warning until 3:15 p.m., doppler radar showing 5 inches of have fallen up in rariton and east ward. these recorded totals. phlegm -- flemming ton, 2 inches of rain. all that has fallen in 3 or four hours time span. that's a lot of rain in short period of time. temperatures in the mid 80s. you factor in the humidity, feels like the 90s. look at dover, feels like 101 in dover. incredible amounts of humidity. accuweather says the remainder of the afternoon, clouds and sun, humid, 89 degrees is the forecasted high. there is relief in the seven-day forecast, and i will let you know when it arrives when i see you in just a few minutes.

after two accidents on the boulevard. this happened before 2:00 a.m. in the southbound lanes of roosevelt boulevard at fox street in the east falls section of philadelphia. several people were standing outside their cars after an accident when another car passing through the area hit 6 of them. the victims are in stable condition. there have been no charges filed. detectives are searching for two men following a shooting and attempted robbery in feltonville section. two men were standing on the porch late last night. they were approached by two men, one of whom demanded money, when he did not produce anything he was shot in the chest. the injured man was taken to einstein million center. a 76-year-old -- einstein medical center. a 76-year-old south jersey man is in critical, but stable condition after new jersey troopers went to his home and

shot him through the front door of his house. jerry sykes thought someone was trying to get into the home, he went to the front door with a shotgun. the troopers shot him four times in the chest. >> whiles the first response to -- why was the first response to pump four rounds through the door. >> his eyes got as big as saucers he said what? they were state troopers, they never gave me a warning, they shot me without a warning. >> sykes says after he collapsed he shot through the door and grazed one of the officers. the officer is doing okay. he said troops treated sykes like he was a criminal. he did not get medical treatment for 45 minutes. one woman is dead and four others injured after a shooting in austin, texas.

someone started shooting in the downtown entertainment district. three people had to go to the hospital, they are in serious, but stable condition. a 4th victim was not seriously injured and declined to go to the hospital. police looking for a suspect. federal investigators now confirm at least 16 people died in yesterday's hot air balloon crash near austin, texas. ntsb said investigators are trying to determine how many people were on the balloon. balloons do not file flight plans, so there might not be a passenger manifest. witnesses say the balloon collided with high tension lines. we'll have much more on the crash at 12:30. >> 12:06, here's the latest information on the controversy over donald trump's comments about a gold star father who criticized trump at the

extremely humid out here this afternoon making for very uncomfortable conditions. satellite and radar showing activity well north an east of philadelphia. actually that's the heavy rains that swept through during the morning. if you look toward the left around pittsburgh you see more showers and thunderstorms starting to flare up. there's a little disturbance out there, that will swing through during the afternoon hours, that means more showers and thunderstorms are possible. the pool forecast looks like, it's not a washout. as a matter of fact you'll have several dry hours in between the downpours, the problem when it rains it pours. clouds and sun, humid, 88 degrees around 1:00 p.m. 5:00 p.m., 86 with the humidity feeling like the low to mid 0s. one or two areas will pick up the downpours and you'll pick up

heads. there were lots of people in there. >> reporter: joe and others captured these pictures of the balloon flying low over a family land him minutes later, disaster leaving 16 people dead. >> first i heard a whoosh and then a big ball of fire up. >> all you could tell it was a fire, a big ball of flames. >> according to authorities, the balloon burst into flames saturday morning after possibly hitting power lines and plunging to the ground in lockhart, texas. >> we have a vehicle fully engulfed in flames. >> reporter: balloon operated by heart of texas balloon rides. this was a large balloon 8500 cubic meters meaning it could carry 16 people. so what went wrong, investigators say it's too soon for answers, but it was two
