operators are taking calls until 8:00 tonight. pennsylvania attorney general, kathleen kane says she will resign. this comes a day after a perjury conviction. john rawlins live tonight. you spoke to the man that will temporarily take over as pennsylvania attorney general. >> that is right rick, he is a familiar face to people in the philadelphia area, former montgomery county d.a. bruce caster he is the man that steps in for the interim here when kane steps down tomorrow he is the acting attorney general of the state of pennsylvania. kane brought him into the office to run the legal side of things. bruce caster was asked if he advised kane to step down and he only asked her this afternoon. >> thought it would be difficult to remain in light of the developments in montgomery county.

cecily is back for the heat wave, the seventh day of the year. >> tomorrow eight days, the longest of the years and that could extend through the weekend with temperatures near 90. we have storms out there. stormtracker 6 live double scan showing the storms are really starting to fall apart and nothing severe now, there is one cell working through chester county. it's heading just to the south of route 1, 19 lightning strike as associated with that. it's pushing north and east at 5 miles per hour. and one little isolated cell in northern ocean county right now, heading toward the garden state parkway and moved through lakehurst and lake wide. just a heavy downpour. and light rain in the delaware valley right now. mt. pocono and reading rain

cooled in the 70s. philadelphia 93 degrees and millville 90 and trenton 89 and atlantic city airport 90 degrees and factor into the dew points, it feels like 104 in philadelphia and feels like 106 in millville and 104 in dover. the dew points will be dropping tomorrow but the heat is sticking around. satellite 6 along with action radar showing that this line of thunderstorms i am tracking since 4:00 beginning to fall apart. this is known as a prefrontal trough, jim gardner likes that term. we have the actual cold front across the ohio valley, that moves through in the wee hours of the morning. what will happen behind it, tomorrow inland dew points drop into the 70s, it won't be quite as intense but tonight an isolated thunderstorm is possible and warm and muggy and 73 to 79 degrees and tomorrow day eight of the heat wave, 92 degrees and still humid but not as oppressive as today.
