it is a steamy start to the week we're tracking storms. let's get you to the the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. storms how intense are we talking? >> reporter: some of the them could be severe. let's get you outside, we'll start with the humidity. if you have not been outside, you will notice when you go out it's like pea soup again. we had four straight days where the humidity dropped off and you stepped outside and you can breathe for a change. we have high clouds up above. the clouds will give way to showers and thunderstorms later on. temperatures in the upper 70s and close to 80. millville, 79. cape may, 81. and atlantic city, 79 degrees. now, remember dewpoints over the last few days have been in the upper 50s to low 60s. 77 in millville. here's the scale. you get past 65, at that point it doesn't matter any more it's horrible out there.

everybody is in the mid 70s. dover is pushing 80. atlantic city, the dewpoint is up to 73. it's going to be oppressively humid afternoon. high temperatures in the low 90s. combined the two, it will make it feel like the upper 90s. here comes the cold front you will see showers and thunderstorms develop along it. that front moves in the soup and triggers showers and thunderstorms for us. they will be on the stronger side. clouds an sun, late-day showers and thunderstorms after 2:00 p.m., 91 is the forecasted high feeling like 98 and 99. we have cooler numbers in the accuweather forecast. >> 9:01. overnight "action news" obtained video of the moment a metal railing gave way at a concert in camden. we know that 42 people were

hurt. and there you see it, some of the chaos there, a viewer shared the video that shows rose of people crashing several feet down on to concrete some on top of each and every other. chopper 6 hd flew over the scene, snoop dogg and wiz khalifa appeared on temporary stage between the lawn seats and cover seats and fans on the lawn rushed toward them. >> snoop dogg and wiz khalifa moved to the back in the front of the lawn all the people were pushing forward. snop dog was calling -- snoop dogg was calling for people to get near him, the gate fell and everybody fell on top of them. >> everybody fell off the edge. everybody was pushing back, trying to not to go forty, i literally watched everyone fall off. >> abbey fell and became trapped below several people. >> trying to push myself out, i

couldn't move, i was waiting for people to get off me, eventually people did, i got up, my friend was hurt i had to go with her to the er. >> frightening time for fans in camden. abbey said she had some scrapes, her friend needed to stay in the hospital. camden county sheriff is investigating the accident. we turn to the power pows johnny doc dougherty, fbi agents raid the union boss' home and city council member. >> reporter: fbi agents swarmed on john dougherty, all along johnny doc maintains he is has not done anything. >> i've been under scrutiny i don't know why, maybe because i

win too much. >> reporter: johnny doc stood outside as the fbi raided his home and that of his sister in southwest philadelphia. army of agents carried box after box from local 98 union. >> the government has their job, let them do their job. i'm comfortable where they we ae right now. that's it. >> reporter: the probe raids philadelphia city hall. there they raided the office of bobby heenen, a long time protege of johnny dorkt -- dougherty. through the years he has made substantial contribution to a number of politician including jim kenny. the mayor said he knows nothing about the raids. >> i know basically what you know. i don't have any other

information, you can ask the question 20 different ways but there won't be any comment because i don't have any information. >> the dougherty probe reached across the river, "action news" was there as they removed rifles from the km electrical in about berlin, new jersey. a bomb squad was called in because it was believed there were explosive materials. the firm does work for several government agencies among others. last week, they dropped $80,000 for parties for the democratic national convention. >> it would be fair to say they are not fooling around. they have reason to believe that crimes are being committed. they have reason to believe that the severance that they are conducting -- the searches that they are producing will produce

evidence of the crimes. >> reporter: johnny doc dougherty had come on the feds radar ten years ago, but never convicted of a crime. johnny dougherty is accused of attack ago nonunion contractor outside a philadelphia repair shop. the man claims he broke his nose, dougherty has not been charged and denies being the aggressor. we're following this story every step of the way on the our website 6abc.com, check in online throughout the weekend or our 6abc news app and "action news" social media account. 9:06. a montgomery county gymnastic coach is charged with sexually assaulting a girl multiple times. the abuse started when the girl was 8 years old and lasts for three years.

