after this college student became the victim of a home invasion right in the middle of the day today and right here on lombard off of broad street. we spoke to the victim's roommate and she says the victim is doing okay but she is quite shaken up. this 19-year-old university of the arts student lives in the apartment where two armed men barged in this morning looking to rob the place and she didn't want to be identified. she happened to be in class at the time. her roommate another university of the art student was home alone in the apartment on the 1400 block of lombard. >> someone knocked on the door and she opened it and they barged their way in and they were like -- they were asking her for money and they like ransacked the place looking. >> the two men got away in the car heading westbound on lombard

still on a long road to recovery. >> sergeant owens remains hospitalized. vernon odom has the story tonight. >> his spirit is high and is he trying to recover. >> chef jewel williams describes his visit to sergeant owens, he was injured in early august when an elevator at the justice center crashed. he was in an induced coma for a long period and many fears he would not survive, and now he is in a rehab center with his full faculties but paralyzed. they will hold a beef and beer fundraiser at the fop lodge in the northeast. >> the goal is to help the family offset some of the costs and help his wife get around. it's a long road to recovery so she needs the support.

as you head even 5 to 10 miles inland. as we get into thursday, low pressure will develop along the boundary coming in a quick round of rain north and west of the city, and depending on where this front sets up shop here, 78 is the average on thursday, north of the city it could be much cooler than that. and warmer south of the city it all depends on where that front drapes itself. future tracker temperatures here on your thursday, will show starting at 53 in allentown and 64 in millville. as we take a look at the exclusive accuweather seven-day forecast again tomorrow records will fall, rather cloudy with a couple of showers early thursday, and 78 and cooler to the north and warmer to the south, some sun with a left over shower and 73 and saturday it's windy and chilly and gray. our high temperature only in the 50s. with limited sunshine.
