a man tells police he shot and killed his brother by accident. how he said the gun went off inside their home in south philadelphia. a power outage is affecting thousands of airline flights around the world. we have the latest from philadelphia international airport. the big story on "action news" this noon, pennsylvania attorney general is on trial. cordello cato -- kathleen kane arrived at the montgomery county courthouse. she is charged with leaking secret grand jury material and lying about it under oath. today both sides are picking jurors to decide on kane's fate of perjury and other charges. john rawlins will have more on "action news" at 4:00 p.m. philadelphia police are investigating a crash with one of are there cruisers. it happened 30 minutes ago. chopper 6 hd is live over 22nd and montgomery avenue.

no word on what caused the crsh and no reports -- crash and no reports of injuries at the scene. the 16-year-old charged with criminally negligent homicide of amy amy francis is k in court today. a family court judge is going to decide if she will be charged as an autopsy. an autopsy determined joiner france sis died from a long-standing heart condition triggered by the assault. two other girls face less charges in the case they will be tried in family court. a man is being questioned after accidentally shooting his brother overnight. it happened on the 2800 block of south 7th street. the victim was hit in the head and died at the scene. the father was home at the time

of the incident. he is being questioned at this hour, no charges have been filed. police are searching for two violent carjackers who shot a driver and stole his vehicle early this morning. katherine scott joins us live from the scene in southwest philadelphia with the latest on the investigation, katherine. >> reporter: rick, we did get some updated information from police. police say the 31-year-old victim was sitting in the car along with a 27-year-old man when one of the suspects walked up to the car and tapped on the window and asked them to get out and talk that turned into fighting and shots were fired at the victims. he was hit multiple times, two systems tooked car and the -- took his car and the victim is in the hospital. today an officer is posted by the 2006 grand prix recovered minutes after a carjacking and shooting. this started before 12:30 a.m.

>> we know that seven shots were fired we found seven spent shell casings on the highway. >> reporter: the victim was hit in the torso and leg. police rushed him to pretty bad hospital in critical condition. his car was found less an a half mile away from the scene of the carjacking. >> police recovered the vehicle within minutes unoccupied about blocks away. >> reporter: and the victim is out of surgery, he remains in the hospital in critical, but stable condition. police are looking for surveillance footage in the area to see if it can help with the investigation. katherine scott channel 6 "action news." rick. >> thank you turning to accuweather it's a nice comfortable start to the workweek. we have a mix of clouds and sun outside, low humidity as we check out the scene from sky6 live hd in center city. meteorologist karen rogers is in

justice center is back open for business yesterday, the cjc was shut down on thursday after an elevator accident sent two people to the hospital. sheriff sergeant paul owens suffered a broken back. beverly smith was treated for minor injuries. experts tested the facilities and made the decision to reopen. delta airline is slowly resuming operations after the computer system crashed worldwide causing delays all around the globe, that included philadelphia. the situation was much worse at delta's main hub in atlanta where a power outage caused the system-wide crash there. thousands were forced to wait in long lines. delta is offering waivers for all passengers affected. in the race for the white house donald trump is turning his focus to the economy.