a philadelphia community now rallying around a kensington man after someone stole his wheelchair. "action news" reporter, bob brooks sat down with the victim who has a message for the thief. >> reporter: this is bill dyer, we don't have to explain this, you can see from the video how hard it is to walk around. he fell victim to a freak accident several years ago. >> i was hit by a train. >> reporter: as you would imagine someone like bill relies on his power chair to get around. it is usually chained to this porch railing, the chain was cut two weeks ago, someone stole the power chair. >> it is all my independence. >> reporter: the cost? >> $5,000. >> reporter: that's money he doesn't have and now he is trusting others with the money he does have to get things he needs. >> i'm nervous about giving pin

>> a wildfire that's, but in montana continues to cause destruction there. crews found two more homes that were destroyed by the roaring lion fire. 30 outbuildings and other structures were damaged. it's burned more than 12 square miles and forced the evacuations of hundreds of homes. a father and son got trapped in flooding in their rented u haul truck in scottsdale, arizona. flash flooding spawned by monsoon season trapped dozens of drivers in arizona.

a drier week is in the forecast, that's good news. >> back here at home we're talking heat and rain. >> reporter: and humidity. there's the place to be right there. let's head to the jersey shore today escape the heat and humidity. actually it will be toasty on the sand, too with high temperatures in the upper 80s, you'll get a sea breeze developing later on, so it will feel pretty good. things have cleared out nicely, you had good downpours in cape may county early this morning. now we're seeing breaks in sunshine, the good news the radars are clear. we'll keep an eye to the sky after 2:00 p.m. that's when the cold front starts pushing through, the warm soupy air mass. you'll see an explosion of showers and thunderstorms move through the area southwest to northeast. i'll show you that in a moment on future tracker 6. 80 degrees with a dewpoint of 74. that feels lousy. pressure holding steady. winds out of the of the southwest at 8 miles per hour. 76 in fleetwood, same number for

pottstown, saint david, 75. chester, 78. south and east, low 80s as well. glassboro, 82. vineland, 78. woodbine, 79. sea isle city checking in at 81. you had heavier downpours first thing this morning. all eyes are to the west. here's the cold front. you can see the showers and thunderstorms pepper the front. one east of pittsburgh. more cells east of binghamton and new york. that's the front that will charge east. with the front, once it passes through, tomorrow it will be great, it's warm, but we lose the humidity. the bad news with all the heat and humidity we're seeing right now, as the front interacts with the air mass it will spawn showers and thunderstorms. some of them could be on the hefty side. strong gusty winds and downpours and ton of cloud to ground

radar at 6abc.com/weather. a mayor in virginia is caught in the middle of a bombshell announcement by police. they say he is involved in a mess for sex -- meth for sex bust. he is using meth for sex. police say they saw him buy meth outside the hotel and when he gave the drugs to undercover agents, officers moved in and made the arrest. >> he did not resist, he is compliant, he provided a full confession on everything he did that night. >> two accused meth suppliers were led away in cuffs.

upper 70s north and west, close to 80 degrees along jersey shore. we've updated our dewpoint scale. you can see the top of the screen, 65 we'll call it lousy. 70 is awful, 75 is terrible. philadelphia sitting between awful and terrible this morning. that's what it feels like this morning. the air is very soupy and thick. feels like you can cut it with a knife. very tropical. a lot of that humidity will lead to a ton of instability later this afternoon. with the cold front approaching from the northwest you have all the ingredients needed for a shower on or thunderstorm. if you hear thunder head indoors immediately, because as soon as you hear the thunder you're in close enough range to be struck by listening. 2:00 p.m., 89, 5:00 p.m., 86. when you factor in the humidity, that 89 feels like 96 degrees at

away giving their fans a close up performance on a small temporary stage. fans rushed toward them before the railing fell. >> everybody was running towards as fabs -- fans would do and everybody was crashing into each other, and the railing fell and everybody fell over. >> the concert was canceled 20 minutes after the incident. new at 9:00, rescue crews pulled a man along the schuylkill expressway he was sitting along the riverbank at mlk in fairmont park when he fell into the water. police and marine unit responded to the call. the man was not seriously hurt. the driver of the u haul truck is at the center of an investigation. that man was stopped by state police in the parking lot in the 500 block of city avenue. always troopers approached him he got out and started to run.

