[laughter]. temperatures are cold, it's blustery we have a breeze, we expect the wind to diminish as the afternoon wears on. it's not as windy as yesterday where we had gusts up to 30 miles per hour and some locations closer to 40, right now it's five to ten.

has become the popular question on my twitter handle over the past couple of weeks, where is the cold? this is philadelphia, this is the arctic circle that's where all the cold air is, northern alaska and the northwest territories. we have a huge stagnant low pressure sitting there. it's driving pacific air across the lower 48. keeping all the cold air at bay, it doesn't have a chance to come down into the lower 48. we get a cold shot for a day or two, and retreats back to the north, not the sustainable cold. here's the cold, that low will be replaced with an area of high pressure. it's no time frame when this will happen, maybe a week or two weeks from now. the winds blow in a clockwise fashion from the high. you need that to get it driven into the lower 48.

oklahoma. administrators in oklahoma say they have temporarily suspended the student. penn students learned of the developments in an e-mail from the school. world of the messages sent shock waves through the campus. jeff chirico talked to students reacting to the threats last night. >> i felt scared, i didn't know where this was coming from. >> reporter: nate morris is one of those who found himself added to a racist group chat aimed at black penn students. the messages on an account called mud men including racial slurs. >> they made an event, they will lynch any black person they could lynch. >> reporter: a number of black students targeted gathered at a private meeting to discuss the incident. others march outside in protest. >> this is one of the last places i would expect something like that. >> reporter: some connected the incident to the election,

unique issues facing the president-elect as he prepares to take office. 7:36 one person is dead after his car collided head on with a septa bus, this happened on hog island road tinicum township delaware county. the bus was on the way to pick up employees finishing up their shift at the ups facility. nobody on the bus was injured. three people were hurt after a crash and we learned that one was a new jersey state trooper. his cruiser collided with a car on route 30 in evesham county. the trooper's car ended up in a marsh he broke his leg and had to be rescued from the cruiser. two people in the other car were sent to the hospital. route 70 was closed in both directions for hours. this morning, philadelphia police are working to track down two dangerous suspects connected to an armed robbery spree, the
