good afternoon sara bloomquist is off and in the news police announce charges against a man that allegedly killed his brother in south philadelphia. and homeowners forced to evacuate in a local neighborhood. but the big story is brand new video showing the possible street racing crash that killed a child last night. it took the life of a 3-year-old girl in kensington last evening and police are looking for one vehicle that left the scene. annie mccormick is joining us live from the investigation division. >> reporter: and rick that is right, investigators believe there were two vehicles racing each other and one vehicle ended up hitting a car and hitting a little girl inside. the driver of the striking vehicle is in the hospital and is in custody but they are looking for the driver of the other vehicle and trying to locate the car.

"action news" obtained surveillance video that showed impact of last night's fatal crash, look at that honda accord traveling at a high rate of speed collides with the honda civic, the civic had the green light and inside of this civic a 63-year-old woman and her daughter and 3-year-old granddaughter were flipped around. the 3-year-old ejected from the backseat died at the hop later. and thor driver of the vehicle also in the hospital. >> it appears that the car driving by the male may have been going at a high rate of speed and that they may have been racing another vehicle. >> it's the driver of this vehicle that people want to know more about. they believe it could be a 2008 chevrolet impala. it appears that the driver

careens around the corner barely dodging the flashing light that comes down. they believe the honda and impala may have been racing. >> residents cannot get the sound out of their mind. many here is a that drivers have treated this intersection as a speedway for too long. >> in 30 years i must have seen 200 accidents in that corner, if they don't hit the lights or pole they would hit that bidding right there. >> police are reviewing the surveillance video with the help of local businesses, they believe that the chevy impala has front side damage. as for the occupant, the little girl that died. her grandmother was taken to the hospital in critical condition.

if you have information you are urged to call police. reporting live, annie mccormick, channel 6 "action news." the first witnesses in the perjury trial of pennsylvania's top prosecutor will take the stand today. opening statements ended this morning, a jury of six men and six women are chosen to decide the fate of attorney general, kathleen kane, coming up katherine scott will have a full report. and a man accused of killing his brother in south philadelphia. we told but the shooting on the 2800 block of south 7th street. a man said he accidentally shot his brother inside of the home. today police announced the arrest of the victim's younger brother, carmen. charges with murder and involuntarily manslaughter. multiple row homes are being evacuated in the frankford section of philadelphia.

the homeowners were forced out because their front porches are at risk of collapses. janet reyes joins us live from the scene at melrose street with more on the situation there. >> reporter: just a few minutes ago we saw residents head back into their homes, after they were evacuated several hours ago because of this incident. i want to show you what is going on here now, agencies respond to this incidence and you see the awnings on these homes, most of them collapsed. it happened at 9:30 this morning. and fortunately there was no injuries reported. and peco arrived after the incidence and fixing the power lines that came down with the awnings. license and inspection arrived a few minutes ago and it shows how significant the damage is, but we are told that it's not as significant as they had expected. a neighbor tells me there are concerns about the foundation and the awnings of these homes
