found the plane had broken apart and the tiny cabin upside down and the to occupants cut out of the wreckage. >> one was worse than the other male but not talking. lets put it that way. they were conscious both. >> late today the chief of police tom brennan says the pair are improving. >> apparently the pilot and passenger will survive their injuries, they are banged up expectedly. but they will probably be released in the next few days. >> the aircraft is identifies as an airco couple 13. this will particular model believed to be owned by someone in maryland had been rented and according to the faa and last departed the airport in medford. the faa has inspectors on the ground trying to determine why the plane crashed. >> reporter: now authorities

wow what happened. >> aretha lewis, came home to find a crashed plane in her backyard. this was the first time she learned a plane fell out of the sky into her address this afternoon. >> i am glad no one died. no kids were out playing. >> your house is okay? >> yes. >> prior to the crash, neighbors heard the engine of the low flying plane. >> was like i thought it was a garbage truck and all of a sudden my mom was like it was a plane. oh my god. it's a plane and too low. >> some heard the crash and many didn't think much of it until the sounds of all the sirens echoed across the neighborhood. >> heard a bang and i thought it was a car crash, my husband went out to check and didn't see anything. that was it. and later we heard the sirens and we came out. >> they came down here so fast your head will spin. >> they did a fantastic job.

philadelphia. it is difficult to watch. but police are hoping it can help to identify the suspect. he grabbed the cab driver and stabbed him several times in the back. investigators believe that the man was trying to rob the all three's taxi driver who fort fatally survived the attack. it happened on the 5800 block of ray street. if you recognize the suspect you are urged to contact philadelphia police. more details are emerging about a shooting in rittenhouse scare last night. a good samaritan was hit several timed when he tried to break up an armed robbery in the square. police identified a 17-year-old as one of three suspects and actively trying to find him and the other suspects have not been identified. the 35-year-old victim remains in critical but stable condition. it is now quiet inside of the thomas and mack arena at the campus of unlv, but there will

this is the way it looked as philadelphia police descending on independence mall last night looking for suspects involving a shooting of two vehicles, they believe the shots were fired elsewhere and one vehicle stopped at 5th and arch and the driver jumped out and ran on foot. they were unable to locate the driver the other vehicle involved hasn't been found. police need volunteers to search for a missing woman in bucked county. volunteers are scouring for any sign of lindsay pick own. she went missing on september 5th. meet at 101 swamp road at 1:00

in the morning. friends met today to honor the life of the young mother allegedly beaten to death at the hands of her boyfriend. the family of joyce quayway was there holding the two girls they left behind. erin wright a former temple university police officer admitted to beating her until she collapsed. the incident happened in july. today' event raised money for her family. >> the tributes continued today for a former member of our channel 6 family. captain noah was honored posthumously by the body cast pioneers of philadelphia. friends and former colleagues including david roberts shared their memories today and he died in august at the age of 90. a new baking facility is coming to trenton for dunkin'
