bob. >> reporter: rick good evening that is not exaggeration, this is a true act of heroism. at one point the truck this little boy was trapped in was on fire and so hot others ran away and our hero stayed and did not give up on this child and as a result he saved his life. it's video that is scary to even look at. a major accident at an intersection in glasgow a 18-wheeler collided with a pickup truck. the truck exploded into flames. the doors are twisted and jammed from the impact, everyone is trapped inside including a six-year-old little boy. that is when good samaritan alotto sprung into action. >> joe the guy i work for he said looked like somebody is stuck inside the car. >> reporter: it was the six-year-old others saw and knew and time was running out. >> several people trying to pull him out of the car. >> reporter: he noticed a fire

extinguish from the tractor-trailer that didn't work so he used it as a hammer. >> i saw the fire extinguish and picked it up. >> reporter: the boy's leg was stuck and the flames were getting so big others ran away but alotto did not. started backing out with the car and i don't know what it was i just didn't want to leave the car, the kid, it was the kid's life and i don't know what it was, i just didn't want to leave the car. >> reporter: thankfully an officer showed up with a working extinguish and the two saved the day. >> sprayed down the back and might have lubricated the child's leg and the officer grabbed aheld and i grabbed a hold and pulled the child out of the car and gave him a hug because i was happy he was out. i was scared. i didn't know you know what was going to happen from there. >> reporter: and certainly happy that alotto was there to save
