>> it is happening right now at the lumber yard on delsea drive-in franklin township where "action news" reporter jeff chirico joins us live with the very latest, jeff? >> reporter: walter, sarah, this is as close as we can get you right now but looking through those trees you can see fire fighters are still putting water on the hot spots. there are 30 companies here from across south jersey working on this operation, that the chief of police here, i'm sorry, fire chief hearsays the building is a total loss. this ace huge blow to the community as the coluci lum where yard has been serving this community since 1945. viewer video shows the flames and heavy smoke ripping through the lumber yard on the 300 block of delsea drive nearly 200 fire fighters, spent hours, battling the blaze in near 90-degree heat. >> the wind side trying to make an effort to stop the fire. but conditions deteriorated rapidly. they back out with the defensive operation. >> reporter: because the community does not have

hydrants tankers from four counties were called into pull water from a nearby lake. >> fire fighters ham board by hot water, low water pressure and we did have wind that were blowing around good. we had a few collapses, during the fire. >> reporter: measures were taken to keep fire fighters cool but at least one was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion. >> i'm's in huge. >> reporter: brandon says his grandfather started the lumber yard which is a stapel over the past seven decade. his father and uncle now own it. >> i drove by here, and it was fine. local was there. when i got here an hour before this happened. i don't know what happened. >> it is a lum where yard. there is a lot of wood, paneling, and, you know, combustibles. so, it had a lot of fuel to burn. >> reporter: back out here live we have looking at the medical tent. we have learn that a second fire fighter was taken to the hospital for heat exhaustion and a number of others have been treated here on the scene

for heat-related symptom. fire marshall is on the scene investigating this fire, and right now we do not have a cause, but police, excuse me, fire officials say that cause will hopefully be determined in the near future. we are live in franklin township, jeff chirico for channel six "action news". >> thank you, jeff. last night's heavy rain left behind a lot of problems throughout our area crew where is forced to shut down part of the strawberry mansion bridge overnight after a tree fell blocking the exit to martin luther king drive. down wires were also a problem, so both peco and tree removal crews work through the morning to clear the mess. in center city tree snapped and came down on top of the car in the 1,000 block of south street. no one was inside at the time. as you can see it did cause quite a bit of damage. heavier rains pounded much of maryland this weekend. two people were killed as a result of flooding last night this video was shot in he will cot city in baltimore where people had to form a human chain, to rescue a woman from

delaware, we have dew points in the city in the 70's. that is an oppressive air mass. any thunderstorms we get when that air mass is in place will cause drenching downpours. satellite six with action radar showing most of the viewing area a lull in the action, however, what is going on there is a upper level low that is moving out of ohio, into pennsylvania, and that will be moving right over us, tomorrow. and that will bring us the opportunity for more showers, and then are storms. so this is what to expect. at least next few days. it stays warm. it stays humid. tonight some patchy fog will be developing, and tomorrow, afternoon, some heavier thunderstorms likely. we will time them out for you and let you know when we will get a break from the humidity with the full a accu weather forecast, sarah. >> all right, cecily, thank you. temple university confirms two men allegedly involved in the homicide on friday, in germantown had ties to the police force. former temple police officer aaron wright and markeith robinson are charged with

murder and aggravated assault in connection with the death of wright's girl friend in the 4600 block of green street. the victim's name has not been released. more changes are on the way for regional rail customers. starting tomorrow, passengers will not aloud to buy tickets on board the train during certain hours. the passengers riding between 3:00 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. must show their tics before boarding off fares will be collected or validated before customers go through platform area at temple, jefferson, suburban, 30th street and university city. it is a temporary followcy linked to the shortage o regional railcars this summer. eagles training camp was open to the public at lincoln financial field today. fans got their first chance to check out some rookies as well as that are favorite players. shot by new jersey state troopers inside of his home in deerfield township has been upgraded to stable condition. jerry sykes was hit twice in the chest and once in the groin. the trooper's were responding to a 911 call but responded to the wrong home. sykes apparently thought officers were intruders and grabbed his shotgun. sykes was standing in his living room when police fired four shots. sykes also fired a shot, but not yet clear if one of the troopers was hit or if one of the troopers was cut by flying glass. state attorney general's office has since joined in on the investigation. meanwhile police in philadelphia are investigating an attempted robbery and shooting in the feltonville section from late last night. investigators say two men sitting on their porch on the 4800 block of pale thorpe street when a man key mannedded money. gunman shot the victim once in the chest and then took off. the victim was taken to einstein hospital where he remains in critical condition. a, can bus expert came to philadelphia today to hold a workshop promoting jobs and business opportunities.
