tonight is allegations of sexual abuse by a man people trusted. a medic, volunteer firefighter and assistant boy scout leader. and bob brooks is at the chester county's d.a. office tonight and the authorities are worried there that i -- that there may be several victims. >> there might be. we're still waiting for that information. what we do know for sure this was a calculated attack on at least one child, and the suspect again went through the boy scouts to do this. a man charged with crimes targeting our community's most vulnerable, our children. now under arrest by the police. hogan says it was the bravery of his victim who helped put a stop to him. >> this victim is very strong. he actually realized, after some time had gone by, that he needed to report this. >> he is now accused of some of

the worst crimes against kids including sexual assault and indecent assault of a minor under 13 years old. here's where it gets even worse. the police report states that the victim advised that he met the defendant while the defendant was an assistant boy scout leader. hogan says the boy scouts are handling the situation accordingly. >> chester county boy scouts are a strong organization and they responded just wait they should, that is they are notifying the kids, the members and parents involved, stepping up and doing the right thing. >> he is not surprised to hear him use the scouts to do this. >> that's typical for someone that is a child predator. they will go and put themselves in sways e es -- situations whe they have access to children. >> and they say he admitted to everything. after waiving his miranda rights the defendant admitted to all of

>> thank you. other news, a source tells axe -- "action news" it is a former boyfriend in custody for the killing of a woman whose body was stuffed in a trash can. miprecious hoskins found and she was shot several times. and they were at a nearby house collecting evidence and what appeared to be a pair of gloves. a suspect in custody for a shooting killing a father in germantown last month. alsharay ford drove through a raging gunbattle on germantown avenue while his 3-year-old daughter was in the back seat. he was struck by a bullet amid the cross fire and the little girl not hit. and charges against the suspect and still looking for a second shooter. the philadelphia police and f.b.i. are looking for this woman who they say tried to rob a pnc bank. it happened at the branch at i

street 1:00 tuesday afternoon. the woman ran off empty-handed and a reward offered for her capture. bucks county district attorney announced he is resigning two weeks from now. his term would have ended january of 2018. he has been on the job since 2010. the county judges will select a fill-in until the voters elect a new d.a. next year. and bruce beamer nominated to take over the pennsylvania attorney general. he is consider recently the state's inspector general. he was once the top deputy for kathleen kane but testified againster in trial. he will need to be confirmed by the senate. republican bruce castor took over as acting attorney general when kane we signed yesterday. our eight-day heat wave finally at an end. philadelphia topped out at 88 degrees today, but temperatures are going to jump back up tomorrow and we could be in for yet another heat wave next week. meteorologist cecily tynan will be along shortly with the

>> more than 80,000 people already registered for disaster assistance from this week's flooding in louisiana. and the waters have yet to completely recede. homeland security secretary johnson looked at the relief efforts today, as did the chief of the national guard. he is proud of the response of the guard members to the flooding, but knows there are weeks of tough work ahead. firefighters made the biggest gains yet against a wildfire raging 60 miles east of los angeles. the so-called blue-cut fire 22% contained up from 4% earlier today. containment lines established on the eastern side where some residents are allowed back in their homes. about 80,000 remain evacuated and an unknown number of homes destroyed. >> and meanwhile, three bush fires from broken out in other california counties. and a moment in time

entire first half but the first-team offense does not score a touchdown. the required receiver, beckham gets in the game in the third quarter. he is 6'6", they have to throw higher for him. and then the eagles win easily 17-0 the final. and jeff skversky live with the post-game reaction. jeff? >> hey ducis. the eagles' quarterback sam bradford wanted to get in a rhythm and played the entire first half. he had every opportunity. but bradford and the offense for punts only three points. zero touchdowns not to mention 54 yards of penalty. so far in the preseason drives bradford yet to throw a touchdown. is the quarterback concerned? >> not really concerned at all. you want to other and touchdowns but it didn't happen.

i thought we did some really good things out there and that's why it's the preseason. but i don't think there is a lot of concern for me right now. >> it's not the end of the world for me. i know what they are doing in practice, and the reps we are giving our guys. we don't put a lot of game planning into games like this. next week we will treat differently going into the third preseason game. >> and how about the defense, seven interceptions in two preseason games, a big reason why this team is undefeated. let's remind everyone that the preseason games don't count. a few more weeks to go until the regular season. live in pittsburgh jeff skversky
