police identified the suspect as jamar kane. there is a warrant out for his arrest s anyone that knows where he is urged to call police. the victim remains at the hospital in critical condition. a popular dining spot in dewey beach is damaged by fire. this is what is left of ed's chicken and crabs. the fire broke out at 12:00 this morning and no one was inside unfortunately and the cause is under investigation. surveillance cameras caught a man stealing a computer in a hospital in south philadelphia. the suspect wandered the halls on july 28th in methodist hospital. he took a desktop computer and walked out. they believe the man is about 22 years old. police want to hear from you if you have information. now philadelphia mourning

police in kentucky are looking for this man and his accomplice and himself on fire over the weekend. and surveillance video shows it's man dropping two molotov cocktails against the building and a second drop there and accidentally lit his leg on fire. the business sustained thousands of dollars in damage. in tennessee doctors say that one of three girls that fell off a ferris wheel at a county fair is still in critical condition with a traumatic brain injury. it happened when the seats they were sitting in fell over. they fell 35 to 45 feet to the ground one witness reported the seat rocking and the two other girls are in stable condition expected to be okay. the park where a 10-year-old boy died on a water slide will be open tomorrow but the

>> reporter: for more none travel related cases were reported in florida, that brings the number to 21. the only area that has local area transmission is this area just north of downtown miami. today florida governor, rick scott, said quote, the federal government must stop playing politics and congress must come back to session and resolve this. florida has been able to move funds to fight zika but it's a national problem. we learned about a case in texas, a baby whose death is lif linked to zika. the disease was contracted overseas. >> it's doctors did the right thing, begin the process of testing -- >> the tests confirmed zika virus. again this is a travel related case. there are no locally transmitted cases in texas.

but they are telling people to get rid of standing water and use insect repellant with deet. a new device could reduce the risk of stroke with heart valve replacement. when they have a tapper replacement particles of tissue and plaque and blood vessels could come loose and go to the brain, reports show there is an 8% risk of this, and doctors in germany says that putting it into the vessel cuts the risk and they want more studies to see if this will reduce the rate of strokes. a new study shows it's not just good for your kids but it can help adults to live longer. a team at yale university analyze the results following 3500 adults for 12 years. they found that those that read 3.5 hours per week were 17% less likely to die in that 12 week

a beach is closed in scotland after an oil rig was blown ashore by strong winds, right now crews are working to secure the rig and send it out to sea. it became detached from the tug towing it and a strong wind brought it to shore. no one was on board but the rig is carrying nearly 90,000

time for a check of the accuweather forecast at the "action news" big board. cecily tynan has the latest and in fact folks at the shore are finding relief. >> today is a great day to be on the beaches, we are live on sky 6 hd atlantic city kind of spying on people enjoying the weather, near the water or in the water, will be a great place to be over the next few days, because the heat will really be cranking up. right now cape may 82 degrees and atlantic city airport 84, having a sea breeze and philadelphia 88 and allentown 87 and wilmington 83 degrees, satellite 6 along with action radar showing that we started the day with bright sunshine and now we have clouds beginning to stream up from the south and west. right now the thickest cloud cover is down to the south and west in maryland and virginia. that is rolling in overnight and with it comes increased

humidity. if you head up to musikfest, tonight boston is the headliners, it will be pretty nice and a mild night and increasing clouds and getting muggy late tonight and 9:00, 79 and 11:00, 77 degrees, you see something in the air mass tomorrow. sky conditions are not as bright as today. future tracker 6 showing by 7:00 in the morning lots of clouds and a few spotty showers, heading into the afternoon it will be unsettled. this means showers and thunderstorms will be developing likely moving up to the poconos later on in the evening. this is when we get breaks in the clouds, and that helps the temperature climb up to 90 degrees and it feels hotter than that because of the dew points. they will be in the mid-70s not just tomorrow but the next five days, and the heat index climbing up to 95 to 105, that is dangerously hot with it scattered showers and

thunderstorms. any thunderstorms will have vivid lightning and heavy downpours and the peakst heat is thursday through saturday, and the national weather service issued a heat watch for all the counties bordering i-95, this is where the heat index climbs into the triple digits, you will want to take it easy, this is our fifth heat wave, the first four to stay cool you'll want to do it again. a high of 90 degrees tomorrow and on thursday it gets hotter and more humid and 93 if you head to the eagles preseason game. the heat index is in the 90s, drink lots of water and friday 94 and saturday up to 95 and a heat index above 105, and sunday still in the 90s and relief is on the way next week and i'll let you know when if the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast. >> thank you. we'll take a quick break and more news when we come right back.

it started when the roofs of several row homes collapsed. 10 people were told to get out of their houses as a precaution. lni and peco was called. a man is behind bars after trying to meet up with a teenage boy to have sex. the suspect is 44-year-old charles christman of norristown. police say he used the web to arrange an encounter with a person he believed was a 14-year-old boy. in reality it was an undercover agent. he is now held on $500,000 bail. from our new jersey newsroom, we have learned the names of the two people killed in a car accident in burlington county. 78-year-old blackwell albertson and jean albertson died on route 70 in pemberton township.

albertson was driving and lost control and hit a tree. he died at the scene and his wife died a short time later. the activist known as the knowledge weed man is facing an 11 count indictment. charges include possession and inten to distribute. mercer county narcotics searched his restaurant on east state street back in april. during the search authorities say they seized more than $19,000 worth of marijuana. the 52-year-old is free on bail and will be in court on thursday. an allege said drug dealer is facing a -- aubry spencer was arrested on the 400 block of robinson drive. they found cocaine and marijuana and almost $4,000. he is charged with endangering the welfare of three children. he is now out on bail. a man carrying a backpack

filled with fireworks walked into penn square and was walked out in handcuffs. the man made some sort of threat and everyone was forced to evacuate. the department of homeland security cleared the scene a short time later and everyone was allowed back into the building. a massachusetts community remains on edge tonight following the apparent murder of a young female runner found dead in the woods. police in princeton got hundreds of tips and are urging everyone to take extra precautions. >> reporter: a murder mystery in massachusetts now has some women carrying mace for protection. >> this is very scary. >> we keep our doors locked now. we don't always have to do that here. >> for this to happen we are shocked. >> residents are stunned as police continue to search for a killer. >> a young woman that appears to be a murder victim and you can't

be too careful. >> that victim, vanessa marcot out jogging never made it home. they say she was a victim of sexual assault and had burns on parts of her body. >> very disturbing. that is vicious. >> marcot lived in new york where she worked as an account manager for google. she was in massachusetts visiting her mother until authorities determine if this was a random or targeted homicide, they are asking the public to stay vigilant. >> this is a half mile in a rural area, i would not even call it a sub division, who would be there? who would know about that jogging route just a half mile from her mom's home. it has to be a local. >> for now police say they don't have a motive or suspects but an autopsy is being performed so they can learn how she died.

high, thin clouds moving in and still seeing filtered sunshine and that is with the warm front that brings us winds from the southwest and that brings the humidity first and then the oppressive heat. so the next 1 12 hours you feel the air mass. dew points are raising up into the 70s and warm overnight low 70 in the lehigh valley and 73 for center city. and could have an isolated late storm and then a steam bath. the next five days. this high pressure is a classic bermuda high heat pump it's just sitting there and pumping in the winds from the southwest. that is a tropical air mass, you combine that with temperatures of 90s and the heat index, 95 to 105, and it's also going to be unsettled. we don't have any large scale trigger to bring us large storms and weak disturbances are moving through making it possible to
