hour. if there's going to be any complaints today it would be that, otherwise perfect conditions. mostly sunny skies and breezy. that's the call from accuweather today, of 3 degrees that's the forecasted high. tomorrow pretty much the same thing. will the comfortable nice weather last as we head into next week? i'll come a back in just a few minutes with the answer. 7:02. we have an update about this, the massive water main break that flooded east falls parking lot. this morning there has been signature fat improvement after the area was inundated by millions of gallons of water as you see there. we can tell you that 75 people had to be rescued from baker center on fox street. at least four stores were impacted costing half million dollars in damages. the philadelphia water department said this is the 4th time it happened in the area since january 2014. 6 million gallons of water all

spilled out there. shopping carts and mannequins surged on to the street. we ended up rescuing or moving across the water, 75 people and sheltered 150 people in the shopping center. >> i took that rag and was wringing it and stomping it. i just had my rugs cleaned. water main in the area is more than 100 years old. there's talks to reroute the transmission lines, it takes millions of dollars. one person is dead after a collision that happened in northeast philadelphia. we know one car burst into flames. this happened on the 1600 hundred block of grant avenue. the impact caused the car to slam into the utility pole. it brought down high tension lines igniting the fire.

fire department had to wait for me co-to turn over the power before they can put out the flames. >> the body is bundler beyond recognition, it's just a skeleton. you can't tell if it is a male or female. we don't know who it is. the vehicle is so badly burned we can't tell what type of vehicle it was. >> two other people are said to be in stable condition. the septa strike is getting ugly, today marks day five workers have been off the job. a scheduled face-to-face meeting yesterday was called off. septa has filed a lawsuit to force workers back on the job. >> the judge was very clear there's no competence evidence. >> reporter: attorney general for the union praised the judge who ruled that the septa workers strike is not causing a clear and present danger to

philadelphians that's the argument septa officials made in court for whose who rely on the transit system the most, school children, the poor, disabled and sick. the union maintains it's not that bad. >> people in philadelphia are finding alternate ways to get where they have to get they are walking, riding bikes, leasing cars and sharing rides. >> we're not going to lie down and can't resolve this strike and watch our passengers suffer. >> reporter: the strike has stopped 900,000 rides a day. >> i'm fed up with that. >> reporter: leading to gridlock and long commutes. >> this traffic is no good, spending more gas and more time. >> let's go septa get on the ball, get back to work. these people need to get around. >> reporter: there's concern that work stoppage could affect voter turn out on tuesday. both sides return to court on monday morning where septa will

because of the history. >> the valves were not fully opened. we wanted to get a quicker shut. it's 100-plus turns. >> reporter: to shut the ball valve? >> yes. >> reporter: 6 million gallons of water spewed out causing roughly $500,000 worth of damage to businesses and cars. >> the water was up here, i was stomping it and wringing it and stomping it. >> reporter: some customers thinks it may be time to find another place to shop. >> this place is cursed. >> reporter: this is the site of the old tastykake bakery. before this latest break, the water department had placebos to reroute the -- had plans to reroute the transmission lines but it takes time and money.

she was unconscious and no one knew what to do. an ambulance arrived. emergency workers tried to save her, but too much time had passed. it only takes four to 6 minutes without oxygen tore brain damage to start. katherine died at the hospital after choking on a piece of lobster. >> we had the same question, we found out restaurants don't have to have people on staff that know cpr or the heimlich. >> reporter: party hartman katherine's daughter is trying to change that. she has delaware state representative brian short looking into the issue. several states including new jersey have laws that require restaurants to display posters like this one on how to help one choking. a few states go a step turgt requiring staff -- further
