they want pension reforms and septa says that the union members need to pay more for their health plan and the union wants new schedules because the existing system leads to driver fatigue. there does not appear there will be a bundle of extra money coming from anywhere. >> i talked to the governor there is no money there, i talked to the mayor there is no money there. and i talked to our transportation chairman. >> apparently no readily available money from the feds either at this point at least, brady is one of those that are optimistic that the two sides are close and he says the pension issue still remains a sticking point. john rawlins, channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. we'll switch live to "action news" reporter walter perez at the 69 and street terminal.

what are commuters saying tonight? >> i can't repeat everything they had to say but they are anxious for the strike to end. it came as no surprise that septa riders are getting really frustrating. >> i don't want to take away the ability to strike, but the commuters suffer. how do they work it in new york street. >> william turner suffers from kidney disease and he is already an hour late for his dialysis treatment after working several blocks out of his way for a stop where a none striking bus line is still operating and it was running a half hour behind schedule. >> if i get there to 2:00 i can only stay there until 4:00, i won't get my four hour treatment and i can't go back until friday because i work tomorrow all day. >> the people you think would benefit are taxi cab drivers but

the cabbies we spoke with say that the traffic jams at rush hour especially in center city are keeping them from capitalizing on this opportunity. >> taking the customer downtown, two or three hours going and coming back. you can charge a couple dollar extra but it take a lot of time. >> we spoke with septa strikers and hope that customers empathize. >> we have a job and families to take care of as well. we hope that the contract is fair and the riding public understands what we need is as important as what septa wants. >> there are are winners, among them the bike sharing system along with uber and lyft both reporting a rise in business the last two days. >> walter thank you. septa provides rides for 60,000 public and private charter school students, central high

according to a new abc "washington post" tracking poll. that means it's updated every day. hillary clinton and donald trump are deadlocked at 46% and yesterday trump was ahead by one point and 3% of likely voters support gary johnson and 2% for jill stein. and a monmouth poll has katie mcginty leading pat toomey for the u.s. senate seat. here 47% to 44% and that is within the margin of error. which is 4.9%. in delaware hundreds of fourth and fifth graders have chosen whom they want to be president. they cast their votes in a statewide mock election. students here in bear stood in line to make sure their voices are heard. the results will be on friday. coming up on "action news" tonight. atlantic city officials are fighting a financial takeover by the state, and eagles wide

and resulted in 64 arrests and officers seized 15 guns, three cars and $16,000 in cash and $23,000 worth of narcotics, they conducted the raids to make sure they were off the street before halloween. officials in atlantic city are reacting today by the reaction by the state of their five year financial recovery plan. this is not a happy day at city hall. nora muchanic has the story. >> it will be a disaster if they come in and take over. the city did what they had to do. >> but the department of affairs says they did not. they rejected the recovery plan. >> they are basing it on information that they said was not clear enough and we are providing all the backup information, after that we'll certainly going to be going to court. >> the city proposed cutting 100

employees and settling taxes with the casinos and selling property. the state called it deficient. they said it seemed like a foregone conclusion. >> the plan was not to see if the plan would work but to review it. >> if the state take over happens the state could control city assets and renegotiate city contracted and make all decisions. >> if the state of new jersey comes here they will give reads of atlantic city up to a 40% tax increase, they want us to raise taxes and this plan doesn't do that. >> governor christie said in five years he would turn around atlantic city, as you see this is the result. >> city officials maintain this will not lead to fiscal stability the next step is to approve the takeover and the city says they will go to court

showers and thunderstorms, tomorrow morning it will be mild and overnight lows close to the normal high for this time of year. 61 and a little bit of patchy fog could develop and i don't think we'll see that in philadelphia and out lying suburbs, 6:00, 56 degrees and the same at 8:0057, a mild morning for the commuters who many of them have a long wait to work. a lot of people even walking to work. 7:30 tomorrow morning some patchy fog across south jersey and 58 degrees already and heading into the afternoon, by lunch time 72 degrees in philadelphia, you can see the showers and thunderstorms across the northern and lehigh valley and the poconos, it moves through the i-95 corridor at 4:00, 5:00 and could have an impact on the evening commute and moves off quickly at 7:00 and moves off on friday.
