>> reporter: absolutely, gray, yet another indecent assault police say a man on a bike groped a woman overnight in the 1600 block of bainbridge street less than a week after police put out a plea to the public asking for help in catching a serial assailant. >> it's concerning, it's sad, i don't walk by myself at the time of the night. even during the day i try to to be aware of my surrounding. >> it's concerning and unfortunate, disgusting, actually. >> reporter: folks who live in south philadelphia have their guards up after learning a woman was groped in the 1600 block of bainbridge street on the way home from work. on wednesday, last week, philadelphia police released surveillance video showing the man they believe is behind four other assaults this month. police say the hispanic man in his 20s with a stocky built comes up along side a woman

touching her inappropriately. in all the cases he was on a bike and the victims were wearing dresses. we're waiting to hear if the incident is connected. the woman was assaulted by a hispanic man on a bike. >> i have one of those pick mace protecter, i don't always carry it. >> i try to keep my eyes peeled, because everything on the news, being a women we are sometimes targeted. >> reporter: lots of concerned neighbors in the area. if anyone has any information on the crimes you're asked to contact the philadelphia police and the special victims unit. trish hartman channel 6 "action news." >> trish, thank you for the update. a woman is in extremely critical condition after she was hit by a car while trying to walk across the boulevard. the action cam at the scene, the

boulevard past rising sun avenue in the feltonville section of the city. a buick was heading north and ran into the roam at 2:30 a.m., the impact sent the victim flying. police have questioned the driver, but so far no charges have been filed. police arrested a man in connection with an early-morning shooting in front of a northeast steak shot. a man riding a motorcycle was shot in the head outside steve prince of steaks on 0 comely road. police say an actor -- argument led to the shooting. the victim was taken to the hospital in critical, but stable condition. when they arrived on the scene they found several men holding another man who they said shot the biker. >> one man is dead and another fighting for life after a double shooting. this happened in north philadelphia. police taped off the crime scene on the 1700 block of north

newkirk street last night. both men were shot in the chest, one died at the hospital. the other we are told is in critical condition. so far no arrests have been made and police are searching for a motive. 12:06, the family of gabriel carter is pleading for information to come forward in connection wither death. she was caught -- with her death. she was caught in the crossfire of a shooting last week. there was a vigil at the home. gabby's family appealed to those in the crowd who are afraid to tell police what they know about the shooters and her mother described her beautiful child to the crowd. >> everybody who did not know gabby, gabby, she loved to read and write and sing may bobby was

a strong person and very strong. i don't know what i am going to do. she is in a better place. >> a mother and a community heartbroken. >> that reward for information leading to an arrest increased from 5,000 to $24,000 over the past few days. now, we turn our attention to the race for 2016. democratic vice presidential nominee tim kaine campaigns in the lehigh valley this weekend. hillary clinton received her first national security briefing this weekend. while donald trump went on the defensive. >> reporter: hillary clinton spent two hours at an fbi office in white plains new york not answering e-mail questions, but getting her first top national security briefing as a presidential candidate. abc news revealed e-mails while

[laughter] let's show you what's going on as we look live in old city. it's shaping up to be a fairly nice afternoon, the humidity levels have come down from where they were this morning. we're seeing sunshine, temperatures are heating up quickly, but we have lost the oppressive humidity. all in all, not too bad. double scan live is clear, 85 degrees, dewpoint 63. that number was closer to 70 this morning. pressure 30.25 inches holding steady. winds are out of the northeast at 3 miles per hour. the ocean temperature now up to 75 that's not bad, either. northeast winds are helping to drop the humidity down. once the winds shift out of the east or southeast that's when the humidity starts increasing. that will happen overnight tonight into tomorrow. mid 80s for everybody, the exception to that rule is the poconos at this hour where they

