6:00 a.m., sky6 live hd looking at the commodor barry bridge. you can see rain drops on the lens. kind of a wet start to the morning, chris. >> reporter: it's the same thing over and over again, more clouds more fog, more drizzle. let's get you outside, as we look live on center city skyline. you can't see much of anything because of the low-level clouds and patchy fog. we're seeing drizzle and misting. tempts in the 50s and 60s. poconos, 51. millville, 63. dover, 64. cape may showing 66. satellite and radar we have improving signs here. the upper level low which was sitting here yesterday is starting to move, it's up across the great lake states, that means we'll see clouds and patchy drizzle today.

filings in new york, new jersey and connecticut show a net loss of $916 million in federal taxable income. the filings were sent to the times anonymously, they may help hillary clinton approve other argument trump was not paying taxes for years. that came out as trump was campaigning in lancaster county, pennsylvania. which youchuck severson has mor. >> reporter: new york times claims it has obtained donald trump's tax records. trump declared 916 million-dollar loss on 1995 tax returns which could have allowed him to legally avoid paying federal income taxes for up to 18 careers. trump's campaign issued a statement that trump is not required to pay more in taxes than the law requires, it did not deny that he did not pay federal taxes. donald trump turning hillary clinton's words will bernie

weekend were remembered yesterday. friends and families gathered at chase center to remember jersey jeer and christopher leach. the wilmington fire chief fought back tears. joe biden attended the service and under families to lean on each other and the fire community. >> hold each other tight, because when you do, they will both be there. >> at the end of that service, jerry fickes was promoted to lieutenant and christopher leach to fire captain. bob brooks will have more from the memorial in the next half-hour. federal investigators say all the signals leading into the hoboken terminal are working properly and not a factor in the crash of the new jersey transit train. the ntsb said it hadn't studied all of the signals yet because the train is still in the

station and structural issues are preventing the crews from getting to the main section of the crash site. ntsb is reviewing camera footage looking for clues. an audit found dozens of safety violations months before the deadly crash. septa said the service will continue tomorrow on all the regional rail lines. septa pull 120 cars out of service in july due to defects. septa said enough cars will be available by tomorrow. it's illegal for uber and lyft drivers to operate in philadelphia. it's legal everywhere else. we look at what else change and how -- what's changed and how it could affect public schools. >> reporter: riders say they have no plans to stop using the

of rain. that's more than than they've received in years. as we look outside, we have more rain in the delaware and lehigh valleys. a lot of patchy fog, as well. it's a miserable morning around the region. temperatures on the cooler side. we have lost the breezes. don't expect to see sunshine upstairs, unfortunately. we may get into some breaks, but generally speaking it is another cloudy day. look at the rainfall totals, milton, delaware, 13 inches of rain, that's over a foot in the last five days, seaford, 10.7. port norris, 4.5. cape may, new jersey, 4 1/2 inches of rain. going back to wednesday afternoon, some of the areas picked up more rain in the last 3 or 4 days that they receive in

the windward passage along cuba. it re-emerges over the atlantic as a hurricane 3. the night runs came in, they take the storm like that close to the u.s. mainland and pushes it out to sea, which would be a miss for us. most of the models take the storm out to sea before it gets to the delaware and the lehigh valley. we'll see if that holds up. that's positive news from overnight. mostly cloudy, drizzle, 70 degrees is the forecasted high. there will be breaks of sunshine from time to time. this is generally a cloudy day, overnight tonight, mist and drizzle areas of fog, 56 degrees for outlying suburbs, 59 for center city. the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast, shows 76 degrees mostly sunny skies later on tomorrow.

