair that main at this hour. we're told lanes have been reopen. a boil water advisory has been lifted for tens of thousands of people in camden, on thursday, a water main in pennsauken ruptured, compromising the water quality in the pun water in camden. since then neighbors had been advised to boil their water before using it. tonight officials say water is usable and consumable once again but they say be sure to run those faucets for several minutes before using it, to flush out the systems as a precaution. we have some developing news out of central texas where it the is being report that had there are no survivors after a hot air balloon caught fire and crash. sixteen people were on board that balloon when it went down just before 8:00 this morning in the past tour near the town of lockheart. is there a row of power lines near the site of the crash, but investigators have not yet said what was behind the tragedy. ntsb officials are expect on the scene tonight to continue the investigation.

for continuing coverage of the presidential campaign, donald trump offered his response today to army father kahn's charge saying trump has sacrificed nothing for his country. he says has sacrificed by quote employing thousands and thousands office people. kahn's wife didn't speak because she was forbidden to because she was muslim. during the convention kahn recounted how his son a u.s. army captain was killed during a car bombing in iraq back in 20 on 46789 trump questioned whether kahn wrote his own speech. that interview with abc's george step nap lust is set to air tomorrow morning. meanwhile hillary clinton didn't respond to trump comments about kahn during a stop at johnstown, pennsylvania this afternoon. instead she focused on her plan to create more jobs and hit trump for offering, in her word, empty promises. she made another comment about trump saying that she is not going to respond, to what he says about her, saying that she's grown a thick skin regarding the whole thing but

she added she will respond when he insults american workers. local veterans were honored today in roxborough for their services to our country. >> ♪ >> the 21st war veterans association hosted eighth annual, hospitalized veterans tribute concert. along with the concert there was a car show and several booths set up offering information about different programs available all throughout the community. the event was organize in the way to say thank to you those who served our country. volunteers came together today in chester county to make some much needed repairs of the home of the woman from phoenixville n fact house needed a new roof, bathroom repairs, and there was water damage in the basement. christian non-profit organization called good works, has been working on the house over the past several months, and the single mother who lives in this house says if this group didn't help her out she would have had to move. much more to come on "action news" tonight, a new life chapter begins for students from the local

more than 230 students from the philadelphia college of osteopathic medicine's graduate programs received their doctorate and masters degrees. the ceremony took place this afternoon at kimmel certainty right there in center city. dozens of people didn't let weather stop them from enjoying a bike ride through burlington county. they took part in the century bicycling ride. riders took off from spell bound brewing company right there in mount holy and rode22, 45 or even 100 miles depending on the course that they chose. all raising money goes to help rancocas valley little league. smell of delicious grilled meats filled the air at citizens bank parkas part of the philly barbecue fest. people could sample barbecue from 40 different vendors cooking up their signature dishes. >> ♪ >> people in wilmington delaware enjoyed sound of music while pay tribute to the bob marley. action cam on the scene at 22nd annual peoples festival at river front wilmington. there was plenty of music,

point in and around philadelphia but heavier downpours, malvern, north of downingtown, northern chester county all the way through to montgomery county and that extend into berks county as well as the lehigh valley, 222, route 100 near boyer town, green lane. very, very heavy tropical rains, slowly pushing from the south to the north and this continues up into the poconos where nascar is in town and creating quite a mess, for them. 67 degrees poconos right now. where the air is dryer without the rain today temperatures responded, and they are still in the 80's. philadelphia we did hit 88 for a high today. down to 79 now because of the rain. now as we look at satellite radar is there a ribbon of energy passing from the west to the east. you can see a line developing north and west of washington. areas south of philadelphia that. seen the rain all this still has to slide to the east. so everyone tonight will see some of these heavy downpours around and a few thunderstorms at times, 70 to 73 degrees for
