community to come forward with answers and we've seen the reward for information on gaby's killer rise to more than $75,000 and now today police say they've made an arrest. >> tyhan brown was located early this morning by the united states marshals down in tennessee clarksville tennessee. i was taken into custody. >> reporter: meals say 18-year-old tyhan brown was staying at a relative's home in clarksville tennessee two days after a warrant was issued law arrested without incident and now faces a first degree murder charge. today the camden county police chief says he always believed it was just a matter of time before they would have someone in custody. >> we are a big little city. everyone in the city is related in some way shape or form or they know each other. >> reporter: the streets talk and it was those whispers that helped lead them to their firings break in the case. earlier this month police

arrested the suspect's mother shack key he ya' land and natasha gerald. both are facing charges for falsifying alibis and hindering the investigation. though grateful to police gaby's mother says it does little to consult her. >> i feel like it was good there they got them but nothing's going to change the fact my daughter is gone and i have a loss. >> reporter: melissa carter phillips who says she knows brown didn't intend to kill her daughter will these words to say to him. >> this is a innocent child. you know, it was an accident. i know you weren't trying to harm my child, you know. wrong place at the wrong time but i would have felt more comfortable of the person just coming out and just saying that. >> reporter: and officials did make those repeated pleas for the community to give them any information on the killer the chief tells me ultimately 33 didn't get much from the community specifically those who may have known something about this shooting death. as far as the extradition of brown, police say that it all

depends on tennessee state laws on this. reporting live in camden, jeanette reyes channel6 "action news." >> thank you jeanette. the bomb squad destroyed a suspicious item found outside a firehouse in center city this afternoon. chopper6 was overhead as they blew up a device in the 2100 block of market street. the firehouse was evacuated and several blocks of market street were slut down when the discovery was made about 3:00 this afternoon. "action news" has since learned the item was a pipe that fell off a construction truck. police say they're actually trying to locate 18 other pipes there may also have fallen off that truck. a boyfriend has now been cleared in the brutal slashing death of a woman in southwest philadelphia last night. police say they do have some new leads though in the murder of natasha gibson. the delaware county woman was killed outside her friends' home in cold blood. "action news" reporter chad pradelli live outside the yeadon police department with an update. chad. >> reporter: monica, yesterday yeadon police named mark epps a person of interest

in this case. today he was cleared but police have released surveillance video of a man with whom they want to speak. yeadon police are now calling this man a person of interest in the killing of natasha gibson. this is surveillance video taken from a beer store at 59th and katherine in philadelphia. he rummages through his pockets appears a bit unsteady then buys a beer. detectives believe gibson was killed about an hour earlier. police say a k-9 unit traced the man to the store by following the blood trail that extended 1.8 miles from the crime scene. police believe the killer likely cut himself while slashing gibson's throat. >> i heard a loud -- somebody talking loud but it didn't last long. >> reporter: joan holiday lives three doors down from where gibson's body was found on the sick hundred block of bailey. she is startled by the killing that happened just a half block from the police station. >> it's really scary, so i don't know, you just have to be careful wherever you go now.

>> reporter: investigators initially called gibson's boyfriend mark epps a person of interest but cleared him after a lengthy interview. now police are hoping someone recognizes this man. his face is not clear but detectives want you to take a close look at his clothing. police recovered the suspected murder weapon from a storm drain in philadelphia not far from where the video was taken. and if you have information about that man, you're urged to call yeadon police or the delaware county criminal investigations division. i'm live in yeadon, clad pradelli channel6 "action news. monica. >> thank you chad. authorities have now charged two people after a little five-year-old boy brought 30 packets of heroin to school. trenton police arrested the child's father maurice leonard and his girlfriend tur ya' justice. a teacher discovered the heroin in the child's lunch box at the national academy of trenton charter school. the five-year-old was taken to the hospital but tested negative for drugs in his system.

three people were injured in a crash that shut down a stretch of the blue route for six hours. this accident involved a tractor-trailer and three cars. it happened in the northbound lanes in lower merion township. police say three people were trapped in the wreckage and had to be rescued. a medical helicopter landed on the road to take the victims to area hospitals. they are in serious condition tonight. the highway reopened just before the morning rush. the government's star witness in the bridgegate trial took the stand today. david wilk stein testified. wildstein said he and baroni often talked about the one constituent rule referring to christie as the only person they needed to serve. wildstein also testified he considered himself the bad cop who would push christie's agenda at the port authority of new york and new jersey. he pleaded guilty last year to orchestrating traffic jams on the george washington bridge back in 2013. faculty and coaches at 14

state universities in pennsylvania have set a strike date now. the union says its members will strike october 19th if a new contract is not reached. during negotiations this week the pennsylvania state system of higher education proposed raising faculty pay by 12 percent. the union's president says that they remain at odds on a number of other proposals including faculty workload. a political controversy is splitting loyalties among some police in philadelphia tonight. the guardian civic league which represents african-american officers has a beef with the fop. that's because the fraternal order of police is endorsing donald trump for president. vernon odom has more on this division among officers. >> we denounce the national fop for endorsing donald trump. >> reporter: the leaders of the the guardians the 2500 member organization of black police officers rails against the national fop. gop nominee's divisive rhetoric is helping fuel the
