the philadelphia eagles have just released wide receiver, josh huff following his arrest on the walt whitman bridge. more on that decision coming up. >> police arrested the second teenager wanted for a shooting on rittenhouse square. but the big story on "action news" is day three of the septa strike. septa accused the union of walking out of the negotiations. annie mccormick is live. >> reporter: we can tell you that words are being exchanged. but whether they are over the table we don't know right now. we can tell that you the words are being etch changed from the statements from septa and the union. it was last night that they said that talks broke down and septa said after days of optimistic discussions and both sides were

optimist optimistics. but last night they released a statement blaming local union 354 for halting progress was made. saying they offered enhanced pension increase of 8% and health care cost per week $8 to $41 a week for a cadillac health care plan. and it was all through the five year contract. minutes ago like you said. local 234 president, willy brown released a scathing response to septa saying they stone walled negotiations for months and did not utter a ward during the first 16 hours of negotiations and the union has been prepared to bargain day and night and will not apologize to try to keep quality health care for our

members and their families and talking about suspending the strike for election day, work to get a settlement now. words are exchanged but not at the negotiatiing table. we know there are people in the sheridan and we hear maybe 11:00 is when they would get back at the table. we know that septa has negotiators there and we have personally not seen anybody from sitting notice lobby i can tell you, but hoping to get back to the table after seeing the responses and statements we expect to hear possibly more from them today. as of now we hear that the talks are not underway. that is the latest here from the sheridan center. back to you. >> annie, thank you. >> from contract negotiations to another day of commuter frustrations, thousands have to find another way to get to work and school this morning and it hasn't been easy. lets go live to katherine scott at the overbrook train station

firefighter artis hope remains in critical condition. leach andficous died in the blaze. a second teenager is arrested -- police announced that he is facing numerous charges, including attempted murder. investigators say that he and another man were trying to commit another robbery on october 18th. a passerby tried to grab a gun and shot the passerby multiple times. the jury in the bridge gate case tried to file for a mistri mistrial. they are weighing the charges for three days and they allegedly created traffic jams to punish the democratic mayor for not endorsing republican governor, chris christie. donald trump's wife is

campaigning in chester county. people are gathering in berwyn to see melania trump's speech this afternoon. this is her first public speaking event since the controversy at the republican national convention, abc news learned the speech was written by melania herself with help from the campaign manager. ahead of the speech, local women gathered outside of main line center to call for hillary clinton's election. they called trump demeaning toward women. both presidential candidates are holding events in other key states and donald trump is continuing a swing through florida. and president obama is there too campaigning for hillary clinton. both nominees have scheduled appearances in north carolina. we'll have a full report on the presidential race coming up at 12:30. we are checking sports, chicago cubs fans have a big reason to celebrate today. the cubs are now world series
