comparison from the same time yesterday it's almost like night and day. it's 100 times better. the humidity has dropped off. temperatures have fallen into the 50s and 60s north and west. so it feels really, really good. poconos 56 degrees right now. 64 in allentown. reading, 65. lancaster, 63. a nice breeze out of the northwest 5 to 15 miles per hour. only adds to the comfort, millville, 69. philadelphia, 72. and cape may, 74. here's satellite and radar, we've got a nice, big area of high pressure firmly in control. it's planted right over binghamton and buffalo, new york, it will stay there the next couple of days. it will keep outline the humidity sitting on the state line between virginia and north carolina. it returns later this week, but over the next 48 to 72 hours, you guys will be happy with

what's in store for us. high temperatures this afternoon will top out around 90 degrees, but without the humidity it will feel nice. so nice, in fact, look at this, there's the high, 90. the peak index today is 87. it will feel cooler than the air temperatures for a change. real nice stuff to round out the weekend. that heat and humidity returns with a vengeance later this week. we have a couple of nice ones coming up. it turns steamy by wednesday. with the oppressive heat and humidity comes the chance of showers and thunderstorms again. when i come back in just a few minutes we'll focus on that in the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. for now, nydia it feels gorgeous out here. >> all right, chris, thank you. new information came in overnight on an apparent murder suicide in berks county. all the victims from the same family. megan and mark short and their children. investigators say they were

found shot inside the home on winding brook drive. authorities have not said who pulled the trigger or what set off the tragedy. willow short underwent a heart transplant in 2014 when she was less than a week old. the family had trouble obtaining antirejection medication for her. "action news" is learning more on the tragedy that is shaking the town of sinking springs berks county. a man is fighting for his life after he was shot outside his home in west philadelphia. his 3 and 7-year-old children were inside the car when the shots shattered the drivers side window. one bullet critically injured the driver as he was trying to park the car. the shooting happened along the 5500 block of spring street. the children were not hit by gunfire. detectives are looking for the shooter. this morning they are trying to figure out if the victim and his children were targets and if so

why. cam did he know's bb and t pavilion is making changes after a concert. quite the scene there. dozens of fans fell five feet on the concrete or on top of each other as rappers snoop dogg and wiz khalifa performed feet away. 42 people were hurt. the most serious person is out of the hospital. trish hartman has more. >> reporter: "action news" viewer video shows the moment that dozens of people fell from the lawn during the snoop dogg and wiz khalifa concert. one day later concert goers showed up even after the shocking video. >> it was scary, but they got everything taken care of. >> reporter: witnesses say snoop dogg called fans to come closer to the small stage at the front of the lawn as people pressed up against the railing it gave way

of smoke billowing high into the air. firefighters got the call at 1:15 and found the warehouse burning on the 800 block of hilton road. >> fire was visible from the roof. a short time ago, roof contractors were conducting their business on the far right side of the building. the building is being turned into a steel manufacturing plant. firefighters had it under control in 30 minutes containing the damage to the roof. the bigger challenge was the weather. >> the humidity proved to be more difficult than the fire so we had to rotate companies in for additional manpower. >> >> reporter: a company rep said there's water an smoke damage, but nothing that will impact the renovation. jeff chirico channel 6 "action news." >> shifting to the race for

short, his wife megan, and his children,leanna mark and willow. >> a biker was shot dead at a southwest philadelphia gas station while he was leaning against his motorcycle on he ising essington avenue. he was pronounced at the scene. police are questioning witnesses and checking surveillance cameras in the area. they have not released the victim's name. south jersey police are warning residents of a potentially deadly heroin being spread through the area. police had to use narcan. red snow man or superstar is on the heroin. prosecutors urge residents to turn in the heroin.

return. shows went on in camden after a railing collapsed. 42 people were hurt after the rail gave way. all the concertgoers were re-released from the hospital. a fire marshal will be at the show with special attention paid to the collapsed area. starting this week children under the age of two must be strapped into a rear-facing car seat in pennsylvania. governor tom wolf signed the legislation two months ago, but it takes effect friday. itxpands the law requiring children under the age of two to ride rear facing. police will issue a verbal warning, but after that violations will cost $125. jury selection begins in
