two college volleyball coaches are placed on leave at the university of delaware. and officials say they know what caused a train derailment this morning in paulsboro, new jersey. and the big story is gun fire across the street from a playground in philadelphia. right now two other young victims remain hospitalized. "action news" reporter, annie mccoralic is joining the investigation and joins us from police headquarters. >> reporter: rick, police think that at one point at least one victim was in that playground but there are a lot of questions surrounding this triple shooting that ended up killing at least one teenager. one thin they do know is there are more witnesses that have come forward. >> we kept our son close, and kept his friends close. >> reporter: shot in the chest, and a 16-year-old shot in the

torso were rushed to the hospital. bronson was pronounced dead. and the other is critical. a 21-year-old shot in the neck ran to the 16th district for help before they took him to the hospital. it happened off the 3100 block of sterling. his mother had this to say about who might be responsible. >> i ain't going to say your name but you best believe we know you. >> bronson moton was home schooled and excelled in football was well liked. >> he didn't start nothing. everybody gravitated to him. everybody loves him. >> police commissioner richard ross says they found a resolver and a shoe at the scene as well as shell casings from another gun and several bicycles left behind. they are still looking for a motive. >> some descriptions say that a male was running down from the

scene with one sneaker and dark clothing. >> police are looking for more people to come forward and there were more people on the block at the time of the shooting. if you have information you are urged to contact police. rick back to you. >> thank you. and philadelphia police say that they are on guard this noon after someone allegedly tried to set a cruiser on fire last night. the would be arsonist did not succeed. the officer found a burnt piece of paper sticking out of the gas tank of the vehicle. the car did not ignite and the car was not damaged. katherine scott is talking to police officials and will have the latest coming up at 12:30. rescue crews have another busy day in north carolina. saving residents trapped by the floodwaters. this is lumberton, one of the

are looking into a freight train derailment in paulsboro, new jersey, three cars jumped the track when they ran into a bent piece of track, the train was leaving when a crash near penn line road. the cars were empty and posed no danger to the public. eagles right tackle lane johnson is on the sidelines when the birds face washington today. the nfl upheld johnson's 10 game suspension for using performance enhancing substantials. johnson appealed the suspension and was allowed to play against detroit this past sunday but now he must sit out until december 22nd. >> breaking news from north philadelphia. chopper 6 hd is over a shooting here. police say that a man has been shot near the intersection of north 11th street and eerie avenues. you can see the police there on

the scene now. limited information at this points. it happened at 11:30, a short time ago, no word on the victim's condition and we'll monitor this from north philadelphia and bring you update as they become availableable. two volleyball coaches are on administrative leave by the university of delaware. bonnie kenny and cindy gregory are on leave since friday. the university confirmed the news but is not giving a reason for the decision. 11 children took a detour on the way to school after the bus driver had a mishap in princeton. it hit a barrier over the stoney brook bridge and had a flat tire. the middle school student his to wait for another bus to take them to school. nobody was injured. turning to politics, the presidential election less than a month away. today is the deadline to register to vote in pennsylvania. bob brooks is live at the

montgomery county voter services office in norristown where employees are very busy today. >> reporter: rick, extremely busy. i want to give you a statistic, since the primary election, more than 16,000 people have registered to vote in montgomery county. obviously there is a lot of excitement surrounding the november 8th election. lets see how you can do so today. up on the sixth floor on one montgomery plaza you'll find two dozen employees walking on one of their busiest days of the year. the montgomery voter services, today is the last day to reg ser to vote in pennsylvania if you want to cast your ballots in the november 8th election. this is a unique election cycle and with that being said dr. valerie says they are busy and the turnout huge. >> we are busy we see this every

a new jersey man has file aid lawsuit in connection with last month's deadly new jersey crash in hoboken. two lawyers have announced the lawsuit this morning. the victim riding in the first car of the claim was seriously injured. and is filing the lawsuit in the hope of stopping another deadly incident. one person was killed and more than 100 injured in the crash. samsung has pulled the plug on the galaxy note 7. they will stop making it permanently. dozens. the original phones caught fire and some replacement phones overheated. samsung has blamed a manufacturing defect in the batteries. a girl will be reunited with her family sometime today. authorities found rebecca lewis in memphis, tennessee along with

the man accused of taking her. he was known by the lewis family but had not seen him in two years. the little girl seems to be unharmed. police are searching for three men near the nation's capital this morning. they allegedly robbed a diner and fled in a bmw, then hit cars on the highway in mount laurel, maryland. at least one shot was fired and several people were taken to the hospital with minor injuries. a wild fire is threatening homes and wineries in napa county, california. the blaze broke out yesterday afternoon, and is burning dangerously close to neighborhoods. mandatory evacuations are underway, and officials have opened a temporary shelter in downtown napa. hundreds of thousands of parents are feeling relieved because the nation's third largest school district has avoided a strike.

the chicago's teacher's union was planning to walk off the job, but early this morning both sides reached a tentative agreement than means students are in class today. this would be the second major strike for teachers in chicago since 2012. coming up a warning against exercising when are you feeling angry. why the timing could have a serious impab on your health.
