comments." but his democratic challenger katie mcginty says toomey lacks the courage and backbone of republicans who have disavowed trump. donald trump opened the taj mahal in atlantic city 26 years ago calling it the eighth wonder of the world. well, carl icahn closed the casino today. still, by definition, it remains a wild card. in atlantic city, john rawlins channel6 "action news". >> thank you john. a late morning crash in chester county resulted in serious injuries today. two vehicles collided on route 41 near friendship church road in cochranville. this was 11:30 this morning. investigators haven't said what led to the crash. route 41 was closed for several hours as police conducted their investigation. fire this morning chased 34 people from their apartments in pemberton, new jersey. "action news" reporter bob brooks is live in the 100 block of west hampton street. bob what's the latest there? >> reporter: jim, good evening, the latest is this is now a crime scene. all signs pointing to this being a case of arson. and now the state police are heading up the investigation. behind me there you can he see the fire started right behind the yellow crime scene tape and now a lot of people are out of a home. today eight families in

pemberton are scrambling to find a place to live. it's after this, a massive fire that ripped through the pine meadows apartment complex. cell phone video captures the moments before fire crews arrive. >> my girlfriend was sleep. i just hear sirens. i looked out the window i just seen flames everywhere. i'm like oh my goddism at this point we're told this likely isn't an accident and there's video to back that claim up. the pemberton fire department says the state police respect handling the investigation. >> i have a nine-year-old daughter. >> reporter: julio torres news like this is a neither mayor. you hear he has a daughter then just moved here to the pine meadows complex. >> safest thing for this area so i'm kind of reluctant about this neighborhood now. >> reporter: the good news is no one was hurt but the damage is extensive. as you can see in one of the units next to where the fire started the roof is caved in debris has fallen all over the kitchen and right next door in one of the children's room the roof caved in here as well. debris he has fallen all over the toys and all over his

international headlines when the city erected this scraggly christmas tree on penn square. it was referred toes a the charlie brown christmas tree likening it to the scrawny sapling from the peanuts holiday classic. reddings mayor scott says he still doesn't understand all the hoop l he loved that tree. >> i see beauty in everything, okay, and i thought that this tree that was the charlie brown tree it deserved a christmas as same as the collar he lee brown he tree. >> reporter: a piece of that tree remains in the city. local officials used the wood to he create this bench. reading officials have signed off on a plan to post a 35-foot artificial tree this year at the corner of fifth and penn. mayor scott also says that while he's always preferred live trees, it really is a waste. >> i wish that i could get another tree like that and put it downtown but i'm sort of like getting away from cutting

friends of the cheltenham nursing and rehabilitation center. the celebration included live music dancing and of course a big cake. mrs. turner was born in brad he lee south -- bradley south carolina. he she moved to philadelphia at the age of 20 and she's been here ever since. sunshine. that will bring us clear skies tonight and that diminishing wind. so tonight clear and cold and again frost in the suburbs, frost on the pumpkins, 33 degrees the cooler suburbs, 43 he degrees for center city. so, the bus stop forecast tomorrow, may want to bundle up the kids. actually hats and gloves not a bad idea if they're spending a long time outdoors because at 6 o'clock, 38 degrees and by 8 o'clock, really not warming up much, 40 degrees. another day tomorrow with a lot of sunshine, 66 degrees the high. so 1 degree higher than today but the winds will be light so i actually think tomorrow will be a little bit more comfortable than today. heading into wednesday, this high pressure moves away from us. we begin to pull in some moisture from the ocean, so mixture of clouds and sun, 68 degrees. ahead of that front on thursday, we make it up into the low 70's and then behind that front on friday, back into the 60's. little bit of moisture with that front will really evaporate. that front will likely come through dry. the exclusive accuweather
