game. hopefully this continues. >> we'll take it. >> moving on to the latest in the investigation into what police are describing as flash mob attacks in center city. 6 people were injured including an off duty philadelphia police detective when a group of juveniles assaulted complete strangers at 16th and walnut. christie ileto is live at the scene. >> reporter: walter it was yesterday that the incident unfolded. as you look around it is busy for something lights to happen here. another person was attacked around the corner from where we are standing. while police have arrested two teens they are looking for more suspects. >> rattled by the sudden burst of violence, dwight ran into a nearby store to escape the melee. >> i heard a lady screaming they were down there fighting.

me and a couple of other people were in urban out fitters they locked the doors. >> a group of teens started assaulting pedestrians on a busy saturday evening in center city. an off duty police detective who was walking with his wife tried to intervene. the crowd disturbed but the -- disbursed but they noticed a second group of teens attacking another woman. gary who is homeless was steps where the incident unfolded. >> a bunch of cops were flying on bikes. there was a bunch of kids and the cops were going after them. >> a 28-year-old man was attacked by a group of teens around 16th street. it left who live in shock, unsettled. >> i'm surprised i could see it

coming. the last couple of years you could see a change, a big change. >> reporter: now the police officer who tried to intervene suffered a fractured eye socket he was taken to a nearby hospital. police are looking for surveillance footage to identify anybody else who was involved anyone with information is asked to contact detectives. reporting live in center city, christie ileto channel 6 "action news." >> thank you. two women were seriously injured when they were struck by a car in center city. it happened at 2:30 a.m. at 11th and market. a pickup truck struck the women in the crosswalk. the women were rushed to the hospital in critical condition. this was veterans day this past friday. all weekend long people were honoring our men and women, the

pottstown, montgomery got a new addition today. "action news" was there as the last painted needed was delivered to the pottstown memorial park. it was loaded in the truck and delivered to the carousel. the poney named morning glory has been ready since the spring. a unique auction took place at the union league in center city. several rare truffles paired with italian wine. truffles are not much to look at. the rare alba white truffle was piedmont italy was up for auction. the truffles and wine went for $4,000. proceeds benefit the national italian american foundation. in delaware, volunteers made blanket to put into duffel

bags for children to take with them. kind to kids will distribute the bags to children in delaware. the my blue duffel program so designed to give youngsters a sense of comfort during an often difficult transition. kids were busy in horsham today's santa's helpers filled cart after cart with toys for children in need to be handed out next month.
