is back in the courtroom today. there's new information about a stabbing inside a popular restaurant in old city. but the big story on "action news" this noon is a deadly home invasion. police say a father was shot and killed in front of his children. it happened early this morning at a home on north 7th street in hunting park. chad perdelli is live from the scene with the full details. chad. >> reporter: sarah within the last hour police have released the name of the father who was shot and killed overnight. his name was akeem rockmod. he has a history of a criminal background. police say the two entered the home through the back window and confronted the husband and wife. >> they demanded money and they

shot both victims. >> reporter: 6 children in the home, one in the bedroom when the shooting took place. none was injured. the father died from a gunshot wound in the stomach. the woman was shot in the face and arm. >> this witness did not want her face shown. you heard her saying no, no, no. >> reporter: investigators have other leads that could point to the killers. >> we believe that the shooter is a known to the 35-year-old homeowner who was shot and killed. we have a nickname. >> reporter: and the name of that surviveing gunshot victim has not been released she is in at temple university hospital in critical condition. chad perdelli channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. traffic has been backed up all morning long on 476 in

delaware county because of a deadly crash. this is what it looked like from chopper 6 hd around 10:00 a.m. the crash happened in the southbound side near cardinal o'hara drive in springfield. the mri -- the police say the driver was killed. philadelphia police release information about the stabbing inside a restaurant and bar in old city. the victim died from his injuries, stabbed inside the blue martiniy second at market early saturday morning. police say he was at a table when an argument was started. he was stabbed in the neck with an unknown object. police have not made any arrest and the investigation is on going. convicted child molester, jerry sandusky will be in court for day two of a three day appeals hearing. he wants his child molestation conviction overturned. he argued that the defense attorneys did not do an adequate job during the first trial.