are showing 77 degrees, with a dewpoint of 59. it feels good up there. 65 is humid, 70-plus is oppressive. a lot of 50s and 60s to the north. slightly humid conditions up here, all in all it feels good. upper 60s and low 70s to the southeast. those numbers will tail off during the late afternoon. 3:30, 60 in philadelphia. 59 in allentown, and 65 in millville. everybody will feel a little bit better as we get into the late afternoon and early evening hours. satellite and radar, not too much to talk about in the short term, crystal clear, at least sky conditions-wise, from washington, d.c. to maine as high pressure continues to dominate the weather pattern. all of a sudden this guy forms. this is tropical depression 8. here's the island of bermuda, and north carolina, you can see the explosion in thunderstorm activity. the good news the center of circulation is displaced from the thunderstorms. in order for this guy to

strengthen, those thunderstorms have to wrap around the center of circulation. as long as the storm is raggedy like this, it should not intensify all that much. right now we're forecasting it will become a tropical storm and head closer to the u.s. mainland before heading out to sea. the reason why it's heading out to sea we have a canadian cold front sliding through wednesday night into thursday morning. that will help to bump this off the coast. if the front gets hung up or slows down it could make a direct landfall across the carolinas and move north. the good thing you see how all these lines are together, every model agrees it will make a rnld turn and head -- right hand turn and head out to sea. the jersey shore will see the increased risk of rip currents. 90 in allentown. trenton, 89. millville, 888 shorepoints, 82

groper struck again. trish hartman is live in south philadelphia with the latest on this one. what are you learning? >> reporter: we're waiting to hear from police if this is the same suspect. overnight a man groped a woman on bainbridge street and fled after four other similar incidents this month in the city. >> i must confess as i've been walking around recently, i've been hearing the reports i've been aware of anyone riding on the sidewalk or near the sidewalk. >> reporter: martha says she has been keeping her eyes peeled after finding out that philadelphia police are looking for a man groping women in the city. a woman walking home from work was groped by a hispanic male who fled on a mountain bike in the 1600 block of bainbridge

street. last week, the investigators released surveillance video they believe is the suspect responsible for assaults in august. no those cases police are looking for a hispanic man in his 20s with a stocky build wearing a black and orange backpack. he comes along a woman and touches her inappropriately. in three of four cases he is on a bike and targets women wearing dresses. we talked to folks about the most recent assault. >> not overly concerned, i always try to to be careful later in the night. >> reporter: again, we are still waiting to hear if the latest case is connected to the others, if you think you have any information on any of these crimes, contact the special victims unit of philadelphia

police. trish hartman channel 6 "action news." >> a gunman fired at least seven shots at the driver of a car in north philadelphia hitting the victim once in the head. the action cam was at the scene shortly after 2:00 a.m. where the bullet riddled audi seven came to a stop germantown avenue near erie avenue. police stopped the victim noticing bullet holes in the windshield and drivers side store. the injured man is in stable condition with a graze wound. he does not know who shot him. two people are in the hospital after three car crash in northeast philadelphia, the action cam at harbison and bustleton avenue. the cars slammed into each other about midnight. those in the hospital we are told do not have life threatening injuries, police are trying to determine the cause of the accident. investigators in salem county, new jersey are trying to determine what sparked the house fire that claimed the life of a mother. the fire started early yesterday morning on north 7th street

near gibbons street. tasha root was inside and did not make it out. >> it's what you always fear as a firefighter to have a family member, calls i know what the fire will do. >> reporter: roots leaves behind two sons, including an 18-year-old who started his freshman year of college last week. we're following breaking news coming in from chicago this noon. police have just charged two brothers with first degree murder in the shooting death of nba star dwyane wade's cousin. police plan to release information later on today, but they say the suspects have criminal records. abc's eva pilgrim has more on the senseless act of violence. >> reporter: 32 ikea old --

it over to the track. right now it has winds 35 miles per hour. moving to the west at 9 miles per hour and the pressure is 1,009 milabars. the gulfstream is right here. it is forecasted to slow down, my worry it slows down over the gulf and it explodes. the forecast models take it out to sea and over the open waters of atlantic city. look how close it gets to the outer banks of north carolina before it makes the rnld -- right hand turn. this is tuesday afternoon it will get closer over the next couple of days. it gets kicked out by a canadian cold front and shoved out to sea. we'll of watch this over the next a couple of days, once it hits the gulf waters things change rapidly. mostly sunny, higher than normal risk of rip currents for the
