ohio and i heard about the orchestra for years and years this is my first time to see it so yeah i was very disappointed. >> i was a little upset you know as a singer myself i understand musicians have to eat so if they are not coming to terms with them and giving respectable pay then i understand why. >> there was a last-ditch effort to try to strike a deal, both sides said they were close. >> we came very close to finding a deal and our musicians decided it wasn't quite enough and decided to walk out. >> the orchestra offered a three year deal that would boost starting pay from the current 127,600 a year to a minimum 135,000. ♪ but the union says that falls far short of the 152000 boston musicians make. and that over time philadelphia will lose top talent to other orchestras. >> we have usually been around boston salary and at this point in time without better increases

we would be as much over a 30 year career a musician would be 1.8 million behind the boston symphony member. >> no scheduled talks until next tuesday, no scheduled concerts for this weekend. performances on saturday and sunday have been cancelled because of the walk out. live in center city john rawleins channel six action news monica. >> thank you john someone was shot tonight during a home invasion in delaware county happened at 7:30. the action cam was on the scene as pennsylvania state police troopers investigated in the unit block of north penal middle town township, authorities releasing few details of the circumstances of the shooting or the identity of the person shot. philadelphia's police commissioner is concerned tonight over the number of shots fired at a violent suspect on wednesday night. 32-year-old christopher sole was killed after a stabbing and slashing spree that injured five people including three children.
