injury. dann cuellar spoke with the officer last night. >> reporter: 25-year-old christopher dorman is back on the job and as far as he is concerned not soon enough. >> i'm not good at sitting around. >> reporter: it's remarkable when you think he was shot seven times back on june 24. >> i'm shot in the face. >> reporter: dorman was responding to a routine call police get everyday, someone was smoking and selling drugs, but down at a island had just gotten out of federal prison and had no intention of going back. >> i'm shot, i'm shot, i'm shot. >> reporter: dorman was shot once in the chest, four times in the leg and once in the face. the chief said this guy is the real deal. >> if he wants to come back

44th time this year that we've hit 90 degrees or higher in the city of philadelphia. on average we should see 27 of those days, the accuweather prediction is 32. we knew this was going to be a hotterrer than normal -- hotter than normal summer to begin with. where this ranks all time, currently we're 6th in terms of the number of 90 degrees days. summer of 2010 we saw 55 days, 53 in in 1991. the closest one in our path right now is 2002, 46 degrees. today will be 45. we have day 46 coming wednesday, we'll have to wait and see if we get another day of 90 after that. looks like temperatures will start to cool on a more consistent basis as the pattern becomes more progressive. it means frontal systems will

street. nobody was hurt, and peco is investigating. police believe a domestic duty led to a shootout in west philadelphia. officers responded to south millic street. a woman opened the door and the suspect behind her started shooting at police officers. that woman was shot in the arm and managed to escape from the home. she was taken to the hospital. police say several people were inside at the time including children. >> we were concerned about the people inside, you had four children inside, i don't know their ages and you had two adults that were inside. >> well, the suspect's mother was inside the home. she helped police negotiate with him, when swat members interested they found the -- entered they found the suspect shot in the leg. he is in the hospital in police
