officers confronted him, they say they ordered to take his hands out of pocket. when he did so abruptly, 9 officers fired 109 times. >> for him, it's still unreal, the thing he did to his own kid, but in the end, it wasn't fair that the cops shot an unarmed man that many times. >> commissioner ross said he is concerned about the number of shots that were fired, he believes that may have been a case of contagious or reactionary fire, it is when one officer shoots and others believe they are under fire and fire their weapons, as well. >> investigators are looking into what caused the new jersey

transit train tragedy. the engineer has been interviewed. >> reporter: beneath a massive tangle of steel and glass, crucial evidence in the train crash that killed one person and injured 114 others. >> because of the asbestos and the unsettled structures we're unsure about i'm not allowing anybody to go in there. >> reporter: the sheer extent of the wreckage in hoboken, new jersey is keeping the ntsb from and go the main part of the crash. trapped down there, an event recorder and forward facing camera. officials want to know how fast the train was going and if the brakes were used before it slammed into the station. investigators have one recorder one kept at the back of the train. investigators did speak with the engineer 48-year-old thomas gallagher, but there are no

details on the meeting. preliminary drug and alcohol tests came back negative. witnesses say the train was going three times faster than normal as it approached the platform. the impact so violent that part of the station ceiling collapsed raining debris on the hundreds of people standing around waiting. while ntsb want to get access to more of the wreckage, they are interviewing witnesses. >> we want to find out not only what happened, but why it happened so we can prevent it from happening again. a trolly carrying wedding guests flipped over near dewey beach. the jolly trolley wrecked on a busy route 1 around 4:30 p.m. emergency workers took half of the 22 wedding guests to the hospital.

monster. category 4. it's getting ready to make the turn to the north, as it does so it will ride up the windward passage, clobbering eastern cuba, bringing ten to 12 inches of rain. possibly higher for some of the higher elevations of cuba. it eemerges over the waters of -- re-emerges over the waters of atlantic. where does it go from there? some models show an east coast hit and others show it going out to sea. all the models take it out to sea which is great news for the eastern seaboard. there is one lone model that shows an ease coast hit, right now we'll go with the consensus up the coast and out to sea. for today, mostly cloudy, sunshine possible, drizzle expected from time to time, 70 in philadelphia. 66 in allentown.
