after "action news." and a shooting outside of a philadelphia elementary school. in kensington this morning it's just the latest in a rash of violence across the city. john rawlins is live now with details on this. >> reporter: monica, it's been a hectic day and a half for philadelphia police investigators the latest incident the shooting victim was across the street from the school and assaulted by a gunman that later fled in an older model chevy monte carlo. >> it was so sudden. >> the young man came up with the gun -- >> he came up with the gun and started running -- victim ran and pulled out the weapon and shot one time -- >> angelo skinner says he never saw such violence close up. the victim thought to be a vendor selling bathroom supplies. police say he was shot in the back of the head. the latest mayhem.