happening. here's philadelphia here, we're in a cut off low pattern. the jet stream steers storms across the united states. let's say the jet stream looks like, when you have an area of low pressure it will follow that line all the way across the country from west to east. but sometimes what happens, the jet stream will look like and the low gets stuck down here and then it has nowhere to go and it sits and spins and spins and spins, counter clockwise winds bring moisture in off the ocean and we lock in the clouds and we get the persistent drizzle and periods of rain. that's the pattern we've been in over the last several days. looks like the low will get on its way and move north into canada. in the next couple of days we'll see skies brighten up again, we lose the chance for showers and temperatures start to warm. we have one more dreary afternoon. city of philadelphia. breaks of sun, mist and drizzle.

and trump's campaign advisor mayor rudy giulianiy and bernie sanders. a victim was shot in the leg standing on the porch of the 3200 block of d street around 2:00 a.m. the shooter was able to drive away. the woman is in stable condition. now to the solemn public memorial for two wilmington firefighters. hundreds came across the country including vice president joe biden to honor the lives of jerry fickes and christopher leach. bob brooks was there. >> reporter: firefighters from all over the country packed the chase center to pay their fallen respects to christopher leach and jerry fickes. a touching opening prayer. >> all mighty and merciful

officers confronted him, they say they ordered to take his hands out of pocket. when he did so abruptly, 9 officers fired 109 times. >> for him, it's still unreal, the thing he did to his own kid, but in the end, it wasn't fair that the cops shot an unarmed man that many times. >> commissioner ross said he is concerned about the number of shots that were fired, he believes that may have been a case of contagious or reactionary fire, it is when one officer shoots and others believe they are under fire and fire their weapons, as well. >> investigators are looking into what caused the new jersey

transit train tragedy. the engineer has been interviewed. >> reporter: beneath a massive tangle of steel and glass, crucial evidence in the train crash that killed one person and injured 114 others. >> because of the asbestos and the unsettled structures we're unsure about i'm not allowing anybody to go in there. >> reporter: the sheer extent of the wreckage in hoboken, new jersey is keeping the ntsb from and go the main part of the crash. trapped down there, an event recorder and forward facing camera. officials want to know how fast the train was going and if the brakes were used before it slammed into the station. investigators have one recorder one kept at the back of the train. investigators did speak with the engineer 48-year-old thomas gallagher, but there are no

details on the meeting. preliminary drug and alcohol tests came back negative. witnesses say the train was going three times faster than normal as it approached the platform. the impact so violent that part of the station ceiling collapsed raining debris on the hundreds of people standing around waiting. while ntsb want to get access to more of the wreckage, they are interviewing witnesses. >> we want to find out not only what happened, but why it happened so we can prevent it from happening again. a trolly carrying wedding guests flipped over near dewey beach. the jolly trolley wrecked on a busy route 1 around 4:30 p.m. emergency workers took half of the 22 wedding guests to the hospital.

it's getting on its way and moving north into the great lake states. that's the flow of the cloud and the rain and the drizzle that's the storm that's responsible for that. this is the feature that will kick the upper level low out to sea and get us back to normal with the return of sunshine later this week. future tracker 6 shows a few breaks of sunshine possible, but you'll see a mostly cloudy sky and occasional mist and drizzle taking place. easterly breeze 5 to 15 miles per hour. overnight tonight we'll see the occasional shower mist and drizzle lots of low-level clouds. this afternoon, the skies will brighten up west to east, kind of a dirty sky. we'll see the breaks of sun and it will start to dry out and warm up, as well. this is haiti and the dominican republic. this is hurricane matthew, a

monster. category 4. it's getting ready to make the turn to the north, as it does so it will ride up the windward passage, clobbering eastern cuba, bringing ten to 12 inches of rain. possibly higher for some of the higher elevations of cuba. it eemerges over the waters of -- re-emerges over the waters of atlantic. where does it go from there? some models show an east coast hit and others show it going out to sea. all the models take it out to sea which is great news for the eastern seaboard. there is one lone model that shows an ease coast hit, right now we'll go with the consensus up the coast and out to sea. for today, mostly cloudy, sunshine possible, drizzle expected from time to time, 70 in philadelphia. 66 in allentown.
