school lockdown. there were four homicides and 10 shootings across the city. they watched a man with a gun approach a man in his 40s. >> he started running and picked up the gun and the victim ran and pulled out the weapon and shot one time and he fell. >> a man shot in the head before lunch time in farewell park, the victim thought to be a vendor selling supplies. police say that the shooter roared off in an old chevy monte carlo. >> people die every day man. that ain't cool man. it's suppose to be the city of brotherly love. where the love at? this is messed up this is a park i seen a bunch of kids playing here and you know there is gunshots everywhere. >> this after a day after the city saw multiple shootings and

tax in philadelphia. the tax is set to take effect in january. but they beverage association filed a lawsuit to block it. they say they unfairly tax drinks based on their size rather than their price. the city is ready to vigorously defend the tax. a 5-year-old died in a nasty three car crash in northampton county. three other people were hurt including a 3-year-old girl and police are investigating if alcohol played a role. walter perez is live in allentown where some victims are still in the hospital. >> reporter: the crash shut down that crash of eastbound i-87 for 11 hours this morning and that pales in comparison to the youngster now identified as

5-year-old rayvon robinson. a driver lost control of her vehicle while traveling east on i-78 in lower pennsauken. that is when she hit a guardrail ejecting her three passengers. the nissan careened back on to the roadway it was hit by two other vehicles traveling eastbound, the police arrived on the scene and they found open alcoholic containers inside of the nissan versa. >> it's unclear who was drinking and until that is followed up on, with blood tests and investigation. >> walton, stevens and the 2-year-old girl were seriously injured and the 5-year-old boy was killed. the police chief says that this crash is especially heart

it is being called a violent intentional act, attack against police officers in phoenix, arizona. 44-year-old mark pane is behind bars without bond accused of trying to rundown three police officers. this disturbing surveillance video shows the moments that pane drives directly foo the officers right inside of a gas station. the police chief says he hit two of the officers and collided into a police car and then crashed into the store. one officer flew eight feet in the air, the third officer that jumped out of the way of the car was injured as what was described as a violent struggle. >> the suspect gets on top of our officers, jeremy the first day out of the squad gets propelled into the glass and gets up and gets into a fight

student to stop playing with what she thought was a candy wrapper. the boy did and then started playing with it again, when it's teacher went to take it away she realized it was heroin. >> that is kevin davis, he has two grandchildren with the school. >> like everyone he is heard broken to hear this. it wasn't just one bag, on further inspection, detectives found 29 additional packets of heroin inside of his bunch box. >> thank god he did not give it to another student. >> the boy was taken to a local medical center and tested negative to opioids, we tried to speak to the school but were kept out. they released this, they are following the procedures specified by the law. to handle this matter. >> parents are not putting the