lana zack abc news washington. 13 people are dead after a fire tore through a bar in northern france, it started in the normandy. 6 others were hurt. it is not clear what started the fire. japan marked the 71st anniversary of the atomic bombing of hiroshima, 71 years ago, u.s. dropped the atomic bomb in the final days of world war ii. japanese leaders renewed calls moving toward a world free of nuclear weapons. they encouraged world leaders to follow in president obama's footsteps. in may, he became the first sitting u.s. president to visit hiroshima. several people made their voices heard outside chicago police headquarters angry about

officers shooting at a car of an unarmed black teenager who died. >> reporter: watch as the chicago police officer opens the door of his patrol car and raises his gun and opens fire as suspect paul o'neill speeds away in a stolen vehicle. the second angle captures another officer firing. he races down the neighborhood and crashes into a squad car a. o'neill flees on foot, officers chasing him. >> these tense moments from 9 body cam and dash cam videos our first look at how things unfolded on july 28 when the chicago police fatally shot the car robbery suspect. officers are running through backyards and pinning him down and handcuffing him all after an officer shot him in the back. missing from the image, body cam footage of the fatal shot being

transplant initiatives in delaware. okay, back here in the studio, let's get you caught up on the forecast. >> reporter: cool studio, air-conditioning. >> out there it's humid. >> reporter: it's warm, it's soupy and later this afternoon, it just turns down right hot with temperatures in the 90s. feeling like the upper 90s. we get into that mid-july-like heat there's the center city skyline, lots of cumulus clouds upstairs. showers and storms develop later on. for now the radars are clear, but things could get active in a few hours. 91 degrees we're shooting for today. the normal is 86. we're a good five degrees above average. we started out at 76 the normal low is 69. it will be the 26th time this year we've hit 90 degrees or higher. all these 80s feel like 85 or

86. 80 in millville, dover, 81. cape may, 86 degrees. atlantic city, 81. beach haven checking in at 80 degrees. here's satellite even radar, here's the good news with the heat oppressive humidity it lasts one day this time around, unlike the weeks on end like we saw in the middle of july. this is a nice, comfortable air mass up through here, it's a canadian air mass. it will be hot, temperatures close to 90 degrees, but you'll notice the difference because we lose the humidity. for today, as the cold front approaches it travels into the soup, the hot, steamy air mass and showers and thunderstorms fire up after 2:00 p.m. all the humidity is knocked out to sea and it feels better with a lot of the sunshine. let's time it out, future tracker 6, midday all is quiet in and around the immediate philadelphia area. here's the cold front you can see the showers pepper the front. a broken line of showers and

thunderstorms by 3:30 p.m. it's quiet in the city, south jersey and delaware it's stormy north and west for certain locations, not everybody skis it. 5:00 p.m., 35:30 p.m. it closes over the delaware river. not at the shore, but you can see heavy thunderstorms for interior sections of south jersey and hitting the shorepoints by 6:00 p.m., 6:30 p.m. it turns less humid overnight tonight. sunday morning combination of sun and clouds, the entire day. sunday looks really, really nice. later this afternoon keep an eye to the sky. broken line of thundershowers and thunderstorms, cloud to ground lightning strikes and heavy drenching downpours, the storms won't last long, but it could pack a punch. gusty winds possible and maybe small hail. when i saw gusty winds some of the storms could produce winds 50 to 55 miles per hour. humid afternoon storms. 90 in wilmington, philadelphia,
